    An interesting, but little known, fact is that the iconic hump on the upper front of the Alamo was not there during the battle. The chapel was built with the customary southwestern adobe flat roof ( never completed ) but after Texas became a state in 1846, the U.S. Army added the hump so that the roof could be converted to the more typical sloped Anglo style and used the building for storage space.

    The biggest collector of Alamo artifacts in the world is none other than singer Phil Collins.

    I live in San Antonio Born and raised. Ive been in disbelief of the history and war made their. My great grandmother her Tepe her land as a child invaded and taken. 😢

    Victorian era? It's called the Gilded Age here in the USA. Victorian refers to Britain.
