Great video. May you and your family have a blessed Easter. My grandson will be 13 years old on July 7th and will be baptized make his holy communion and confirm all an Easter vigil. I just can't wait.
I just came back to my church in March 25 for youth week. I am still around this is like the tenth or twenty time of returning back to my church or the hundredth time all the years since the age of 10 until now 20 years old I've been going to church leaving it going back. The longest I have gone not going to church has been 3 or 4 years not going to church or anything else.
I am catching up on year earlier videos. You explain everything just the way to understand all these new words and things needed to understand....please keep creating these beautiful videos
Love your enthusiasm, Cath Mom. You are beautiful outside, and I bet inside as well. Good devotional times and ideas. Blessed Holy Week and Easter to you and your family.
There are also Easter food blessings. A big Polish enriched tradition. I will say though, and this is definitely an unpopular opinion, but compared to the pomp, circumstance, and solemnity of the Easter Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday night, Easter Sunday is a bit anticlimactic. Easter Sunday is indeed to be celebrated with great joy and reverence, but the big show for the Catholic Church comes on Easter Eve.
CandaceWhite Easter does not have pagan origins. That’s a misunderstanding due to the name of Easter in ENGLISH. In other languages, it’s name relates to Passover (Easter is called Pascha, Pascoa, etc). And it’s a celebration and remembrance of Christ’s resurrection. I fail to see how that’s man-made. Same with Palm Sunday. It’s in the Bible in Matthew 21:1-11 when Jesus enters Jerusalem and receives a King’s welcome, and “A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the (palm) trees and spread them on the road.” Good Friday (or Holy Friday) commemorates Jesus’ death, which happened on a Friday: Mark 15:42: “And when evening had come, since it was the day of Preparation, that is, THE DAY BEFORE THE SABBATH.” All biblical. And eating fish (or rather, abstaining from meat) is a form of fasting - something that’s also found in the Bible. Even Jesus fasted.
Thank you sooooo very much ! Our kids are learning about the Bunny - but Not the Lamb- please pray that all our families and friends will make it to Heaven! How sad you make me feel recognizing how my children have done a 180 ! You and your family are so beautiful soon I’ll be gone And to think how much I’m missing with them!
Thanks for the lovely ideas, Heather! I am definitely going to go buy the Resurrection Eggs now! We always go to Mass on Holy Thursday. Good Friday we fast. This is the first year my kiddos are in public school and I will likely keep them home on Good Friday. We have done that for a couple of holy days this year - or we go to morning Mass and drop them at school after. We did that on Ash Wednesday rather than take them to the evening service, just to set the tone for the day. We are not morning people, so we usually go to an Easter service mid-day then do an egg hunt and dinner. I did buy the Brother Francis DVD this year, so that will be a good one!
This is great! Especially the Stations of the Cross video for the kids. My daughter has been asking me, “what happened to Jesus, why does he have nails on his hands and feet mommy ?” I haven’t said anything to her yet about it because I wasn’t too sure how to break it down for her and not scare her.
Pray the Holy Rosary. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I took my kids to the Easter vigil one year, not realizing how long it was 😬. We made it an hour and a half ... I was really proud of my kids who expected a regular mass.
@@Supablonde1 .i Dont believe that . because eating meat is eating another living bleeding breathing creature. And the meat industry does treat animals very very horribly. Hi Heather! My oldest is seven years old too...just wondering if you allow your oldest to watch The Passion movie? My son has not watched it yet but I'm thinking about it this year for Good Friday...
I think the Passion is much too intense for children under age 12. We let our 13 year olds watch it for the first time last year and it was very emotional for them as is us.
Cetina Country Cottage not yet i think i am going to wait until he is 13 or 14 because it’s is pretty harsh and visual. But he gets it from brother Francis
@@ACatholicMomsLife Totally agree...it's very graphic for anyone..let alone smaller children. I have the Brother Francis dvd's in my Amazon cart 😉 Already purchased some coloring books for my children's Easter baskets😊
My girls have watched Passion of Christ since they were about 5 or 6yrs old. I figured, if Mary can show hell to the three Fatima children, then my kids can watch our Lord's Crucifixion.
In the Eastern catholic tradition we fast on good Friday from water and any food from midnight till sunset (either actual sunset or canonical sunset which is 3 pm) after that we are allowed 1 vegan meal and 1 small snack but ofc lent isn't just food! Fasting is useless without prayer! Prayer and fasting go hand in hand.
Can you kindly please tell me where you get the Bro.Francis videos and the coloring book and the Easter eggs yhat you showed us - I need something to catch these kids attention since they are not being taught like your children are! Thank you sooo very much! May our Lady wrap you all in her mantle of love, peace and protection +
If you go to the Vigil Mass on Saturday night you don't still need to go the Easter Sunday Mass do you? The Vigil Mass counts as your Sunday Mass obligation, doesn't it? I've been out of the loop for a while and only just started going to Mass again on Ash Wednesday, so I just want to make sure I'm doing everything I am supposed to be doing! I am planning to go to the Vigil Mass but I don't think I would be able to get to Mass on that Sunday as well.....of course, if it is required I will find a way...though it would be difficult...

I'm confused about Holy Week. Thursday was the last supper, Friday Jesus was crucified and died, Saturday we are like the disciples and are feeling lost without Jesus as Jesus descends to the dead, and Sunday is His resurrection. But what happens Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday? I thought Holy week started on Thursday?
ua-cam.com/video/dzVPTNeIVdM/v-deo.html This video by Father Mike helped me a lot. I thought I would share it here as well. But if anyone else has a resource of a more detailed account, please let me know. Thank you!!
Yes that video is a great resource!! Holy Week begins TODAY, but the Holy Triduum starts on Thursday which is the three day liturgy walking through Christ's Passion which begins with the Last Supper and will conclude with His resurrection. if you are to go to mass, there will not be a final blessing at the end of mass until His resurrection (so on Thursday and Friday the priest will not say "Go in Peace....") as a further demonstration of this time and what we are celebrating. Hope this helps1
@@marykateboyle4306 Thank you! That does clarify it for me. I do wish to dive deeper in what went on this week because I believe it will draw me closer to our Christ and what He did for us.
@@ca147 Yes absolutely! There is so much beauty in this week...Holy Thursday Jesus initiates the Priesthood and the Eucharist which is why we can celebrate the mass as we do today...and He paid the ultimate sacrifice for us the following evening...it's surreal...God is so good. I highly recommend checking out the masses at your local parish throughout the Triduum :)
“If anyone obeys my teaching he shall never know what it is to die.” - (Jesus, at John 8: 51) - “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where it grows rusty and moth-eaten, and thieves will break in to steal it. Store up treasure in heaven, where there is no moth and no rust to spoil it, no thieves to break in and steal, for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” - (Matthew 6: 19-20) - “Always treat others as you would like them to treat you: that is the Law and the Prophets. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it. Beware of false prophets, men who come to you dressed up as sheep while underneath they are savage wolves. You will recognize them by the fruits they bear.” - (Matthew 7: 11-16) - “Do not call any man on earth ‘father’; for you have one Father and he is in heaven. Nor must you be called ‘teacher’; you have one Teacher, the Messiah.” - (Matthew 23: 9-10) - “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” - (John 4: 24) - “Take care that no one misleads you: For many will come claiming my name…” - (Matthew 24: 4) - “Many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many; and as lawlessness spreads, men’s love for one another will grow cold. But the man who holds out to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the earth as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come.” - (Matthew 24: 11-14) - “You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” - (John 8: 32) - “When you pray, go into a room by yourself, and shut the door. Pray to your Father who is there in the secret place; and your Father who sees what is secret will reward you. In your prayers do not go babbling on like the heathen, who imagine that the more they say the more likely they are to be heard. Do not imitate them. Your Father knows what your needs are before you ask him. This is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, Your kingdom come; your will be done, on earth as in heaven, Give us today our daily bread, And forgive us the wrong we have done, as we have forgiven those who have wronged us. And do not bring us to the test, but save us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, for ever. Amen. For if you forgive others the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others, then the wrongs you have done will not be forgiven by your Father.” - (Matthew 6: 6-15) - “Pass no judgement, and you will not be judged. For as you judge others, so you will yourselves be judged, and whatever measure you deal out to others will be dealt back to you.” - (Matthew 7: 1-2) - “I am the gate; anyone who comes into the fold through me shall be safe. He shall go in and out and shall find pasturage. The thief comes only to steal, to kill, to destroy; I have come that men may have life, and may have it in all its fullness.” - (John 10: 9-10) - “I am the resurrection and I am life. If a man has faith in me, even though he dies, he shall come to life; and no one who is alive and has faith shall ever die.” - (John 11: 25-26) - “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” - (Matthew 7: 21) - “I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world” - (John 12: 47) - “Whoever then will acknowledge me before men, I will acknowledge him before my Father in heaven; and whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.” - (Matthew 10: 32-34) - “‘Your mother and brothers are here outside; they want to speak to you.’ Jesus turned to the man who brought the message, and said, ‘Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?’ and pointing to the disciples, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. Whoever does the will of my heavenly Father is my brother, my sister, my mother.’” - (Matthew 12: 47-50) - “I am the way; I am the truth and I am life; no one comes to the Father except by me. If you knew me you would know my Father too.” - (John 14: 6-7) - “The disciples came and asked Jesus, ‘Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven?’ He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. If anyone causes one of these little ones-those who believe in me-to stumble, It would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!’” - (Matthew 18: 1-7) - “‘Where two or three gather in my name, I am there among them.’ Then Peter came up and asked him, ‘Lord, how often am I to forgive my brother if he goes on wronging me? As many as seven times?’ he replied ‘I do not say seven times; I say seventy times seven.’” - (Matthew 18: 20-22) - “An expert in the law, [a leading religious Pharisee] tested him with this question: ‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’ He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind. That is the greatest commandment. It comes first. The second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself. Great video. May you and your family have a blessed Easter. My grandson will be 13 years old on July 7th and will be baptized make his holy communion and confirm all an Easter vigil. I just can't wait.
Thank you for this video!!! I wish my kids had "spring break" during Holy Week.
Lovely idea for the kids to participate in the washing of the feet. Can you video a little? so cute to watch Bella sponge someone'a feet!
Candy Clews i will see if i can remember😁
Thank you so much for this beautiful video. You are a blessing to all your viewers 🙏🏻
I love dollar baggets (bread) from Walmart. And I get that exact juice for holidays.
I am going to a Rosery march
Where is this taking place?
Amelia La
Great thing to do!!!
It was over 2 miles long
I am catching up on year earlier videos. You explain everything just the way to understand all these new words and things needed to understand....please keep creating these beautiful videos
Love your enthusiasm, Cath Mom. You are beautiful outside, and I bet inside as well. Good devotional times and ideas. Blessed Holy Week and Easter to you and your family.
thank you for the refresher. God Bless. Happy holy week.
I include you and your family in my rosaries and chaplets of mercy- you and your husband are bringing up your family the Right way- God bless you
Marlene Taruris i do pray for all those who watch these videos! I will pray a special prayer for you and your family! And thank you so much for praying for me and my family!!! So awesome!
You are an inspiration. God bless you and your family.
How sad you make me feel recognizing how my children have done a 180 !
You and your family are so beautiful soon I’ll be gone
And to think how much I’m missing with them!
Thank you for this channel. We all need support in following our faith!
I like Catholic Icing, they have free Lent and Easter stuff to print too
Florida Barbales oh yes! Thank you for sharing 😁
I wish I would have watched this video earlier this week, to do this with my children. Thanks for you helpful videos
I love yr channel thnks for everythng
My family goes and blessed Easter basket on holy Saturday
God bless you for sharing inspiring and thanks for reminding us of divine Mercy novena!!
thanks for sharing! good video
This is great! Especially the Stations of the Cross video for the kids. My daughter has been asking me, “what happened to Jesus, why does he have nails on his hands and feet mommy ?” I haven’t said anything to her yet about it because I wasn’t too sure how to break it down for her and not scare her.
Venessa Gonzalez yes it’s such a hard topic to explain to kids! The DVD does a really good job😊
Pray the Holy Rosary.
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Allelluiah 🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful information....
Wonderful!
Feeling holy this #holyweek2024
Thanks a lot for this info
Today's last supper tomorrow is Good Friday in our country
Amazing video, i love it, i guess confession suppose to be twice a year.
God bless you Heather!
Hello! I am Brazilian, Catholic and I am studying English. Congratulations on the channel! Really enjoyed! Could you enable the caption for the videos? Thank you! God bless us!
I watch the Jesus of Nazareth, I think it's the best film made on the subject, tells the story gets to the point and the actor portraying Jesus You feel Jesus is channeling him in his portrayal he's that good
I took my kids to the Easter vigil one year, not realizing how long it was 😬. We made it an hour and a half ... I was really proud of my kids who expected a regular mass.
I make Hot Cross Buns on Good Friday.
On Friday our family doesn't eat meat
@@Supablonde1 .i Dont believe that . because eating meat is eating another living bleeding breathing creature. And the meat industry does treat animals very very horribly. But thats just my opinion and you have your own. And believe me i love my lord and savior Jesus Christ and i love the Virgin Mary , and i hope they love me too. But i never heard of not eating meat because "its the teachings of demons" . so thats my opinion and remember thats just my opinion
Great video, Heather!! Do you cover all your statues and crucifixes? When do you start? On palm Sunday?
I can't fast as I take medication and I have to eat before taking my medication I wanted to do it but then I realize that I couldn't because of my medication for my diagnoses of mental illnesses/mental health problems
Hello , great channel!!
I wanted to ask you if you would happen to know if a reputable online rosary store .
I would like to purchase a good quality rosary for my daughter.
Thanks in advance. 👋😎
I'll get my feet washed this year.
@@terarenae Yes..think we will hold off for some years. I can't wait until the Resurrection movie comes out!
I gave up UA-cam for lent so I haven't watched any of your beautiful videos lately. Happy Easter ♥️❤♥️❤♥️
Hi my birthday falls on holy week this year. Any ideas how to celebrate it while keeping the holy week tradition alive?
Can you kindly please tell me where you get the Bro.Francis videos and the coloring book and the Easter eggs yhat you showed us - I need something to catch these kids attention since they are not being taught like your children are! Thank you sooo very much! May our Lady wrap you all in her mantle of love, peace and protection +
Marlene Taruris sure they are all in the description box😊
If you go to the Vigil Mass on Saturday night you don't still need to go the Easter Sunday Mass do you? The Vigil Mass counts as your Sunday Mass obligation, doesn't it? I've been out of the loop for a while and only just started going to Mass again on Ash Wednesday, so I just want to make sure I'm doing everything I am supposed to be doing! I am planning to go to the Vigil Mass but I don't think I would be able to get to Mass on that Sunday as well.....of course, if it is required I will find a way...though it would be difficult...
Deanne Healy yes you only have to do one or the other🥰. Some people do both but you don’t have too😊. Have a great Easter!
@@ACatholicMomsLife Thanks Heather. I hope you and your beautiful family have an awesome Holy Week ! :)
Thanks Heather!!! What are you bringing to the pot luck?
Kelly Hardy i will be bringing a ham casserole, it’s with ham and tortellini and peppers with dressing😊
God payed the price to save us in Triduum. This is something Jesus said those who love me grab your cross and follow me. Those who died for the god shall be in paradise.
I apologize for being abrasive in my comments on past videos. I know we both feel very passionately about our beliefs and ultimately we both serve the same God. I hope that I didn’t make you too upset with all I said.
Shaunalea 82 no not at all! I am so glad we both love the same God! Have you ever thought of doing UA-cam? You could share you faith it’s pretty neat to evangelize! I would totally subscribe😁
A Catholic Mom's Life I know I was pretty hard on you and I apologize honestly I felt a little convicted. I hope there are no hard feelings!!!! I just wanna continue to learn about your faith!!!!! God bless!!!
CandaceWhite Very true I totally agree!!!
First to comment 💃💃💃💃💃💃💃
We don’t have mass because of covid 19 😟

“If anyone obeys my teaching he shall never know what it is to die.” - (Jesus, at John 8: 51) -
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where it grows rusty and moth-eaten, and thieves will break in to steal it. Store up treasure in heaven, where there is no moth and no rust to spoil it, no thieves to break in and steal, for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” - (Matthew 6: 19-20) -
“Always treat others as you would like them to treat you: that is the Law and the Prophets.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.
Beware of false prophets, men who come to you dressed up as sheep while underneath they are savage wolves. You will recognize them by the fruits they bear.” - (Matthew 7: 11-16) -
“Do not call any man on earth ‘father’; for you have one Father and he is in heaven. Nor must you be called ‘teacher’; you have one Teacher, the Messiah.” - (Matthew 23: 9-10) -
“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” - (John 4: 24) -
“Take care that no one misleads you: For many will come claiming my name…”
- (Matthew 24: 4) -
“Many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many; and as lawlessness spreads, men’s love for one another will grow cold. But the man who holds out to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the earth as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come.” - (Matthew 24: 11-14) -
“You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” - (John 8: 32) -
“When you pray, go into a room by yourself, and shut the door. Pray to your Father who is there in the secret place; and your Father who sees what is secret will reward you.
In your prayers do not go babbling on like the heathen, who imagine that the more they say the more likely they are to be heard.
Do not imitate them. Your Father knows what your needs are before you ask him.
This is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come; your will be done, on earth as in heaven,
Give us today our daily bread,
And forgive us the wrong we have done, as we have forgiven those who have wronged us.
And do not bring us to the test, but save us from the evil one.
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, for ever.
Amen.
For if you forgive others the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others, then the wrongs you have done will not be forgiven by your Father.” - (Matthew 6: 6-15) -
“Pass no judgement, and you will not be judged. For as you judge others, so you will yourselves be judged, and whatever measure you deal out to others will be dealt back to you.” - (Matthew 7: 1-2) -
“I am the gate; anyone who comes into the fold through me shall be safe. He shall go in and out and shall find pasturage.
The thief comes only to steal, to kill, to destroy; I have come that men may have life, and may have it in all its fullness.” - (John 10: 9-10) -
“I am the resurrection and I am life. If a man has faith in me, even though he dies, he shall come to life; and no one who is alive and has faith shall ever die.” - (John 11: 25-26) -
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” - (Matthew 7: 21) -
“I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world”
- (John 12: 47) -
“Whoever then will acknowledge me before men, I will acknowledge him before my Father in heaven; and whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.” - (Matthew 10: 32-34) -
“‘Your mother and brothers are here outside; they want to speak to you.’ Jesus turned to the man who brought the message, and said, ‘Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?’ and pointing to the disciples, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. Whoever does the will of my heavenly Father is my brother, my sister, my mother.’” - (Matthew 12: 47-50) -
“I am the way; I am the truth and I am life; no one comes to the Father except by me. If you knew me you would know my Father too.” - (John 14: 6-7) -
“The disciples came and asked Jesus, ‘Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven?’ He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!’” - (Matthew 18: 1-7) -
“‘Where two or three gather in my name, I am there among them.’
Then Peter came up and asked him, ‘Lord, how often am I to forgive my brother if he goes on wronging me? As many as seven times?’ he replied ‘I do not say seven times; I say seventy times seven.’” - (Matthew 18: 20-22) -
“An expert in the law, [a leading religious Pharisee] tested him with this question: ‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’ He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind. That is the greatest commandment. It comes first. The second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself. Everything in the Law and the Prophets hangs on these two commandments.’” - (Matthew 22: 35-40) -
“There is no greater love than this, that a man should lay down his life for his friends.” - (John 15: 13) -

“One of the criminals who hung there also mocked and taunted him: ‘Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself, and us!’ But the other criminal rebuked him. ‘Have you no fear of God? You are under the same sentence as he. For us it is plain justice; we are paying the price for our misdeeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.’ And he said, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ He answered, “I tell you this: today you shall be with me in Paradise.’” - (Luke 23: 39-43) -
“For it is my Father’s will that everyone who looks upon the Son and puts his faith in him shall possess eternal life; and I will raise him up on the last day” - (John 6: 40) -
