The speech is interpreted and read from A Thousand Sons, written by Graham McNeill.
Not only does Mortarion prophesise the fall of the Thousand Sons, but also the fall of his own legion, the Death Guard.

Mortarion arrived upon ishas prison.
"Whos-"
"Keep silent if you want my help xenos." Mortarion cut isha off. Isha nodded hesitantly but wisely.
"I know you seek egress from this wretched place. I know the means to free you. you can seperate chaos corruption from mortals yes? I help you escape,get me free." Mortarion spoke bluntly.
"...why now then?" Isha finaly spoke quietly.
"I am done being a slave. I am many things. A fool. A misguided zealot. A hypocrite. But i refuse to die...not until i finish what i started upon the terminus est 10 milenia ago. I cant get you out alone. But i know someone who can finish the job."
Isha nods. "Very well,mortarion. I hope you are right." Mortarion nodded.
"When He gets here,run. As fast as your godly form can carry." *And with that, mortarion vanished into the shade.
Emerging on the other side with the death guard still loyal to him,he raised the lantern in the air, looking directly in the distance the blazing sun that was the emporor.
"For your sake,you better make sure russ finds her...Father." mortarion said grimly. It was the 1st time in milenia refering the emporor in that manner. All he could do now really with his newly reborn form...is pray that this works.
The blazing star did not see the measly spark that was fired. But something else did. A body of starlight eyed the lanterns fire,and smiled.
"Hold my son. Your faith will be rewarded. I promise you this much."
And then...dusk fell. And the wolves hunted.

And it was done. Though it was arduous it was done.
Mortarion landed upon the world. And the shadow and starlight followed.
"What changed?" The being said. Mortarion looked at the ground. Then to his hand. Then to the creature.
"Because i have seen the true extent of tyranny. I was given the ultimate test of my will,and my desire to end my pain and that of my sons won out my integrity. I will never be forgiven for my sins. I know that for certain.
"Are you sure?"
"Have you seen what your empire has become,"father"? It is nothing but corruption and evil at its pinacle. Humanity isnt alive because of it. Its alive in spite of it." The star child nodded.
"You are right. But is that all you see?"
The being gestured to below,where the lion and dark angels were helping the blood angels and a handful of refugees. Mortarion watched surprised. He almost laughed.
"Huh. Well how about that. Pompous bastard grew a pair. It doesnt prove anything though."
"And that is where you are wrong. I do not deny my fauls mortarion. In fact if my younger self looked upon whats left of me,hed have killed himself to prevent it. But ive made peace with my daemons. I will rise from the golden throne. But that time is not now. What that looks like,i know not. However. Look at them my son. Where you see your brothers and cousins only assisting the mortals in the conflict i see there natures laid bare for all to see. The risen angels have forgiven each other and the lion has become the man i wish he could have been if circumstances were different. The blood angels for all there curses are men of nobility in a world devoid of it."
"They wont take me back." Mortarion said.
"Should that matter? It did not matter in the case of decimus and sevatarion. And fulgrim seems fine for the time being. Why should you be any different?"
Mortarion eyed them. "Perhaps. But i never felt at home in your tyrany. You said to me i was part of you. In what way?"
The star child eyed him.
"When i created you,you,curze and corax were to be the bulwark aganst the inperiums corruption. Corax would be the avenger. Curze would be the judge. You were to be the liberator and my red hand."
Mortarion thought about it.
"Then if thats the case...hm."
Mortarion continued overlooking the sunset as dusk came. The lion would then set his eyes on the pale king. He looked as he did in the crusade but without his usual armor. He looked...peaceful. serene even.
"....mortarion?" The lion whispered to himself confused.
The reborn reaper smiled. And as dusk left, mortarion vanished into the shadows.
"Brother? Is something wrong?" Fulgrim arrived,speaking nonchalantly.
"I thought i...hm. no. Nothings wrong. Is the way clear?"
"I flew around,we should be clear."
The 2 brothers left. In the shadows mortarion smiled.
"Fairwell my brothers. Im sorry. For everything. We will meet again under starlight."

I think he ignored way too many transgressions from Typhus and could have put his foot down earlier.
Bravo! Awesomely done, as always! I especially love how you made each intake of breath sound both desperate and painful. I'm glad that you're covering several points of view when it comes to the Council of Nikaea, as they each have very good points to make regarding psykers and the warp, both for and against them.

You know I hear a lot how good ol' Morty is a hypocrite as he ultimately turns into a plague sorcerer. during a heresy. But not only was he basically tricked and forced into joining, but normally the corruption of Nurgel tends to warp you so much that you really can't unjoin him without guarantee death, even if you are a primarch.
He only gave himself to nurgel to save his son's from unending agony.zdeathguard being resilient to most plague nurgels rot only made them inanely ill unable to die from it and he sacrificed himself and his son's to join to stop an eternity of pain so I don't blame him it's all typhus fault.I think he could be redeemed and conrad I think are the only 2 who had a chance to change.Morty even being a demon he still doesn't like it and he isn't even nurgels favorite typhus is his true champion
Whenever I think of Mortarion and how he would sound, I always come back to Urgot from League of Legends

The new AI design on Morty is fantastic. The only criticism I will give, is that theres no stink lines or green gas to represent his smelly personality. ;)
Thanks mate! Haha I tried some subtle green fumes in the video editor but the UA-cam compression seems to have somewhat dampened the effect.
