    It's cool you're doing patterns on a frame loom, including twill and overshot. Everyone else's instructions seem to be for rigid heddle looms or four-shaft looms.
    You could probably make a book with all these patterns (and more) called something like "Textures and Patterns for the Frame Loom." That would be pretty unique. At least I've never seen a book like that!

    So much love for this! I’m going to use the graded arrows to make Christmas trees on the square ornament loom. I was struggling with making snowflakes work in that small space but I think a single arrow tree could be perfect!

    First, love the pattern and colors! Turned out beautiful. I have a suggestion for future videos. Sometimes you skip over explaining things because you've "explained them in another video," but for beginners or people who find this video first, it's confusing and a hassle to find the videos you're talking about. Please explain everything even if only briefly. I really appreciate that you explained how to loop the ends to fit the dowel because even though I've seen the video you referenced, I don't necessarily remember it. But when you skipped over how to loop the fringe onto the warp and skipped over the twining stitch at the end, I was hoping to get a refresher for how to do that since I'm a beginner!
    All that said, your channel is wonderful and inspiring! Looking forward to the next video!

      Glad you enjoyed the pattern! This is definitely more of an intermediate tutorial. Since we have a lot of weavers with varying skill levels, we like to have some tutorials that are all the basics, and some that are building on what we've already gone over. I always encourage new weavers to start with our beginner woven wall hanging series: ua-cam.com/video/e2cjwNjYeFY/v-deo.html And you can dive into the stitch library here: ua-cam.com/play/PLu7qd2uichKKem86c53FVKnFGByNtP8uC.html

    I'm wondering would I be able to create this same design with yarn on a rag rug loom instead of using straps of cloth....actually using yarn or twine ....

    How many warp strings 62 or 32?

    I like the look, but I don't think I'd do it with skinny yarn and have to use sssoooo many weft threads. Thanks for sharing!

      Totally, you do you! I prefer working with thicker yarn as well.

    I enjoy watching your tutorials. After watching the Arrow Overshot, I was unable to download the PDF. After several attempts, I came up with nothing. What now?

    Sorry one more thing. The tabby between the rows is it 1 string over under like at the beginning of the weaving or 2 strings

  • @deborahfreese8255
    @deborahfreese8255 4 роки тому

    Can I ask why you chose to do every string for tabby weave I get the 2 string for the arrow. Love your videos and I got some of your weaving needles love them. I just got the “River weaving “ done and am ready to get it off the loom so fun you encourage me to get them off the loom done not just weave a little learn a technique and move on. Thank you.

    • @spruceandlinen
      @spruceandlinen  4 роки тому +2

      I chose to do that since I was using warp string as the tabby which is quite thin. If I had used a thicker yarn for the tabby I would just gone over two under two.
