Very interesting Claudio . I was wondering if there are written rules to write a Madrigual , rather than the today's classical harmonic rules taught in conservatories ?

Hello! Thank you for commenting and taking the time to watch the video. Your question is not an easy one to answer for me: the thing is that madrigals tend to be very free and flexible as far as the form is concerned, and often follow the text's form closely. The main characteristic of madrigalistic writing is word-painting, where the composer attempts to deptict the meaning of the text in music, by harmonic, melodic and/or counterpuntal means. If you want to learn to write a madrigal in a given style, I suggest you to take two approaches:
      1) analize as many madrigals of your favorite period/composer as you can, trying to understand how that given composer tends to depict certain words.
      2) given that you have knowledge in modern counterpoint and harmony, give a read to one of the treaties written in the era you are trying to emulate, so as to have a better idea of how different the process of writing was back then.
If you are talking about writing a modern-day madrigal, then I suppose the same concept of trying to express the text applies, but with your own personal harmonic and melodic language. The beauty of composing today is that you can really choose to be influenced by a vast array of past eras and composers, and mix and match your musical preferences and experiences in your writing.
Here are a few of my own personal madrigals:
      - "La Supplica" on a passage from Dante's "Divina Commedia":

      - "The Silver Swan":

I hope I didn't miss the focus of what you were asking. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment!
