I'm truly impressed by how effective it is for work. I particularly appreciate the last method for its interactivity. Thank you for sharing, and I look forward to more engaging content from this channel.
Very great examples with use cases on how to set up and apply Dynamic Zone Visibility in practice; definitely will return back to this video again for future quick reference. Thanks a lot for your time in preparing the video!
Great Video Ma'am, I keep on checking your videos to keep brushing my skills and understanding new concepts. Good Luck Ma'am. Keep guiding and making us learn !!
Hi Anshi, I watched your video on dynamic zone visibility, and I found it very helpful. I’m trying to extend the same logic to a new scenario. I have four parameters, and I’d like to make them dependent on one another. For example, when one parameter is changed, it should update the relevant values in the other three parameters, creating a cascading effect. Could you provide some guidance or direction on how to achieve this? My goal is to allow users to select from four parametric options, which would dynamically update the content accordingly, so the sheet swaps based on their selection. Looking forward to your thoughts
thanks the examples were great. I'm glad Tableau took a step towards better navigation but they really should work on integrating all the work you do to add icons as a built-in option. It's almost as if they have absolutely no concept of how people use their sofware
Hi Anshi, so for this implementation.for the right hand side container charts... i want their respective legends to also show up below them with the selection on pie is made. can you please advice
Hi Ayesha If I understand your question correctly you just want to move the legend below the pie- If yes then please add in a new container that is outside this show hide container and then you can add the legends in that same container how we are doing it on the top Thanks!!
Is it possible to swap between multiple charts. Ex: I have four metrics A,B,C,D and each of these have sub metrics, now the requirement is when I select A it has to show its sub metrics 1,2,3 (sheets) in one container and when I select B it has to give 5,6,7,8 sheets in same container and same with C and D. Is this possible to achieve mam?
Do you know how to make changing of chart types without a clipboard? I do not know to rely on a local Excel file based on which clipboard was created. Thank you for the answer!
Thank you, Anshi. I created a parameter & relevant calculations and am able to control the dynamic zone visibility. However, I want to be able to run this as a parameter action by clicking on the relevant BAN to show/hide the relevant sheet. I am unable to do so. Is there a way you can help me troubleshoot this?
@@techianshi Thank you for your quick response. I did watch the 2nd example and was able to replicate it at one place where I also created shape buttons. However, I am unable to replicate it for my KPI BANs. It seems because there is nothing to pick from for the source field when I create the parameter action. I sent you a request on linkedIn. Once you accept it, I can message you the screenshots. Greatly appreciate your help, Ansula.
@@techianshi thanks Anshi. Anyway we need parameters right for this dynamic zone visibility? I have 7 regions to select from dropdown which i have as a list in parameters.
A workaround that I can think of Vatika is, you can create a duplicate of the sheets and bring in total 6 sheets on the dashboard in 2 different containers that are regulated by a boolean value, you hide the 3 that you want to be defaulted when someone clicks on the chart, and use dynamic zone visibility boolean calculation for the entire container to show the 3 sheets by default otherwise
Naveen you can follow the 2nd example in this video, you have to do the same things instead of 3 swap sheets you will do for 8 instead, for this you will have to create a parameter with those 8 sheets name and then create calculations for each of them and use them in the Dynamic zone visibility layout to swap
@@techianshi Hi Anshi Thanks for the reply , I am using 2021.3 in that case I can not see Dynamic zone option do I need to follow old approach, but the sheets are not occupying entire space in a container if put all 8 sheets in a single container
Hey Naveen as if u are using anything before 2022.3 this feature is not available so u can’t use this rather u need to use the traditional sheet swapping.. you will need to hide all the headers and also from the format pane remove any inner/ outer padding and make it 0 otherwise the sheets will not fill up properly in the allotted space
seamless explanation by you anshi...
Wonderful clear explanation of this powerful feature! Thank you Anshi.
very Clear Explanation, Thank you,
OMG. Your explanations are awesome. Thank you for explaining me this in such an easy manner. God bless you.

You can use parameter actions to set values of a parameter based on the event this needs to trigger

Thanks for the feedback I think this is a great suggestion you can forward to #Datafam on Twitter tagging Tableau as well

Awesome, thanks for sharing.
Happy to hear that Gabronicabas that it was helpful 🙏
Great content..
Keep going..
If possible please do a video on how to improve the dashboard look and feel
Thanks Krishna will surely create a video on that soon, for meantime you can refer to this www.tableau.com/blog/7-tips-and-tricks-dashboard-experts
great.. however do we have an alternative for copy pasting values from excel to clipboard. that creates a new data source.
U can import it as Excel file or csv from data pane Aashi
great video!v.useful

@yoga_with_ana you can also use url to show images, if you provide the link to the images those will load on the go instead of clipboard images

Sure sounds good 👍
Hi Anshi, let me know whether this feature improves performance of dashboards
Yes this is definitely faster than using the parameters and then creating calculated fields over it
@@techianshi thanks Anshi. Anyway we need parameters right for this dynamic zone visibility? I have 7 regions to select from dropdown which i have as a list in parameters.
@@achusridhar1187 yes but here you need not create calculations over these parameter values
nice thankyou
Thanks Ali 🙏
Suppose if we need to show " All " in chart selection , how can we achieve By using Dynamic Zone Visibility .
Set the parameter to TRUE when all is selected then ALL will be displayed
I need an urgent help regarding pop up dashboard.. Please help
Hello Ma’am..How to revert back to all three charts in 3 rd example when i am not selecting any segment of pie?

But it has a bug.
If you are using this feature..extract schedule is failing in the tableau server.
Extract schedules will never fail due to any feature failures, it will only fail when there is a connection or data issue @santosh16081990
