I did Kyokushin growing up, now do Muay Thai, and think in MT I miss out a bit on the focus on technique aspects like in Kyokushin. e.g. For Kyokushin front kick, we drilled sooo much (yes, boring!) technique pointing the ball of the foot like a spear. Up and down the hall, up and down. In MT much less formal, and I never had the technique broken down to me how we did in Kyokushin. Anyway. The other big benefit of this strike is long range vs. hitting with shin/instep. May not look like much, but if your opponent is good at judging distance and expecting shin, he's gonna think he's out of range when this kick can reach perfectly. Definitely going to bring this to my game, thanks again.
Hey man great content. Did you know a karateka from Japan got almost killed with this kick? His opponent accidentally kicked him in the spleen and caused internal bleeding. They didn't notice the bleeding untill a few hours passed. They realized something was up and rushed to the hospital saving the guy
This kick works a treat especially to the liver. Even a short kick off the front foot to the tip of the floating rib has worked for me on several occasions both on the mat and elsewhere. ;)
Another great video remember Bas Rutten used a very similar technique to great effect throughout his career was more of a Mae Geri but setup the same way with round house kicks. The rear leg side kick is also great when set up this way
Bas rutten also learned kyokushin... I saw one of his videos a while back where he basically breaks down some of hisTechniques and greatly mentions kyokushin as the main effector. Here it is ua-cam.com/video/15LFu31rE8k/v-deo.html .
There are some lead leg knock downs by Semmy Schilt him self on old k-1 matches her on UA-cam. The fact that you hit with this small surface makes all the difference. Remember that I even made it work when the opponent hade his guard thigh to the body as the ball of your foot snuck around the elbow/arm having the angle it have.
Salam. Thank you man I've become a fan. Will be following your success. Brother I'm a beginner if you can tell me. How often do I have to stretch the legs to get more flexible and higher kicks?
Kinda funny how Humans stub there toes probably over 10 times per year. It's like this Kick was designed to be used by Humans. Of course you should aim for the ball though.
Easily the best English language kyokushin lessons I've found on UA-cam!
Appreciate that man! Osu!

Hello Nick whats more effective chudan geri or teep?
Had my first official kyokushin karate training yesterday! After 9 years shotokan 13 years taekwondo and some boxing and kickboxing. It was awesome!
How cool is that man! Im very glad to hear that! 👊 Osu! 🥋

Havent seen that! Sounds damn painful man! Do you Know his name??
Cant wait for your next match man. I can see your channel growing. Already it has attracted some.
I cant wait either! Looking forward to fighting again, and hopefully making this channel as big as IG!

Sir this is a bomb I wíll pratice this kick for self defense.Keep up the good work.

For sure! Its disgusting when you get hit by it😂

Never seen this technique in MMA before, nice to enlarge my vision :)
Try it out bro, let me know how it goes 👊
such an efficient kick! many thanks for breaking it down so accesible
Thanks for watching!👊
As always, a pleasure to watch. My best congrats, Sir 🤝
Appreciate it man! Thank you for watching 🙏

One of my favorite techniques... Very effective
Nasty kick! Knockout when it connects!
😻thanks
🙏🙏

Salaam bro, i would say dynamic stretches before every workout and static stretches after!
@@NeroMMA thank you!
It's very power kick 👍 OSU 👊🔥
Osu! Thank you! Its a great kick!
Is the angle somewhere between a roundhouse and a front kick/teep? Would you throw it right down the middle like a front kick/teep?
Think of it as a mix between the two! Diagonally inward!
Damn, I was sleeping on this technique for so long.
Honestly such an underrated kick that's making waves in Japanese kickboxing. Karate fighters are getting KOs with it frequently
@ yes i have first seen its use from Takeru very recently
If you're gonna use this Kick, I recommend you don't do it loaded like a MT Roundhouse. Lead Leg or Back Leg Snap Kick is more safer.
Nasty kick useful for self defense.
Indeed!
Man bring me
Bring you where bro?
❤️
Bro I'm left kick heavy but I can bullshit my right high kicks with this variation. I literally only ball kick with my right leg to the face
Ain't this you going to hit your toes
Not if you pull your toes back!
@@NeroMMA oh I heard of this kick but I'm scared of using it
@@NeroMMA where is this kick targeted at???
@@hotpopcorncake the solar plexus or the liver.... He mentions it.
i cant bend over my toes :c
by a Mae Geri it is 'okay... but by the mawashi?
Thanks boy! i will test it
Osu!
My Mawashi Geri Chosoku is between a Yoko Geri and Mawashi Geri in terms of angle.
Some people do it more like a 45° Mae Geri.
Assalamualaikum bro..
Waalaikum salaam bro!
It looks like a push kick tbh

Wonder who’s the guy who dislikes this video
Haha he probobly isnt doing well in life.
Probably someone who broke their toes attempting this kick. 😅
