same thing but a mountain goat. we put the mountain goat in our packs, and put it up a tree 80 feet away. we had granola bars, i ate too many, but better than nothing. we had a trickle of a creek, and some home made juice my buddy's wife made, it was rhubarb and wild blue berry. i mixed it with the creek water, it was sure good. i was underdressed for a frosty mountain overnighter. the fire escapade was as you describe. I got a bit of hypothermia but the fire helped. Im glad I went because now im crippled up, not likely going mountain goat hunting. mtn goat meat is very good. better than mule deer i think. we had something circling camp, part of the night. no idea what.
Thank you for the lovely story sir
This is a good story within another story!
I understand keeping things simple, but I wont go in the woods without at least 2 flashlights and spare batteries!
Great story!
We need this desperately this is awsome stuff hearing the history and life experiences. I miss my papa :(
Great stories 👍 I'm Mexican American and my grandma always use to tell stories about the little people in the forest.
Shot my largest Blacktail buck ever up behind the Ferry terminal in Sitka, around 1988...
You remind me of My grandfather use to tell me story about him Long time ago when he was younger.... very interesting
Good story.
Every time I see or hear anything about being unable to quench thirst, I get a crazy urge for a lot of water.
Awesome story!
