As a long time Eminem fan, I think this was a good analysis. Em's skills are obviously still there (and obviously still vastly superior to the majority of rappers), but like you say at the end, his current style of delivery and overall angry tone gets a little grating. I think it really stems from the fact that Em is so very angry at the current state of (popular) hip-hop that he can't help but show it in his raps. He feels like a craft and culture that he's grown to love so much is being distorted, and even more boldly stated, bastardized, to such a harsh extent these days especially in the mainstream scene that he just comes off as chaotically angry all the time both in terms of tone and focus. If he just finds a slightly more grounded, or at least more interesting/humorous way to express those ideas COMBINED with his absolutely inhuman way of putting bars and rhymes together, I think he'd be unstoppable
The anger that he presents is impotent. Being angry at the current state of hip-hop? He's turned into everything he ever made fun of. It really does butcher his funnier and more intelligent lines when he has to SHOUT THEM with a MEAN FACE. Like on the song Role Model on SSLP he has some ridiculous lines but they work because of how zany and silly his delivery was, for example,
