China has 5 cameras on every street corner, being watched by various Chinese agencies.... This bloke is bonkers!
Most of the cameras in China cover the roads to catch driving offences. There are an insane amount trying to catch drivers. In regards to cameras everywhere else, we're probably on par with them.
The big difference is the cameras in China are quite noticeable, but the ones in the UK are quite discreet. You'll be surprised how many cameras are in the UK, we just don't notice them. It's only when you deliberately look for them you suddenly realise how many cameras are out there in the UK. For instance every cash point machine has an inbuilt camera.

This is insane to hear. Terry is clearly capable of being open-minded and rational from the dynamics of this conversation but has been pulled so far down the rabbit hole that it would take so much more to pull him out again. It saddens me that the internet hasn't been the enlightenment it could have been, and has instead become a vehicle for disinformation that has manipulated people who would otherwise be decent into holding such dangerous beliefs.
