- Hello everyone, come along as I build a highway interchange for Thomas Burg! I finally use a mod that allows us to have smooth road inclines!

New roads look good! I don't mind the different colors, it's kind of realistic with newer roads looking slightly different in my humble opinion.

Finally, you have used Furneiku's Roads curves to smoothen it out. It should work like butter now, trust me, its gonna be nice.

I think the two different road mods/types work together just fine, as lots of roads in real life are a mix of grey and black because of the newer asphalt meeting slightly older asphalt.
Thanks for the view point! I like that way of thinking about it "old vs new".
I think the different colours of the highway road shows character and a bit of history that you can see
And I think the long trailer is cool and it could be good if the highway was built for it and it might make the logistics a bit easier as bigger trailer means it can carry more stuff

You should add roadside signs that say stuff like what exit the interchange is and speed limits. That'd be cool to add that extra detail.

I think your idea of having only the main highway roads as the old roads and using the new road for non-highway roads, also if you feel it would make it better, you should remove the old non-highway roads in the main city to match the new style with the different roads for different purposes.

2 things. first of all 9:47 well said 2nd ripping up all of the old roads is pointless and a huge waste of time so i say leave them be. but all new roads should be fureniku roads i think it could be a nice way to show road building progress.

I got to say man I love what you doing I love the way the highways look especially with the New Roads and I think you should have long trailers they're really good for long distant trips you don't have to go back and forth so much and you can carry a lot more also is this an actual server that I can join I would love to be a part of your community
I appreciate the kind words. The server is private but I do want to try some community events in the future.
Need to add to the mod a moose that comes out and destroys your front end, and a DOT cop taking ass or taking bribes. 😂
They are now going onto private property and waking truckers up during their sleep break to do inspections, and writing drivers tickets who are in line at the truck stop shop for repairs. They are all dirty.

I know it isn't your mod, but trucks don't redline at 7k. You would probably blow the head at 3.5k.

Heya! Thanks for the new video. I think the main roads with the old mod should stay as they are now (except for the cobble slabs). Only the ascents/descents should be replaced with Fureniku's roads. New highways and local roads can also be built with Fureniku's since you've started the new highway exit/driveway to Thomas Burg and Venice using those. The new truck is awesome, by the way! 🔥

The modpack was community created and a bit out of date. The mods are downloaded separately, I have a list on discord of the ones I use

Definitely need to widen some of your rosds to allow for semi.
This can be done by adding a simple extra block on each side next to every painted line and adding shoulders of at least two or three blocks on your freeways.
Yes I agree, I got too used to using the shortened semi truck trailer.
@@makeshiftgang honestly i could probably make an entire list of small recommendations on how to make and where to fix all your roads so they're more drivable for semi's with long trailers like that.
like how widening certain interchanges/exit ramps a like 2 blocks would fix a lot of issues.
Or adding 2 block shoulders on certain turns.
Heck for intersection fixes the most basic tip i can give to start is to imagine you're making your road lanes not for cars but for trains using each individual lane.
So if the train is clipping the terrain when making a left or right, the intersection is too narrow and needs larger rounded corners.

It' s just a bunch of mods I use. There is a mods list in the discord. There is also an unofficial community mod pack but I think it is a bit out of date. The core mods in is are immersive vehicles, immersive engineering, immersive railroading, IC2 and buildcraft.
