  • The Acorn A3010 is back together after showing the internals (here • [Retroer]Acorn A3010 R... ). We have a quick look at start-up of Risc OS 3.1, the 3 button mouse, the CFS (compressed filing system) that was on the hardisk, and some of the customisation on the desktop as well as folders with custom icon.

Thanks just waiting for a mouse to come to get mine working. Cut out the battery that started leaking and it starts up and goes into the desktop so hopefully the disk drive will work :)

Would love to get a hard disk for it like yours?

Long time ago I had an A3010 with a very nice hard drive and micropodule expansion. Had IDE interface, user port and two micropodule slots. I had a midi one fitted + 120mb 2.5 inch hard drive. It would be nice if I could find another expansion card like it. Think it was made by Watford electronics

Wow, the HCCS looks like a sophisticated bit of kit, really pushed the boat out on expanding the machine. The CF to IDE adapter makes the A3010 much more usable.
