Flak jackets weren’t meant to stop direct gunshots, they were meant to catch shrapnel from anti-airguns, and eventually GIs started wearing them to at least protect their vitals from airburst mortars and fragmentation grenades. Overall they were pretty good at that. BN is still a very tough puncture resistant material. Great video, love your channel man.

You should do a review of some non-Adidas Yeezy boots. These 950s are manufactured by Adidas, but Ye released several iterations of military boots separate from Adidas with his lines of Yeezy Season clothing. I have a pair from Season 3 and they're one of the best shoes I've ever worn. Much higher quality of materials
In good boots,the long tongue has no places for water to get in. They are just a solid piece of leather connected to the inside of the boot on the sides with folds which keep it where it needs to be. Cheap boots just have a tongue attached at the front and not connected on the sides to keep water out.

thats what I did about 2 years ago, the only thing I had complaints about was the comfort level, other there than that I was fine and the boots were good. Like someone mentioned above with the rubber outsole being high water and dirt wasn't a hinderance.

Regarding the two-tone leather, from a sewing perspective: The boots are asymmetrical, but similar shapes, so it was probably easier for the factory to sort the insides vs outsides by color, since they were going to be covered up anyway.
Either that or they just ordered whatever leftovet scraps of leather of a specific thickness and cut they could find from their supplier, would be perfectly reasonable to do so honestly

these are actually phenomenal winter boots, i live in toronto and wore them the last two winders, you’re ignoring the fact the soles are so high and the rubber goes to your ankle that you actually don’t have to worry about water leaking in, i’ve stood in rivers for 15 minutes no issues, they’re also incredibly warm and have saved me on -30 days that i didn’t want to wear my bunny boots

Your waterproofness test had the boot submerged up to the first eyelet. That’s why water got in. It might be waterproof below the eyelets?

Adidas doesn't use good materials because they're all into the zero waste ocean plastic crap. From what I understand they wanna be 100% vegan in a couple years. Even most of they're flagship classic models they have ditched leather and went vegan. Ill be damned if im gonna buy a fake leather sneaker for over $100. I also think it's a big reason why they're sales have tanked in recent years. Go back to good quality leather and ill come back to buying alot more from adidas.

Sad that people overpay such insane prices for these, just because they exist, but not very much. The hobby is messed up if paying $500-$1k for this complete and utter junk is it. These deserve to be forgotten as if they never existed; just because they did exist doesn't mean they should be remembered. Unfortunately the prices only seem to be going up, there is a pair of black ones on StockX for over $4,000, at that price I would rather beg Nick's Boots for a custom pair of leather boots that would be as close to indestructible as footwear can get, and they would still probably be cheaper.

Im not sure how or why, but it seems like your videos are being "unrecommended" to people lately or being buried cause for the past three uploads I have to specifically go into your channel to watch them because they wont show up in the recommended, even with bell on it seems like it only notifies days after you've uploaded. For awhile now it seems like the tremendous growth you've had has been stagnate for a little too long. In the past I've noticed some of your uploads with seemingly huge watch potential seems to get sabotaged by the algorithm and stays at about 70k. Obviously with any niche market there will be a demand cap, but to me it seems like your videos are actively getting targeted... dont mean to sound crazy. Ads are ads. It makes no difference. They are an important source of business revenue. They seem to make the rounds of utube channels in rounds - hair clippers, VPNs, belts, temu, diet supplements…. it’s all good 😎
In regards to the ad read. I'm always going to be in support of the creator being able to do their own thing. Maintain their creative freedom.
It feels more organic. Even when folk claim they're long time users of an ad product but read the provided script I'm going to be apprehensive.

I'm a cranky middle aged man. I don't know anything about the trendy fashionable stuff. However I have to say these just look goofy and cheap. Why not buy something that is well made with high quality materials that is timeless in it's aesthetic?
