Faworki in English are called angel wings. Milk bars were established at the end of the 19th century. They were very popular during the Great Depression, wars and communism. The traditional Polish donut(pączek) is stuffed with rosehip jam, but now there are dozens of different filling variations.

Thank you for the details and for watching. Our comments about Milk Bars were based on some info I researched. Hopefully we weren't misleading. We weren't trying to say that they starting during communist rule, but what we read is they spread during it.
