Al, I know we are probably weeks behind (what we see today was done weeks ago), but wanted to remind you that you'll need multiple circuits for your freezers (large amp draw). A #12 wire 20 amp circuit should only be loaded to 80% (16 amps). If it was me I'd have each freezer on a dedicated circuit so if one trips you don't loose everything. Thanks for letting us follow alone!
LOL That's Funny because the only Kid they have is Olivia and she's not the least bit interested in what Al her Dad has built or accomplished there on Lumnahacres !
I think a nice lean-to style vehicle port with a gravel floor would be nice on one or both side of your bldg. Allows parking equipment out of the snow or even Allows working on vehicles outside during inclamate weather.

And I’m especially thankful for Mr Ken and Chad and Dan! For their awesome help on the building. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Blessings❤
Wonderful to hear your year checkup went good Gina. Work shop is coming right along, love to see all your progress, never knowing quite what's coming, love it.🙂❤
Al, if you are going to cover your wiring with spray foam then I think you should consider running it in conduit (25mm PVC will do) and also leaving a couple of runs of nylon string in the conduit in case you want to add sockets later.
You two are amazing to watch. And you work so well together. Reminds me of the time that my wife and I built a two story 36 X 50 gambrel roof barn together with an apartment on the top floor. She's gone now, lost her to cancer, but the memories are still with me. And good memories they are. You two are doing the same thing. Building memories as well are buildings. And you are doing a good job on both projects as well. Thanks for sharing those memories.....
Al, if you or putting chest freezers in the cold room I would suggest you put your plug-in boxes above the top of the freezers for easy access, if you have to unplug them for any reason , that way you don’t have to pull the freezers way from the wall to access the plug’s
I would have to agree that having your electric boxes for your chest freezers should be put so they are above the freezers. It will definitely make it easier to unplug a freezer with out having to move the freezers.
Yes, I have no idea why designers place ALL the outlets 6 inches above the floor, EXACTLY in the middle of the wall on ALL FOUR WALLS, so that your furniture has no option except to be placed in FRONT of the outlets, allowing absolutely NO access for any plug ins. This has been a pet peeve of mine for at least 35 years and I am an 84 year old grandma and don't want to be crawling around on the floor trying to find a place to plug in the vacuumn cleaner. JUST SAYIN' ... with much love and affection from Camarillo Grammy.
26:20 better option, don't add your jack stud until after you cut the floor plate out. Use a circular saw. The short side is 1.5" wide. Against the king stud it will remove exactly what you need removed. Then add the jack stud. Clean and efficient. If you think you need an outlet later, or want to move them around. Run single strand wire through conduit on the wall itself. You can add and move as needed.
You are well on the way to being ready for winter. So much accomplished since you bought the property. I notice you have learned many shortcuts that you share with the viewers. Kudos Al. Glad your medical visit turned out great Gina❤❤❤
Good morning, Al and Gina. What a difference a year makes. You have accomplished so much in a year. Gina, your health is much improved. Your smiles warm my heart.
Don't forget to re-enforce those two rear horizontal floor braces with the floor hangers. They seem undersized for the potential weight on the overhead storage area.
Hi Al and Gina. First off, the work shop looks great! I have enjoyed watching you work. Side note, in Ken’s recent video, he credited you Al with recommending the carbide saws all blades. Gina, I’m so glad for the positive report from your doctors. In the video, I noticed tints of purple. Gina, my wife’s hair goes from chestnut to auburn. She has the same purple glow in the sun. I love her natural color. You both look very healthy. Anyway, keep it up, GOD is good and you are inspiring me.
Al & Gina, before you go for the day I want to recognize you for your fearlessness. Just watching a person pulling a circuit box out of its container, seeing all of the access holes and not having the first idea what to do with the circuit box, nor the holes! It’s like that with all that you do. I truly admire you both so very much. You two represent what’s still left in the USA that’s keeping the good going.
Thank God that you are able to put your surgeries and illness behind you Gina. You'll be around to enjoy a long and very fulfilling life. Love you guys.
Hello from New Zealand. Al, you might need nogs (horizontal spacers) between all the front vertical struts in order to ensure the mezzanine floor you have made will withstand the weight/s you might store there without buckling (and also messing up your drywall cladding). It looks to me like one or two between each strut should do the trick. Suggest you also consider the load-bearing strength of the rear truss support across it's length. I apologize in advance if I am informing you of what you already know.
it was mentioned several time in the comments of the last video that Al should double up that rear 2x member and install some jack studs, then add blocking to the joists.
Great job on your apron, practice makes perfect. I've been watching for a couple of years and you have definitely progressed on our Tracktor skills. I really enjoy your channel you guys do a great job with it. I'm in the middle of building a shop myself but unfortunately mine is only a 20x24 that's the largest I could go. Sure rains a bunch up there, I'm in California so not much rain to speak of here. Enjoy life guys I sure am.
Love your Channel been watching it for years .I have a couple suggestions for you. All Milwaukee drills , when you tighten up the chuck all the way turn it back one click and your drill bits will never loosen up. You should have put house wrap on your garage before putting a metal panels up. Putting spray foam on your garage for insulation it's great . But if the panels get damaged you will not be able to get the metal panels off. so make sure you put something between the metal panels and the spray foam for the future if it gets damaged. keep up the great work.
Enjoy watching your channel Al and Gina! What a tremendous build that you guys and Ken's team did. We are from Maine and I enjoyed seeing your video about Scott's Recreation. They are right down the road from us. Enjoy hearing your testimony about the Lord and his working with Gina's health. We serve an awesome God!! God Bless you guys!!
Good morning, Lumnah family! The shop is really coming along nicely. Gina, I'm so glad to hear that you had a good check-up! God is great! Stay safe everyone!
I thank God along with you for your great health report! I can't believe it's been a year! The workshop is so nice and I am so proud of you two for all you have accomplished. 💪💖😸🐕🦺💞🤸♂
The gravel will pay back immensely come winter time, no more slop and mud to be blown..lol 😂 The workshop is coming along nicely, everything. Looks top notch! Love ya'll ❤
Use cement board in the battery / electrical room for fire resistance. Also place some large fire extinguisher around ASAP… will need a few types, one for liquid fires, one for electrical fires and one for wood paper etc.
Good morning Damogran Heart! Have a wonderful time at the Ren Feast! I used to go but not for the last few years. I didn't go to the state fair this year either. Huzzah!

So glad, Gina, so glad. Know the feeling, wife just had 2nd MRI post cancer, all clear. Just the greatest feeling, after. Before is a little nervous, but after, sweet. God bless!
Hello Al, Gina, and all the beautiful people who follow Lumnah Acres OGP, from David in Omaha, NE. I love your workshop Al. It went up so fast! The second story storage area is a great idea. Is Gina's garden still producing? Nothing like having fresh garden produce! I hope everyone is in good health and enjoying these great videos. Thanks Al for sending me some of your cooler weather. lol It's 53* here in Omaha. LOVE IT!
Al: FYI, on your "two gang" (double outlet) boxes, It's a bit more "pricey" but you're better off using deep 4" square boxes with "two gang" plaster rings than those "two gang" boxes. The plaster ring installation trims out much better and is much more stable. The modern panels are considerably bigger than they used to be (much more wiring space). I usually install them at 66" to 72" to the top. Two or three "casablanca" fans would be good in your shop too.
Al , I had noticed that you had several sheets of the Metal Roofing Panels left over and I hope that you saved them for other projects or repairs if needed !
Al, I would take out your tractor and carve out a path so all that water doesn't pool in front of the work shed and make it easier for the construction of the barn. I'm sure you've already thought of this. I'm glad Gina is feeling good and looking so healthy!! Your friend from Utah
Good Thursday afternoon New Ham🐖Shire .... I have to say it..... I miss your herd/tribe of goats🐐🐐🐐🐐The shop is coming along nicely👍🏻Have a great day and weekend AL, Gina & Olivia🚜✏📐🔨🪚✌🏻
Morning Al and Gina, So happy for your good news on your yearly check up. The apron looks so good in front of the garage doors. You both always do the neatest job working on projects. Take care and will see you in a couple of days.
MY FAVORITE NH OFF GRID UA-cam FAMILY! Good morning AL, Gina, Olivia and subscriber Friends ! My prayer 🙏🏼 is that everyone has a safe and Blessed Day and Weekend Ahead! 😁👍🏼
Good news on Gina. Looking good all around with the gravel apron and the setting out all the electrical boxes with the wire runs. The Arc Fault Electrical Panel is now the only way to go. Labour intensive but it has to be done before the foam spray. It's going to be a really nice building.
Milwaukee drill bits made a difference for me. I was drilling into 50 year old precast concrete. I used a water setup to help my hammer drill. It drilled like Al said "like butter". I realize that there is a difference between drills. (I was drilling 3/8" holes.) Thank you for sharing building your workshop.
Like how Gina helped to make it “more better”. Wives are good at that sort of thing. Wish you could send us some of your rain. The compactor has been a good investment. By the way keep the red door. You need to paint the trim before winter starts. Hope you get the garage doors installed soon. Looking good. Waiting with anticipation to see installation of the garage doors and the solar power system. Good to hear Gina’s health is doing well.
Al, Love everything about your shop design. We have a 40x60 Mueller building on a slab in south Texas. I wish I had planned it better before starting construction. You are so good at that. I noticed that your tractor is making a lot of strange noise when you were moving the crusher run. Is that normal for the TYM or could it be the steering pump or hydraulic pump?
Gooood morning All, Gina, Olivia, and Lumnah Acres friends!🌄😁 beautiful morning there, and here! Can feel fall in the air🍁🍂 Love it😊. that's fantastic on the good report from the doctor! PTL!
After Al finishes the gravel dumping and making the compacted slope in the front of the building he should dump the rest of the gravel pile on those low spots out in front where the rain water had puddle ! In fact that whole area out in front of the shop building needs gravel to cover all that dirt so it wouldn't be muddy after a heavy rainfall !
Good morning Lumnah family from cooled down Minnesota! Good morning viewers. Making your ramp with gravel. That plate compactor sure has come in handy. That TYM sure has come in handy too! Nice job building the apron to the workshop. So glad your check-up was good Gina! God is good! Wow, masonry bit all blackened. I'm glad the new bit worked so well. Now your walls are anchored. That must feel good. I like that trick you did with the blade Al. Nice clean cut for the doors. Nice idea with the exhaust fan in the freezer area. Getting started on the wiring. That's cool to see. That's great that the circuit breaker box can fit between the studs. Putting the double outlet boxes up high is a handy idea for the workbench area. Sounds great that your solar stuff is coming soon. Thanks for this video Lumnah family!
Good morning, Lumnahs! Love watching the progress you make on your property, but love hearing about Gina's health progress even more☺🙏. Thanks so much for sharing your life's adventures with us all. God bless.

Thanks CC and I hope you have a great day as well!
Congrats Gina on your clean report for the 1 year checkup.

God is good! So happy to hear Gina is doing awesome!
Remember to check the amp draw from your fridges and that they don’t exceed the capacity of the circuit. Good ol’ NEC is there for a reason.
So happy for you Gina. Hope you have continued good health for you and your family. Love you all.
Oh, those red doors look so so good I hope they remain that way❤
God IS good all the time!
It is moving really fast! So excited for you! Thank you for sharing!
So happy for the clean bill of health Gina, happy for Al & Olivia also.
Al, Love everything about your shop design. We have a 40x60
Mueller building on a slab in south Texas.
PTL!
There’s my buddy Gump !!! How are ya my friend? U must’ve slept in this morning 😂! Good to see ya, hope U have a blessed day ! 😁👍🏼
Thumbs up 👍 for bringing us along. Also thanks for the Friday meetups on “Homestead Shop Talk Podcast” it’s a great way of getting updates.
I hate having to wait ✋️ every other day for a new video 😊lol thanks for another great 👍 video 📹
Happy news, Gina! Thanks for sharing!
...."God is good".... Amen to that !
A little hack for the door plates is to cut the bottom 1/3 way up before installing.
Good morning, Lumnahs! Love watching the progress you make on your property, but love hearing about Gina's health progress even more☺🙏. Thanks so much for sharing your life's adventures with us all. God bless.
Never seen that trick with the saw blade. Thanks now I can add it to my bag of tricks. Thanks.
