This series is very very importan, consumers need to know what they are buying! Very good work! I'd love to See the 700v3 cut in half, because it has such a quirky construction
Same with balenciaga tracks and or lv trainers by virgil and collab Nike sneakers like a off white dunk Vs a regular dunk same with the air Jordan 1s like a real off white air Jordan 1 vs a high grade replica off white air Jordan 1 … so many myths in sneakers lol
I appreciate your sneaker tear down vids! I really want to know the leather quality of most shoes I put my money on so I'm happy you're doing sneakers too!
Your take on these being a meta dad shoe is is 100% how I feel about them. They've always appealed to me in a weird way and I came pretty close to getting a pair but I just don't think it'd work with my overall style at all. But there's just something about the design here that I absolutely love.
In terms of the boost being softer or firmer, Adidas is known for producing mid soles at different densities for different applications. It just depends on how many of the pellets get compressed into the mold before they’re melted together. if you compare models of the Ultraboost from the last several years for example you’ll generally see the midsole get denser in the newer shoes. Just depends on how they want to balance durability against impact protection. This is pretty common with athletic shoes in general. Just because two different sneakers advertise the same foam doesn’t mean it’s going to perform the same in both. One might have been injection molded and the other compression molded. Another might have been injection molded but with more pressure and material leading to better durability and a firmer, more responsive feel.
They reel you in with the ultra boost 1.0 . i always thought the difference in squish has to do with how the boost is or isn't wrapped or encapsulated to the midsole and upper. Like how the ultra boost can expand laterally way more than the boost in a 350 or 700 since the boost isn't all caged up. But what you said makes total sense and is probably what is going on.
@@punkfloyd Right. some models do have the encapsulated midsole like with the Yeezys, and those do tend to have a more dense rubbery feel. Adidas did this with a lot of the first basketball shoes with boost to make it more laterally stable. With the 350v2 they feel so soft for 3 reasons in my opinion: huge amount of boost, the density of the boost (what I was saying above), and the flexibility of the rubber enclosing it (basically the enclosure is soft enough it doesn’t impede the foam’s ability to expand). The 700s have less boost, and the EVA midsole has less give than the thin rubber side walls on the 350. According to his test it’s denser too, but the construction of the shoe has more to do with it feeling firm I think. Basically it’s some of both. There’s a lot of things that sneaker companies can do to manipulate the way a midsole feels and performs.
im wondering.. why would they not have boost under the toes? isnt that the most important place to have boost on? we push and jump from our toes and balls of feet
SOOO GOOD! Love that youre breaking down the hype of the yeezys to the actual core which is what actually matters. Could you do reebok pumps one day?? their my fave sneakers and theyve done a boost version that are SO crazy soft. Def check em out plz and keep up the GREAT work!! 💗

That’s funny, I always heard that 700’s have the most boost of any yeezy (before the 380’s came out) but I always felt that 350s were softer. Looking forward to more yepril vids.
I've been wearing my wave runners for about 3 years now, the fact that it has boost stopping underneath your toes makes no difference tbh, they're still crazy comfortable
Same, i don't like 350 v2s with that OA toe drop, caged and pointed toe part which chokes your toes as they slide towards the front, sizing up doesnt help the slide. Got 4 700s, they're the best yeezys but should be worth 200usd imo
These are great videos. I own a pair of 350s and 700s, and while I agree that they are a bit overvalued on retail, I love the Ultraboost material and the design enough to justify the premium cost. Walking in the 350s feels like wearing a pair of socks while walking on clouds, especially after wearing boots during the work week. I appreciate the teardowns as I've always been curious on what's inside. The 700s are noticeably less soft than the 350s, and now I know why
Yeah, the Yeezys arent just about hype, there genuine appreciation for design and art here. It could be higher tier fashion if it werent for the materials but, at the same time, it would be stupid expensive it that were the case

I’m honestly most interested in 700v3s. People say they’re made super cheap and while I sorta agree, I can’t not love the styling of them. I’d like to see how much they downgraded internally to reach a $200 pricepoint instead of $300

This is the video I’ve been waiting for!!! I can’t believe you’ve done it hahha. Since falling in love with the 700 much after it’s release but getting it on a restock I was intrigued to find out about the quality of the shoe because of its high retail price. I guess now I know. Thank you so much! Absolutely loving Yepril keep the heat coming 🔥🔥🔥
I used to really want wave runners when they originally released, but the amount they charge for these is way too much for something that isn't that much better constructed (if at all) than something like a NB 900 series shoe.
realistically though, there’s a limit to how good a shoe needs to be material wise. you’re rarely gonna keep a shoe long enough to where having so many layers of support for every layer matters. these yeezys won’t break on you unless you’re doing construction in them. the price is for the hype and the name
been a subscriber for a while and im really loving these hype sneaker series, consumers should really know if these hype sneakers are really worth paying for, esp if paid resell, could you do the yeezy 500 as well? it's also a part of yeezy's dad shoe trend and they use a different midsole technology called "adiprene" and im just curious to see what they look like/made of, and for me they're comfier than boost, thanks man! great work as always
I didn't know you were the woodland fire fighter. The fire season in BC is wild. Last year was scary with the flooding. It's incredibly tough work and I have so much respect for anyone who goes into that field. Thanks for being a hero.
Loving Yepril, so glad you did the 700s! I guess quality-wise it’s about what I expected, but I still love the shoe for its unique styling. Fun fact: They dropped the retail price on 700s to $240 last year, which is still expensive but much more fair. You’ll notice that rereleases of classic colorways like the original Wave Runner are still priced at $300, though.
You should do something like an SB Dunk, maybe something like the What the Paul’s because they have so many crazy materials on em. Or really an SB Dunk. Would be cool to see!
Do the Gucci Ace original sneaker next. You clearly have the money and lots of people would love to know more, you’d be the first person ever to cut them open. I adore mine but I want a professional opinion. They feel much more substantial than my common projects. Just by weight and feel of leather.
Just letting you know he will probably never do that he explained before that hes a shoe maker an fakes give the real thing a bad reputation or something like that but go watch some of his early videos an you will him talking about it
been diggin yepril so far! thanks for making these videos. as for the desert boots I heard that heel portion is so exaggerated sometimes people feel like they're leaning into the front of the boot. No pressure getting to it but would be nice to get your opinion of that on-foot. Either way look forward to checking out what else you put out, take care!
Crazy that heal lean must be why most people size up at least 1 full size, I went 1.5 size up and I'm glad I did otherwise those would be so uncomfortable on the back of your leg not to mention your toes 😭 they are a different boot for sure but after wearing them for a few days they seem to be made to be worn upsized and laces at least semi loose as the construction and fit keep it on your foot nice without relying too much on lace tension. Overall I'd say I like the soft suede and the 3m stripe but just very average in quality.
7:23 a cool little detail is how you see the glue bubbling through the stitching holes before the suede even catches fire, it really emphasizes how strong leather is over synthetic materials
Comparing the boost on the 350 vs these is crazy! You should do some ultraboosts and compare those too. The ultraboost 22/21 at least appear to have A TON of boost while the earlier models like the 20/19s seem to have less. I'd love to see what some of those look like compared to these 350s and 700s
Funny how you were comparing this to a dad shoe (like the NB 990v5)... as the designer of the Yezzy 700 (Steven Smith) used to work for New Balance back in the day. He is on record saying that when he got the chance to design the 700s he wanted to make something that would reflect what he would be doing if he was still at NB.
Such a great shoe. I’ve got pairs I’ve worn daily for 4+ years now and they still have plenty of life left in them. Yes they are pricy but they seem to outlast anything else I’ve had
i actually really like this shoe. I got the Inertias for resale, and bought the WaveRunners today. They’re really comfortable, and although there are better options for better prices of this style, Adidas knew who they were selling them to.
Great video. On the desert boots (and all cemented shoes) look at how easily the soles separate from the uppers. It seems that sole separation is one of the biggest issues with most modern shoes.
Awesome. Just awhile ago i recalled asking about the 700 dissection. Glad you did one! Now how about the New Balance 550 ? (It would be noted that there are several iterations of the 550 so quality will get varied.)
Very cool video! I enjoyed learning more about the materials in this one compared to the other 350 and new balance. For the desert boot can you take a look at the back internal heel? I’m concerned about how it’s constructed and how it tapers in creating less room in the shoe and potentially rubbing on the back heel of the foot.
I work as an authenticator at a major online sneaker reseller and I have been showing these recent videos to all my buddys at work. Loved your stuff and they are starting to also. These honest sneaker videos have answered so many questions for us. I am totally asking you to consider doing the newer generation Nike special field boots and possibly the Nike air zoom alphafly next%? I have recently started wearing both and they are extremely comfy and I want to figure out what’s good with them. Cheers
For the DSRT BT I wonder how durable the outsole is since it's just a cemented construction. I think it wouldn't stick on that long since it's more of a fashion boot than a work boot.
I love these videos. The best shoe videos on UA-cam. I would love it if you start dissecting shoes from luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Would love to see how their sneakers fare against the CPs and Crown Northamptons.
I’ve always been curious why 700’s are so much more comfortable for me than my 350 v2’s. The 350 is a super comfortable shoe, but seeing the 700 having a firmer boost makes so much sense why I prefer them over the 350. Thank you for doing this video. 🙏🏾
Great video! Could you look further into the sizing of the desert boot and whether the construction affects the fit? People usually need to go at least one size larger in the desert boot compared to other Yeezys, and I wonder whether that results from YZY using a different mold, the shoe construction, or both
Could you do a series where you open different new balances? Also, great job incorporating the Saybrook pillow. Was about to click off the video but it almost looked like part of the video due to how natural you incorporated it with your videos. Will check out the pillow!
Your videos are getting better and better. Never knew 350's were comfier than 700's. Hope in the near future Nab can sponsor you to cut open some 574, 577, 991, 992, 990v4 and 990v5's.
No boost on the front of the shoe I think is actually a good design choice since I like to wiggle my toes a lot and having boost in that area would just restrict the wiggle room that my toes would have.
Even though they got less boost, they are still super comfortable, maybe even more than the 350s. So that can explain why people (myself included) thought there was more boost in there. Still very cool and useful video, I hope you cut in half the 700 V3 cause they are basically a completely different shoe.
This was so satisfying to watch, definitely confirming that the Yeezy retailprices are a hype, not to speak of resell "value". Glad to see that the 700's have a OK-ish quality material wise
something about the 700 is just so comfortable, especially the V2. the shape + the boost is just perfection. So to me the price is justified but I can see why it wouldn't be for everyone.
When I was a kid we used to hate gaudy shoes like these. They were always cheap discount store no name shoes. So to this day when I see shoes like these, I think cheap and tacky. And looking at all the synthetic and ultra thin leather, to my mind these are cheap no name shoes just with a jacked up price to take people for suckers.
I love this guy exposing the clowns who think a lot of these hyped shoes are “high quality”. My favorite video is by far the SBB AJ1s. A lot of people were triggered.
I've always felt like your buying the name. And people are quick to say they are made with better materials. And now we see the extant of "better materials" put into big name brands. Love these videos
I'd really like to see you take down one of the Jordan 1 "High 85" colorways. They're supposed to be a version of the Jordan 1 that is true to how they were originally manufactured in 1985. Supposedly they use full grain leather in the construction, and their retail price point shows it ($200 MSRP vs the usual $170 MSRP for a Jordan 1). I'd be curious to find out if it's true. The edges of the leather do look like they have a grain pattern to me, but I also have no idea what I'm doing.
That is super dope that the mesh is an almost one piece construction underneath! Did not even think about that being an option texts are known for the minimal paneling, that is actually cool ash!!
Its better than the 350s but bruh id rather get Gucci aces for $700-800. Full grain thick calfskin, reputable brand with tasteful branding stripes, hand made in italy, better than margom sole, nail lasted. If not that then common projects for $400. Both will outlast 4 pairs of any yeezy. Mine are both 3yrs old and look new. Yeezys are just hyped up chinese hunks of plastic made to go on your feet.
I love this Yeezy series! You should try the ASICS gel lyte iii’s. They are super and comfy and a great price. I’d be interested to see how the shoes look on the inside. They also have some ~real~ leather versions and I’d be curious to see your thoughts on the quality.
This channel is amazing. You should compare an authentic jordan 1 with a UA for the people that same it’s the same quality. UA’s can’t possibly have all of the same technology in the midsoles as original pairs
Awesome video! Love seeing the inside of sneakers. The price here is more related to branding than to product quality. Of course material quality is super important and helps to give that premim pricing, but when we talk about Yeezys, its more on branding, Ye himself, etc. But still amazing videos!
Desert boots: What is the water resistance? Does it get damaged by long exposure to dry air and direct sunlight? Will sand and dirt get into the boot easily?
Like many others, i have 350 V2s and 700 V1 and V2s, and these 700 V1s are the most comfortable sneakers ive ever owned. I have to full size up from my normal 13 in Nike to a 14 in Yeezys. I find these 700s way more comfy than the 350s, even with the fact that the boost sole is a tad stiffer than the 350.
Personally I'm not a fan of subscribing on YT, but you did and are doing such a great job in these vids. And made it so much more interesting than just cutting open a shoe, that I for sure hit the "like, button, and bell" and gave you an ig follow. Keep up the good work.

i actually really like this shoe.
I got a wallet for your scratch and dent sale and there were no scratches or dents and it's the nicest wallet I've ever had.
Thank you
Awesome. Just awhile ago i recalled asking about the 700 dissection. Glad you did one! Now how about the New Balance 550 ? (It would be noted that there are several iterations of the 550 so quality will get varied.)
Glad to see an "expert' do this kind of content. Dope vid bro! Keep creating!
I feel you. 700v1 all day over 350v2 and even the 700v2 if I'm being honest- 700v1 are more supportive since it uses less mesh/primeknit I think.
Totally agree as well. For being on your feet and moving around most of the day i noticed these maintained their comfortability throughout the day
What do you do with the shoe you don't cut?
300 bucks? And here I thought the Redwing in the last video were priced rather steeply ...
6:43 EXACTLY what I think when you burn everything 😂
Great video! Could you look further into the sizing of the desert boot and whether the construction affects the fit? People usually need to go at least one size larger in the desert boot compared to other Yeezys, and I wonder whether that results from YZY using a different mold, the shoe construction, or both
I heard a full size and a half
Could you do a series where you open different new balances?
Also, great job incorporating the Saybrook pillow. Was about to click off the video but it almost looked like part of the video due to how natural you incorporated it with your videos. Will check out the pillow!
I think people think the 700 is comfier due to it actually being firmer. cause too much boost is all squish no support.
Definitely love seeing you see if hype sneakers oh actually functional thank you for your work from🇦🇺👍
Even though they got less boost, they are still super comfortable, maybe even more than the 350s.
Seriously love the sneaker videos, love your boot videos too but as a bit of a sneakerhead, I have a soft spot for these
Hope you plan on doing the 500’s this month. They are allegedly the best balance of price vs quality in the context of Yeezys.
It’s great to see these, you should defo do the New Balance 550s to see the quality. Some of the ALD collab they did are reselling for $400
When I was a kid we used to hate gaudy shoes like these. They were always cheap discount store no name shoes. So to this day when I see shoes like these, I think cheap and tacky. And looking at all the synthetic and ultra thin leather, to my mind these are cheap no name shoes just with a jacked up price to take people for suckers.
That's literally what they are. Overpriced assembly line garbage made to cash in on an overhyped stupid name.
Just by Knicks off there just the same for 60 bucks
Lol but you’re old and you have no style
@@Retarded_Cat and thank fuck for that!
@@graemegourley7616 I guess..?
6:42 "I'm probably gonna get cancer one day from all these fumes, soo subscribe, help me..." lmao!
The more I see you cut apart ugly expensive sneakers the more I appreciate a decent quality work boot.
Please do Yeezy 500s
I love this guy exposing the clowns who think a lot of these hyped shoes are “high quality”. My favorite video is by far the SBB AJ1s. A lot of people were triggered.
Question for desert boots:
Will they get full of sand in the desert? Will sand come in through the mesh?
Why is everyone so willing to buy expensive Kanye West athletic shoes anyway? He’s a singer. To me this is so weird.
Keep it up, no one else makes videos that go in depth as yours!
Those are some seriously ugly shoes. 😐 But yeah, do what you gotta do and hopefully someone will listen.
This is a surprisingly good video for the views and likes you get.
Keep it up man, real nice work!
I´m so hyped for the desert boots. I always wonder how the boot looks from the inside and cut apart.
I've always felt like your buying the name. And people are quick to say they are made with better materials. And now we see the extant of "better materials" put into big name brands. Love these videos
I enjoy these videos. It's cool to learn about material quality. And the sweet close ups are nice
Love the way you just jump into the vid...I hate looooong intros...Toast is so Dope BTW 💯❤ You should have a Mill Subs defo!
Nice. My question would be, once you have worked your magic; How do you class the DSRT boot? Sneaker or Boot?
I love the double irony of these shoes too! These are the only “dad” shoes I would wear
I love this Yeezy series! You should try the ASICS gel lyte iii’s. They are super and comfy and a great price. I’d be interested to see how the shoes look on the inside. They also have some ~real~ leather versions and I’d be curious to see your thoughts on the quality.
I love that your cat is a showpiece in a lot of your videos haha. But he sure does seem disinterested, especially in this video
This channel is amazing. You should compare an authentic jordan 1 with a UA for the people that same it’s the same quality. UA’s can’t possibly have all of the same technology in the midsoles as original pairs
Thanks! Funny that you’ve done both the Yeezy 350 and 700 that I asked for in the comments of a previous vid!
Awesome video! Love seeing the inside of sneakers. The price here is more related to branding than to product quality. Of course material quality is super important and helps to give that premim pricing, but when we talk about Yeezys, its more on branding, Ye himself, etc. But still amazing videos!
The green screen and the edit are on point, it makes watching you more entertaning XD
This man is awesome!!! Can’t wait for another YEEZY
CAN YOU DO THE BALENCIAGA SPEED TRAINERS???
Desert boots:
What is the water resistance?
Does it get damaged by long exposure to dry air and direct sunlight?
Will sand and dirt get into the boot easily?
Love these videos. Really insightful. Would be interested in seeing some adidas Y3 models or nike react
The most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.
New subscriber here love what you are doing man! Excellent work
