Cell's been my favorite since Xenoverse where he says as your sensei, "I would totally hug you if that was something I did!"
Going to cut you off. Goku has the knack to learn abilities just by seeing them. That's how he learned the Kamehameha. Cell has Gokus cells. Cell saw Tien do his finisher. That's how the Cell Jr. learned it.

I like how "Perfect" Cell is even perfect in the meta sense, in that Toriyama's editors pulled a Goldilocks on the Cell designs going "too gross", "too goofy" and finally, "just -right- PERFECT"
It wasn't dwelt on too badly here, but I've seen people lose their minds over the Cell-jr using tribeam. My reasoning is it doesn't really matter if Cell had Tien's cells in him or not, he had GOKU'S cells in him...the same Goku that as a child saw the Kamehameha wave performed once and immediately performed it himself. In addition Cell had a front row seat in watching Tien fire the tribeam so he had a clear view of the technique.
I heard in many instances that Cell actually have a gift for copying techniques? That would explain quite a bit and fits the character.
Yeah, also, remember this time when Cell blew himself up, regenerated and auto-learned Teleportation ?

I don't get why people freaked out over that. Cell does have Tien's DNA. The black dot on his head is a 3rd eye (Tien has 3 eyes) and he can use the Multi-form move which he used in the Cell games fighting Goku
He possibly copied it from sight ALONE like Neo Metal Sonic!
Cell is very related to The Creeper ( Jeepers Creepers ) because what ever they eat they became a part of it . The can also absorb biology.
There exists a creature in the real world that does that too. It's the blue sea slug (Glaucus atlanticus) and it absorbs the nematocysts from the Portugese man o' wars they eat and can use them itself.

Here's a thought: The Cell Jrs can use the Tri-Beam because, due to Cell's Saiyan DNA, he learned the Tri-Beam after watching, and being struck by, Tien's Tri-Beam.

Android 19 and gero were to old, 17 and 18 were to young, 1st form was an insect, 2nd form looked like too much of a moron and finally the editors liked perfectcell

The thing though on number 10, the new explanation is another plot hole. Remember when android 16 ripped off Cell's tail? Wouldn't there be 2 Cells if every cell in his body can regenerate his whole body? The only way that could be explained away is that his non-perfect form could NOT regenerate from any bunch of cells that survives for some arbitrary reason.

I'm not 100% sure but as far as I remember in the german version he did not specify where exactly his core is so the enemy doesn't know it. This would make perfect sense as I always expected it to be somewhere around that "plate" part in the middle of his body.
He said in the show that goku allowed him to recover from near death fights and come back much stronger mabye thats why

To address some of the confusion on 6:25 on how cell killed trunks twice yet trunks killed cell twice. Theres 3 cells and 2 future trunks (so far).
*Each timeline refers to an alternate reality*
Timeline A: the main timeline we watched as a kid, goku gets his antidote from future trunks (B) and fights cell (C) after krillin destroys cell (A)
Timeline B: trunks (B) goes to the past after android 17 & 18 (B) destroy most of civilization; this is also the same one in the future trunks special (with future Gohan) and the Zamasu arc from DBSuper
Timeline C: future trunks (C) is killed by cell (C) on his way to give goku the antidote, this is so that cell (C) can absorb android 17 & 18 (A)
Essentially the cell that goku fights had killed the trunks of timeline C, so that he can absorb the androids of the main timeline A, but was met by trunks from timeline B.
Now about the killing part. Trunks (B) upon returning to the future, kills cell (B) as well as 17 & 18 (B). Trunks (B) also helped krillin destroy cell (A) so that the main timeline wont have to deal with another cell.
Cell (C) killed trunks (C) before that timeline C version could go to the past. So cell (C) came to the main timeline, and then along the path he killed trunks (B).
Hopefully it makes sense, theres a video on youtube called dragonball in 20 minutes (or something like that) which explains this better
I think the Androids were the most interesting villains from DBZ because they could not be detected and definitely the most difficult to find. Cell is my favorite villain from DBZ overall though. Never thought about the King Piccolo aspect in Cell, very sharp eye 2 Spooky.

The way I always though about Cell's regeneration is that he can do so from any cell of his body but at a big cost in energy. Just like how Piccolo drain his power to restore a limb it cost a lot for Cell to regrow his upper torso. His "core" on the other hand can regenerate his entire body at full power and the self destruct is designed to protect the core. When Goku blew up Cell's upper body he could have defeated Cell on his own without SSJ2 if he had taken a senzu bean before Cell regenerated because Cell's power dropped by a huge chunck. I even think that if it had been a random cell from his foot that survived the self destruct instead of his core it would have taken Cell a long time to recover in the same way it took him years to come back from his larva state when he used the time machine. It's the core that allowed him to regenerate so quickly at full power.
I think it would've made a lot more sense if Cell was invited to the team instead of Frieza.
TheAwesomeDarkNinja it's really wouldn't. cell is quite far down the list as far as power levels. he also never really had the same presence as frieza did.

G Mighty that might be but he isn't on the same level as the majority of the team and he definitely isn't on frieza's level either. out of the pair of them frieza would be the more effective fighter for the last slot on the team considering we know that there are fighters on the other teams that can not only give Goku a run for his money but can, at least on a strength level, beat beerus. both frieza and cell are going to be sneaky bastards and try to screw the team over so you might as well pick the one that will also give you the greatest up side out if the two.
TheAwesomeDarkNinja it would be nice for sure but problem being cells power is way to low his not even in the same league as frieza golden frieza is strong as if not stronger then ssb so cell would be around piccolo power level now not worth having him unless he went platinum cell lol but I agree would be cool

I see a lot of videos like this pop up that actually have useless things like "did you know Cell was the villain of this arc?" Or something blatantly false like "Did you know Cell is Frieza reincarnated?"
But this was actually a good video, so good job!
Another theory would be when cell got beat and spat out android 18 and then went back to his 2nd form and blew himself up came back even stronger then before, the theory behind this I think because android 18 wasn’t absorbed properly this is why he spat the android out when getting hit so hard, then when he blew him self up he was then able to regenerate without the error he was able to reach proper perfection with alittle zenkai boost
That's s plot hole though because Vegeta said in the frieza sags self harm doesn't give you s Zenkai boost.

The bigger plothole with Cell is that saiyans aren't supposed to get stronger if their injury is self-inflicted, yet Cell became Super Perfect Cell after he self-destructed.
Saiyans get stronger every time they almost die.
Mr. Perfect Cell is right, Vegeta explained this.
