@@TalesOfTerraVA I don't think it was a source book. I believe it was in one or two of the novels. I do recall that Dorn was the subject. His normally stoic nature had been somewhat cracked by his fury and it was mentioned that the emotions of a primarch were as powerful as they themselves were.

As always, I'm happy to accept and act on constructive criticism about my voice acting and engage with those comments. However, I probably won't be engaging in any lore debates about Vulkan's "race", because I'm busy enough as it is! You can fight amongst yourselves 👊
Corax drifted into the endless black. His natural environment. Is it time? Before he could answer,a girl appeared in the dark. Shimmering in light. "...nat?" Corax said confused. "Im here. If only for a little while." "...so i have the emporors peace then." "Not yet corvus...im sorry. Please...wake up..." Nasturi drifted further away slowly. "No...nat,please dont go,dont go..." "Let go corvus. Please...wake up. Help them..." "NASTURI!" Corvus said in desperation as he snapped awake as if from a nightmare. The 2 primarchs looked worried as they saw corvus fully for the 1st time in ages. He looked unkempt. He looked like he hadnt slept in ages. Instead of his sable armor,he wore normal clothes. The lion broke the silence first. "Are you allright corvus?" Corvus nodded. "Ill live. Where am i?" "The ravenspire." Corvus was shocked. "Were on deliverance...?" "We are,yes. Whats the last thing you remember?" Corvus struggled aganst the night but nodded to roboute. "I remember...seeing you both,horrified. I heard lorgars screams of agony. I saw you trying to talk...then nothing." "I...what was that form? It was like you were possessed." "My true form. My soul incarnate. We are of the aethyr,under the veneer of humanity." Roboute was silent. "I...see. ...what happened to you?" "...i dont follow." "You never called any of us after terra,you literally went into the eye of terror,then became a psychotic stalking monster and literally gorged yourself upon lorgars unflesh. What in the throne happened to you? It was like you were killing yourself!" Guiliman said,half in fear,half in concern. "I dont care what happens to me. Whats done is done. My brothers arent killing themselves." "Corvus,no. You already stained your hands with a brothers death,you wish to do so again?" The lion said bewildered. "You wouldn't?" "Killing traitors is one thing. Killing our own is another thing. I fought angron once. Despite his rage,i saw what he wanted. And i swore to myself i would be better then i was on caliban. I walk into battle aganst my own knowing full well the concequences of fratricide,traitor or otherwise. When you do kill the traitors then what? Corvus you are going down a dark path,one that will lead you to a fate far worse then dammnation. Becoming what you hated most." "I. Am not curze." "Perhaps. But when you do snap. What hope will you have? So for once brother. Rest. And for another thing you need it." "I can-" corvus at last felt it. The exhaustionof 10 milenia worth of battle and strife. An aeon of nonstop hunting. At last,he stopped fighting. The raven lord finaly,for the 1st time since leaving deliverance,slept in his own home. His true home in the galaxy. Though war will come,for this one moment,the galaxy was a afterthought. To be continued...

I never knew Corvus came for Vulkan on Curze's ship that's cool. I'm guessing the escape fails and Vulkan is recaptured and tortured some more? You learn something new about 40k everyday
Ah that’s the thing… in reality, he didn’t! It’s an illusion/hallucination (can’t remember which) in Vulkan’s mind. I believe Curze had some kind of influence over it. Would highly recommend reading or listening to Vulkan Lives. Loads of cool stuff happens.
By the throne of Terra! I feel cheated! Finally we get the Ravenlord! And its not even 'really' him. Corax was NEVER aboard the Nightfall, he Escaped Issvan V after 90+ days off fighting/eluding the traitors.
Oh i got one, now its not a primarch encounter but one of Vulcans sons and another space marine. Tu´shan, current Chapter Master of the Salamanders vs Captain Vinyard of the Marines Melevolence after the latter´s company shelled a refugee camp that was being attacked by orks seeing the refugees as insignificant and not worthy of protecting which really ticked off Tu´shan.
Vulcan of the salamanders does not look like that. Each Primark has to Bear the resemblance their Gene father the emperor. I don't recall the emperor being an African dude from Zimbabwe , Kenya, or Nigeria. Picture corvax, bald. A little bit more larger frame. And with charred skin because he comes from a volcanic planet that turns all skins from that planet chard. Then give corax seemingly glowing red eyes. THAT'S what Vulcan should look. His skin turning charred like the inhabitants of the planet that he landed on is an outside influence of his bone structures of his face should bear some resemblance to the emperor. Not sure where you're getting the wide nose and big lips the purk out from. NOT THE EMPEROR thats for sure. ...NOTE: Corax spoke in his native tongue to his soldiers to a Vulcan did not understand because he doesn't know the language?. Vulcan is a Primark. He should be able to decipher the language in a superhuman level with coupling reading body language in the context of the overall situation and has come to a close approximation of what he's saying to his soldiers in a tactical rescue and escape through stealth type context. 😏
You're misunderstanding the lore, but I replied to you on my community post already so I won't get into it again I'm afraid! You raise a good point about the language part though. It's the only instance I've read where a primarch can't understand a human language at least to some degree. Perhaps it could be put down to the fact that this interaction between Vulkan and Corax never took place, and it was just an illusion in Vulkan's mind.
