Motorcycle - Hazard Resulting in Slide-Out (Mushroom Garage - Rotherham)

- Going left from Rotherham Mushroom Roundabout at about 11 am on Monday 29 January.
I'm not sure if this could have been handled much better... yes, I could have avoided sliding out, but at what possible consequence?
Going 40mph when, what looked like an elderly woman at distance, steps out in front of me without looking. knowing the conditions were wet, and that i'd just gone through an oily puddle, I first tried braking slowly and gently, but as I got closer, I felt like I was going to hit the woman because my brakes werent responding like i expected, so I braked harder (panicked?), then the brakes snapped on suddenly (oily water burn off?), and resulted in the slide-out.
As you can see on the camera, as I'm sliding past the woman, she's still on the road.
If I'd have continued to brake softer, I might have either hit her or come very close.
The slide-out is a mix of my panicking, wet conditions, and a dumbass pedestrian walking out into 40mph traffic without looking.
Damages to the bike involved:
Handlebar well and truly bent
Throttle cable heavily damaged
Front brake handle needs replacing
Front brake oil reservoir minor surface damage
Fuel tank dented from handlebar
Exhaust Guard heavily damaged
About 80£ to fix most of that.
Damages to me:
One sore shoulder.
Pissed off demeanour.

My guy, what the fuck, why did you just grab a handful of front brake. You didn't even need to brake.
He could see the lady at 0:30, went off the throttle at 0:33 and panicked at 0:35 for no reason. he had a full 5 seconds to slow down but chose to do it the last 2 seconds smh
@@raybla No, you can barely see her at 30 seconds because the video quality isn't great, he would've noticed her before if he was paying attention and I'm so confused why he just grabbed a fist full of front brake.
I'm guessing he's only on a CBT.
@@Dan-hm1dx if you read the description you'd have read that I went through an oily puddle and my both breaks weren't responding as I expected and then they suddenly snapped on as the oil rubbed away. Fuck all I could do about that.
