  • The Shark Stratos I862H has a clever trick that we tested for the first time in a cordless vacuum.
    AMAZON: Shark Stratos hgeni.us/rqGwF
    We also tested the Odor Neutralizer technology. What really impressed us is the DuoClean dual brush roll. It seems like a gimmick, but in fact, it actually works very well, especially on carpets where some other cordless vacuums do not perform as well. The version we tested has the Multiflex wand which we found extremely useful for getting under beds. The 60 minutes of run time is competitive and Shark says the Stratos I862H has the most suction of any in its cordless lineup.

    Shark all the way, just purchased a NZ750uktco today, great vacuum cleaner, purchased from Costco UK, would not even look at a Dyson, most ones i see are at the Tip with seething owners who payed top money for them declaring they would never purchase a Dyson again, never seen one Shark there.

    You guys always crack me up when you crack each other up 😅. But seriously, please take my advice on the hair wrap. After you pick up the hair, let the rollers keep going for about 10-15 seconds, and the Stratos does get all the hair off the roller! It needs that extra rotation to finish processing the hair. I have the corded Stratos Stick Vacuum and the full upright Stratos, and this trick works on both to cut the hair wrapped and suck it into the dustbin. Stratos line is my absolute favorite ever.

    Have you ever tried the Shark Vertex Pro Powered Lift Away? Shark seems to be a good budget contender and the Stratos vs Vertex Pro Powered Lift Away are some of the best. It looks bigger so likely heavier but the weight distribution might make the feel better, so hard to say but there doesn't seem to be info on this anywhere
    Stratos seems like the safe pick but vertex pro powered lift away seems more innovative and versatile

    I love my shark stratos but it looks like you have to buy a whole new head ($90) to get a new shark fin roller. You can easily buy a soft brush roller replacement tho.

    How does this work on LVP flooring? I am hearing that many of these heads are not safe for the LVP.

    • @vacuumnerds
      @vacuumnerds  8 місяців тому

      I think it will depend on the quality of the flooring and how well it's installed. We have hardwood, so I don't have personal experience with vinyl flooring. It's got a fluffy roller in the front and a roller with rubber fins in the back. If a fin catches a badly installed edge, there could an issue, but again, I'm not speaking from experience.

    Yeah but unfortunatley having owned this machine for a week now the sensor inside the square wand pipe keeps getting blocked with cat fluff hence blocking the sensor and giving you full power all the time even when the floor is already clean. So this means the battery doesn't last as long as it should? The main problem is I think the silver metal clip attachment connection the wand.

    When looking for Shark vacuums, I find Shark IZ400DE Stratos and models with technically the same name but other letters in the end. So: IZ400EUT, IZ400EU, IZ400UK, IZ400UKT and I'm so confused. What in the world do these letters mean? I'd like to buy one of their products, but since they make it so incredibly difficult to understand all the differences. It seems on purpose at this point.

    • @vacuumnerds
      @vacuumnerds  4 місяці тому

      Vacuum companies can have different sub models for different sellers like Amazon or Walmart and give them specific codes. Also, models for different countries and also models with different accessory packages. Best thing is to research the description on the website you’re buying from and make sure it’s got the accessories you want.
