    Ha ha! We're in a whole new world now.
    I'm currently running 4 Avermedia capture cards made for gamers and a dedicated (powered) USB 3 card. The whole thing works well, was really the only solution available for my price range two years ago, but today, these cool new switchers are getting really good! I might 'switch' at some point.

    Awesome. I was wondering when someone would get around to handling network based cameras on one of these small switchers. That's a game changer.
    I wish it had audio features closer to the ATEM mini line. For love of (insert your preferred deity), can we get one of these switchers with a standard 1/4 inch, xlr, or even RCA inputs. Then we can connect a real mic or mixer using a better cable. These mini jacks just don't cut it for professional audio.
    As far as graphics, I've just about given up on the small switchers to handle that. I'm running the switcher to OBS most of the time or occasionally OBS to the switcher based on my needs that day. PNG and WEB-M videos are a must for graphic overlays and custom transitions. The makers of all of these switchers need to get on board with that too.
    Without proper graphics capabilities or NDI they don't really need an ethernet jack as we are using some 3rd party software to handle graphics and send out the production.
    That said the RGBlink mini+, because it handles Network and PTZ camers, almost takes my top slot for a video switcher. The multi-track recording functions of the ATEM mini ISO still gives it the edge in my book. This new RGBlink is a very close second.

    Another great video.
    This seems like a powerful device, but it does feel a bit clunky compared to other solutions.
    Looking forward to your audio sync delay tutorial video. That’s what has help me back from getting the ATEM Mini Pro.

    Hello, I bought an rgblink mini and i see some problems with the cut function. When i switch camera sometimes it is not sharp and has a flickering photogram in the beguinning. Is it common? Is it becauso of some my mistakes?

    Great colors in this video! I've been in touch with the RGBlink people (I mentioned you) and they seem great to work with. Looking forward to the sync video. At the moment I'm just using really cheap HDMI-cards and I've done some really long streams on my other channel where there's a bit of drifting going on, I wonder if that is because of OBS.

    • @GeekyNerdyTechy
      @GeekyNerdyTechy  3 роки тому

      All analog signals are ahead of the HDMI signals due to the processing in the HDMI feed. If the audio started in sync then it could CPU based if the computer is struggling to encode and stream etc. :)

      @@GeekyNerdyTechy Yeah, the only thing I couldn't try was restarting OBS/the computer, but it only happened at the last hour of a 5 hour 45 min stream, so it's quite okay for a laptop from 2017 haha!

    So I carefully looked at videos and images of the RGBlink and the Feelworld L1 and am pretty confident these are the exact same hardware units with different physical shells. The buttons and outer case look a little different but layout is identical as well as the menu system. Ports are in exactly the same places as well. Guessing some initial company created the base hardware & software and is licensing it out to whomever wants it. Looks like the software may be slightly tweaked between the 2 like logo support, chroma and some camera control. Still not sure I see the $200 price difference between the two. Am I way off base here?

    • @GeekyNerdyTechy
      @GeekyNerdyTechy  3 роки тому +1

      This is quite a lot different in regards to the functionality and control options. RGBlink seems to OEM their hardware out to other brands by the looks of it and they are technically similar but the software within on the Mini+ can do a lot more.

      The RGB Mini and Feelworld L1 are the same electronics in a different case. The RGB Link Mini+ adds unique features that Feelworld does not have.

    Does the RGBLink Mini+ have a way in powering it off without having to unplug? If there isn't a way, then is there at least a sleep function available? Also what is the flashing light coming out of the hdmi port even though when its unplugged? I find it amazing how its able to still have some power even while unplugged.

    Thanks so much for the review, really great work!
    I have the RGBlink Mini and it works great on all systems that I have tested it on, except on my Lenovo laptop (Yoga 730-15IWL - i7, GTX1050, 8GB ram) from last year, which is the system I need it to work on most. The video simply freezes after a few seconds or minutes, or stays black altogether. The audio keeps working though so it's no usb issue, I think. I have factory reset the laptop and have updated all system drivers to the latest using the Lenovo support pages. Both Lenovo and my supplier for the RGBlink mixer have no clue and the RGBlink support is not responsive. Do you have any idea what I could test? I tried all I could. Would hate to have to get a different video mixer or laptop.

      I received a tip from a Lenovo forum member that it might be an issue due to the fact that the device outputs H265. I think that H265 can be disabled using the XPOSE software (right?), but I was not able to connect to my device using a LAN connection, nor with the mobile app. Also updating the firmware was not succesful, way to confusing for a regular Joe. If you have some pro tips on this it would be more than welcome!

    Hi, I've been trying to find the best cheap video switcher for a few days now. My conclusions fell on the RGBLink mini Pro, the AVMATRIX HVS0402U and of course the ATEM Mini Pro... in your opinion which of these is the best? I would use it in conjunction with OBS and also for live events, thanks. Sorry my english i'm italian :)

    RGBLink does not support 25 frames (European standard). I received a reply from their support saying: "Set your cameras to 1080p23 (23.97) or 1080p24. 1080p25 is not a supported frame rate."

    • @GeekyNerdyTechy
      @GeekyNerdyTechy  3 роки тому

      I have the latest firmware on here so I thought I saw that it did all of the common frame rates. I'll double-check the specs.

      @@GeekyNerdyTechy I also updated the firmware but it didn't help. Another issue I have with it is that I can't set USB/HDMI output separately. When I change one of them e.g. to x25, the other one changes on its own to the same values. As a result I can't have different setting for output to vMix (pgm) and monitor (preview).

      Not really, it has four inputs with a scaler and can do transitions, both manually and automatically, logo insertion and DSK! I've not seen many A/B switches that do that.
