I just want to thank you for your video's. They help me in times like these. I am 53 years old, single, a disabled veteran and battle with depression and anxiety. During the holidays is the worst. I feel super lonely and isolated. I commend you for traveling alone. I'm sure it must feel lonely at times also, but you always have a smile on your face and seem happy. Happy New Year and stay strong.

One of the things I really appreciate about your videos is they are not just totally adds for sponsors all the time. I've stopped following a lot of people because they fall into the sponsorship trap where they stop producing what they started with and have 5 minutes of content every 20 minutes of advertisements. You have stayed true to yourself. That says a lot.
Sadly, the sincere, personal share YT channel, that is quality produced, yet not sold out to the monied interests, is rare. Some channels pair well with an endorsement or 2. This channel would not be as enjoyable being interrupted by the product gibberish…
I'm a trucker. Sometimes I have to idle my truck overnight. It's a volvo 760. On my truck it will low idle most of the time and like every maybe hour and a half it will kick up the rpms to maybe 15-1700 for a few minutes and clear everything up. Saves fuel. Also, diesel engines are just awesome. They're like a perfectly tuned swiss watch. The sound of a good diesel is the bees knees.
In a big truck use your cruise control to up the idle, it's better for it as well. I idled my truck if it was below 15, and I took these beer loads and under 20 we idled them-it jiggles the trailer enough to keep the beer, well budweiser, from freezing.

"High idle" improves the oil pump's output pressure and flow, which is good for the engine's longevity, especially in cold conditions. Also the alternator's output increases, which is beneficial if the vehicle has a high electrical load, such as auxiliary batteries and heaters.
Just watched the interaction with the guy w/the dog. One of the things I love most about traveling is meeting and talking with so many interesting people. My wife says I'll talk with anybody... She's right! Loving the videos, especially the drone shot. wow!
I feel that way about Flagstaff AZ. The difference is it’s not a challenge but such a special place. There is no place like it. It frees my mind, my spirit and my physicality. I become one with it all. I feel whole, complete. I do summer. No winters. I’m done with cold and snow.
Thanks Tim I hope you had a great holiday. I enjoy watching the videos, because I can only imagine the hard work people put in building those roads in the middle of nowhere! Much Respect to those who put in the hard work building roads to make life easier and enjoyable!

Listening to your comments around choosing a place to live that has some discomfort resonated with me. I think it goes hand in hand with witnessing the drawbacks of what modernity has wrought on the natural world. Comfort at all cost has removed us from an important aspect of our humanity - I am pleased to see so many others looking to find it again in nature. Keep up the good work!

@truckhouselife Truck house life A suggestion for you to save money, is to find a remote heater core, one with a fan like they have as add ons for side by sides. Install it in the cabin and tap the hoses into your trucks coolant hoses. This would give you "free" heat while you idle and it would keep the cabin warm while you drive too. Plus it would lower your need for other fuel sources
I dont think that would work, by the time the coolant gets to the little heater core inside the cabin the heat would have already been lost from the wind chill from the long hose being exposed to 100kmh winds.
@4dak88 It is maybe 15 feet each way, so the flow rate of the water pump will move the water quickly enough to prevent any major heat loss, pipe insulation is cheap and would protect from the wind. He already uses antifreeze so it would not freeze ever, plus this same setup is used already in limos and other stretch vehicles including some military vehicles and works great even in Alaska.

Its funny that I was sitting there thinking to myself ... "Where does this guy use the bathroom when he's in the middle of nowhere in -30 degrees F?" and not even 15 seconds later, he shows the toilet hidden in the floor lol.
Anyways, great videos man. Big fan of watching.
There are generators that you can use that sip fuel, Honda makes a quite gas one and there are many diesel options too. Love the channel.
Man, I agree. I definitely get ultra-sensitive about topping off my fuel tank in areas like that with limited fuel stations.
New subscriber. Really enjoying your channel. Takes me away from reality.
I respect you for knowing how to work on your truck👍
I never drive by Liard hot springs with out stopping!
We went there as a family pulling 6 snowmachines back from Utah. -20 and had the whole place to ourselves❤️ jumped in with our birthday suites, it was EPIC!
I'll be there😊Can't wait ✌️
Great episode! Reminded me of my two trips between Fort Nelson and Watson Lake I did for work. Liard springs are a treasure and should be on everyone’s bucket list. Cheers!
I feel like I'm the kind of guy who could not relax and take my time on the journey home... I would be skipping breakfast to hit the road ASAP haha. Maybe I need to enjoy life's journeys more 😂
the hot springs looks awesome
Hi Tim - I’ll be here as usual!! 🙅🏻♀️😘💘
Morning you!
My favourite stretches of highway in the world. Awesome content, Timmy! Love those hotsprings and the northern Rockies in BC.
Windchill does not affect mechanical things.
I haven't seen you in a while, so it was nice to see your face again. Alaska Timmy...my UA-cam friend! 😂😂😂
Tim, just so you know you have quite a few dead light sensors on one of your cameras. They really show up at night as they are like bright white spots in the dark.
Awesome video!
Good morning and be safe in your travels!
I love this channel so much, Timmy is cool as hell.
It’s awesome You do this with a 1996 Ford. In the past three years, I’ve taken my 1998 Dodge Cummins on three round trips from my home in WA state to Wisconsin, 2 round trips to New Mexico, and California. It has 313,000 miles in it.
Timmy , thanks for sharing another leg of your journey home , safe travels
I love your videos Timmy I been a fan for 2 years your content is great and makes me want to go out more and explore like this close by in the mountain ranges where I live!
