Slim, you vlog is like reading a good book. You lay it down after a chapter and think, “I can’t wait to read the next one!”.
Luv your comment 😃
Jimmy Jenkins: Thats an excellent way of putting it.
Hello Slim, I just finished watching this video, and I enjoyed it very much! two things really connected with me, both of which were in regards to the segment on Terry Fox. I did a bit of research on him after watching the video, and found that he had the same thing that killed my oldest son, an osteosarcoma. Back in the late 70's amputation was the recommended treatment, as this kind of cancer is very aggressive. Our son's situation started in the early 2000's, and more therapeutic options were available, but in the end, the same thing happened - the cancer metastasized into his lungs and brain, and he passed away in 2012. I admire Terry's guts and concern for others, and the fact that he has made a difference for so many. That memorial is a fitting tribute to his courage and strength. The second thing that I thought was very cool was that you spoke with obvious pride about being a Canadian. It seems that too many nowadays complain about patriotism (or nationalism) and specifically how Americans seem to be the only country with citizens who are very open about their love for, and pride in, their country. Seeing and hearing you express your pride in being Canadian warmed my heart, and reminded me once again that every country has people we can admire and try to emulate. Drive safely, and thanks so much for sharing your travels with the rest of us.
I absolutely love being Canadian. If I could change history it would be that the Europeans would’ve worked with the FirstNations & between the very different cultures/traditions built an amazing place for all of us to live & grow together
Terry Fox is a legend and a Canadian hero. I live in the US 20 mi. from the border and we all know his story. Canadians are as proud of him as they are of their hockey players!
Graham Green wrote "Travels with My Aunt" while Slim is doing "Travels with my Plant"
Hahahaha
Cute!
Great to see a big smile on your face Slim.
gotta LOVE the open road
I'm currently watching you head east slim..you've been an interesting and calming constant during this crazy time.hope to see you in pei...we love your adventures slim.
So glad to see you in smiling, that hoya plant was amazing.
Love those plants. I got mine from my mom. The blooms are amazing.
As a BC'er, I'm extremely proud of Terry Fox. I always thought that the dome stadium in downtown Vancouver should have been named after Terry.
Love your videos. Keep 'em coming.
More cowbell !
When we sold the family home after mom passed, I found that I couldn’t part with all of my things either so I rented a Ubox and paid to have it shipped to my daughter’s rather than hauling a trailer behind my van across the USA. It was so worth it as I was free to stop and go off road all the way without the worry and the extra weight. Heirlooms can’t be replaced as some were 3 times older than your Hoya. Just got back here after a week of boondocking in the Ouachita National Forest of Arkansas and related to your battle with the mosquitoes and knats. Still the beauty of the surroundings left me in awe and appreciation of what this country has to offer.
Canada certainly is lush and beautiful. Thank you for showcasing this so vividly.
So glad your on the road again. Your photos are amazing
Fantastic way to start a morning! A new Slim video! THANKS!!
Slims' videos tend to give me a much better perspective for the day. It's nice to have such a relief as they tend to be.
I love my hoyas, I have been growing the same one for 30 some odd years... easy to grow and smells so good when it blooms.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop and meet me. I loved seeing your trailer and your mods, but mostly I loved meeting you. I so enjoyed our conversation. If you are coming back this way look me up!
Waterfalls, creeks and rivers are such soothing sounds for me. Great video.
Slim, your videos are like a moment of Zen, thanks.
we were lucky enough to see Terry running across Canada. My mom spotted him and screamed at dad to stop the car (we were camping, either coming or leaving Kenora, ON) and she ran down the road and took his pic. We still have the pic and what a great memory!
I hope all you guys in the northern hemisphere are keeping your cool 😎 in the heat. Best regards from Australia
The forcast today is a high of 40C. This is the hottest in recorded history in Edmonton, Ab. June 30 2021. Heat records are being broken all over Ab. BC. and SK. It is brutal.
Thanks! Watching Slim on a projector in the cool basement helps!
You guys know heat! Calgary only got up to about 35C today
I've been wandering about what happened to you My wife and I are used to a weekly update and have been missing you thought something might have happened to you glad to see you are safe and still having fun
What a joy to watch! I just had to cancel a trip of camping and kayaking due to the heat wave and this was great for my soul. Thanks Slim!
Thank you for taking me places that I can’t get to.
Yes! We used to use boat gear in the RV, too. Boat gear is usually made tougher because it gets used harder in wet, salty environments with constant movement.
@@DestimoniumTremens You do, indeed, get what you pay for in a lot of gear.
Thank you so much for the pictures and the views it was so much of hope and thank you God be safe love Bonnie Dozier calera al
Thanks you so much for taking us with you across Canada Slim. Enjoy the big lake.
Thank you for making me smile
I'm on UA-cam every day watching videos. I can not explain my excitement when your's pop up. No matter how many others I may have subscribed are there waiting? I always watch your's first. And when I get done with the others I come back and watch your's again.
I loved the nature video of rainbow falls campground. Thank You. I needed that
Thank You, as ever your video was lovely.
I really enjoy your channel and your skills of photography and craftsmanship! I have been bed bound for about 2 years because I am old (76) and I broke my leg and it didn’t heal properly. Also my bones are brittle and the Doctors could not do a hip replacement which is also screwed up! I enjoy your channel is because I am reminded of all of my old days of camping in popup tent trailer, van and small motor homes! So when I watch your videos I am there with you enjoying the beautiful outdoors! Canada is a very beautiful place and the people are just fantastic…well most of them …just like anywhere. Never a shortage of JERKS! So Slim KEEP ON TRUCKING and stay safe.
PS I do go outside every few days and ride in my power chair around my neighborhood which is in a beautifully wood area in East Tennessee and we live in the woods on a 5 acre homestead and the smallest lots are at least 11/4 ac. So it almost like I am camping everyday! GOD BLESS
Glad to hear you can still enjoy nature. Thanks! SP
Thank you Slim for the STELLAR production of your travels east! Great job!
Waking up with my morning coffee, you brought me lotsa smiles & happiness with your video! Loved the piano music in background with your shots of Nature, a perfect blend!

Happy Hump Day with a Slim Potatohead video
CHEERS from Colorado
Hi Slim! In 2005, just before an early retirement, my girlfriend & I traveled from where we live in the mountains of Virginia to the northeast coast of Nova Scotia. We stayed in a very small fishing village and made excursions from there. One of our favorites and most memorable was a day trip around the Cabot Trail loop on Cape Breton. Truly spectacular. I’ve been wondering if perhaps that is your eastern destination. Stay safe!
If Slim reads your reply, he may make it a destination.
I couldn’t fault him.
Mr. Slim, I wish you well!🥰. You’re always in my🙏🏼prayers! God Bless you and all your followers! Stay safe!
Slim is a Happy Camper !😎
Congrats for your vaccination! I'll get mine next saturday. Let's get rid of this plague!
We've been out camping fora month now, and have seen beautiful things, a lot of them that you have in your pictures. The stemless lady slipper, dragon hunter dragonfly, tall buttercup, and the bunch berries. Northern Minnesota, have a lot in common. Pretty nice. 😍 enjoyed your video very much.
Hi Slim, I really enjoy your videos. You always take me to a happy place in my spirit with your knowledge, voice, and calming manner. Be safe on your journey!…J. Mack
Great video, seems like a really nice trip so far! Be safe, be well slim!
I sound Canadian after binge viewing your videos😁 love'm!!
"EH"
Do you say "aboot" instead of "about?"
@@ScubaSteveCanada or hoose instead of house lol
@@daneboro6847 only Bob and Doug McKenzie use that expression.
@@karenneiman856 Been in Canada my whole life and have never heard anyone say "aboot" or "hoose" lol
I can see we all are in for quite and adventure with you Slim as you never disappoint. Happy and safe travels!
Great video Slim. I loved the shots of the flowers, plants, and insects. Thanks.
Love your channel slim potato!!!..you teach me something new every time❤️
Slim Potatohead-your like my vitamin C. You make my day better with your amazing creativity & awesome videography & wit & sense of humor. Thanks for being you & allowing us to be a part of your world 🙋💖
Thank you Slim for another one of your beautiful nature videos.
Good stuff Slim. Keep up the good work you bring mucho JOY to your viewers! The thumbs down folk must be clueless to what JOY is in life. Sad ..very sad.
Love the Hoya Plant! We have several. Sort of family heirlooms. Cuttings passed down from generation to generation just over 70 years, too. I gather that Hoyas are often "legacy" plants.
Good to see you again! Safe travels!
Cheers from Southwest Missouri. Safe and happy travels, Slim!
As always arm chair travels with you are always a adventure. Nice to see places north of the boarder I will probably never see except through your camera lens. Thanks Slim and as always" Enjoy The Adventure!!".
Love the Lady’s Slipper.
Thanks for your thoughtful videos - the planning for composition makes these very enjoyable. The Ontario Parks fees do feel expensive - my wife and I sort of felt this way as we rode our bicycles from St. John's NFLD to home in Victoria BC using a small tent to camp across the great expanse of Ontario. However we were more than happy to see that many of them had clean "Comfort Stations" with flush toilets, showers, and laundromats with electrical outlets where we could charge our devices including our needed GPS - this was more than welcome after averaging only 100km per day. We were also grateful for the predictable infrastructure that were so close together. We did stop at the Terry Fox memorial and it was very moving.
So peaceful thank you
As always, well shot and excellence in editing. Your vids are always a joy to watch.
Good for you for taking care of the plant!!!!
Absolutely stunning. Thanks Slim and happy travels.
Absolutely love the twisted tree at the Rainbow Falls campground.:) Thank you for taking us on your trip:)
Love that plant! I took cuttings from some of my aunt's mint when she passed. It survived for years, but could not survive the desert when we were in the RV.
Re the Thermacell, we use ours on the patio all the time (Florida). Put it on the ground and let the smoke rise around you. If there is a wind, it is not as effective.
Took the circle tour many years ago. Loved it!
Discovered your videos recently....love the way you delight in God's creation....the water, the land, the critters.....delightful video. Thank you.
Your channel is my number one pick, thanks
“Got a skipper” Indeed you do. You redefine ecstasy and illuminate the beauty of camping. I owe you a debt of gratitude as the recent owner of a Casita and participant of boondocking. Thank you, Sir Slim. May your adventurous journey bring you multitudes of pleasures.
So glad your on the road again , Cheers from Hacienda Heights, California
Hey Cali! I lived in Rowland Heights and Ontario many years ago.
Oh. I'm glad to see you. been wondering
You are a shining star Slim, shine on brightly. Peace be with you.
When you mentioned stopping at Kakabeka Falls it brought forgotten memories of visiting there many years ago when my children were young. We also stopped at the Terry fox monument. Thank you for sharing this video.
That’s a fabulous idea. Those look great he getting more clever by the day I enjoy the humor you add to the videos. Looks like this is going to be another great video really appreciate them.

Thank you for sharing the fire flys, I haven't seen them since...well too many years. Thank you and safe travels.

I Love Your videos!! I hope for you many safe travels.Thank You for the beautiful videos.
You never disappoint, Slim, when it comes to featuring the beauty of nature. Thank you!
Yay! Just got back from a trip into the coastal forest, saving this for later. Can’t wait to see Canada!

Lovely and serene. ❤
