Top top tune. If this doesn’t get you off your wherever you are listening to this classic: be it a dance floor/sofa/ or wherever you happen to be listening to this timeless tune, and to boggy on down, there no hope for you dance wise.🤣🤣👍🙏
Agree, great song with that hard-boiled, funky groove and Elmer's raspy vocals! Also, a very funny back story behind it (you know how these guys were hired by Mick Fleetwood to do a US tour posing as Fleetwood Mac, at a time when the real FM, pre-Stevie Nicks and pre their golden age of arena glory, were in a state of limbo but had contractual obligations to fulfil? Then Mick failed to show up at the first gigs and the band, these guys, felt he had given them away!) 😁
My dad listened to this song a lot when I was younger, then I watched Lock Stock and two smoking barrels and it took me down memory lane🥳love this song
Das ist eins der cooooooolsten songs ever! Beachte auch das abgefahrene Bühnenbild und den rhythmischsten Scheich.... great Vibrations ❤ I`m feeling good...
@@signpo890 Noxema Jackson is quite right, it's only your opinion. The fact you posted it doesn't make it true, all you have done is post your opinion, numbnuts. Mind you, in my opinion it is a great riff.
The mind and work process all these producers have is just fascinating to me. They listen to so much music across genres and decades, and their mind is always "on" in that it suddenly latches onto a one-second moment somewhere in the song, they store it in "the library", and they come back to it, maybe the next day, maybe years later, to create something completely different from it. It's like the music version of every DIY person who has this tool shed full of random stuff that they might use at some point in the future, possibly, and they somehow always remember that they have it when they need it.

I love this song. I think the band were maybe a one hit wonder but what a brilliant song. There are many bands who play this song on the pub circuit. Good music!
Crazy story behind this track. Actually a terrible story…but if it wasn’t for the horror we wouldn’t have this absolute gem of a song. One in a million tracks!
@@joooanit0224 well, they were supposed to front for Fleetwood Mac in the US. It was going to be their break! Then right at the last minute, after they had arrived in the States, Mick Fleetwood canceled their appearance. He didn’t pay them anything and fabricated a lie that he had never even asked them to play. The lyrics are a reply to him.
@@crizish Worse than that they actually performed a few shows billed as Fleetwood Mac on the understanding that Mick Fleetwood would be joining them shortly, audiences noticed something was up (no female singer most notably), the shows got bad reviews and I think that is what made Mick Fleetwood change his mind and distance himself from it. Shady from Mick but as you say, we get this gem of a track.
I heard a sample of this in a tune on the radio this afternoon (December 21) and I recognised it immediately as from the 70's as a record I'd loved but couldn't think who it was until I googled! I'm not sure that I ever saw a video of the band and I certainly didn't know the story behind it - thanks for posting, very interesting!

I went down a rabbit hole and ended up here. Wow! Can't understand how this never became a hit in the US. This song reminds me of the Average White Band, but MUCH better!
This is an absolute masterpiece.
Indeed this is one of the greatest tracks ever
