Awesome! One correction during the example…the melee combat is 1d6 roll for the US and the British, not 1d10. The example in the book is incorrect and the Lady of the Lake would be captured no matter the die roll for either side.

    Excellent playthrough, Joe -- thanks!
Only one very small point of correction/clarification just so people understand: Those spaces on the Convoy Supply Tracks are numbered, but those numbers do not refer to game turns. The tracks advance, pause, or regress depending on your side's supply state. So it could be Turn 6 of the game, but your Convoy Supply Track might still be stuck in space #2 if you were victimized by a lot of raids, had your convoys captured, etc. Advancing your Convoy Supply marker is key not only to getting ships built, but also to making your Troops markers available.
And yes -- please do the British Solo Campaign playthrough of the extended example of play, if you can. This U.S. example was good for showing the basic flow of a turn and some of the administrative tasks, but the British one has a lot of combat action and is quite exciting.

Thanks Gina! I realized I misspoke when I called the convoy track "turns" so thank you for the clarification! I am going to do the British playthrough as well for the exact reason you pointed out.

After seeing multiple videos and reading about this game, it does look like it has a lot of variables to keep the gameplay engaging (and the potential to meld it with tactical games is also a bonus).
I am very tempted to place the order, especially while it's being offered at the CPO price...it looks like a perfect addition for the "Canadian History" section on my shelf.

It is a good one - more "meaty" in terms of decision space than a lot of solo games. This one's definitely not on rails and your decisions do play a role in your progress.

@@HexedAndCountered That 'meatiness' is what attracted me, initially. I can't say I've seen any game quite like this (outside of computer games) in terms of the detail. From your experience is there anything else comparable?
In the end, seeing your playthrough has pushed me over, though, so I placed the order. 😁I'm looking forward to getting it on the table.

Great gameplay. Thank you. I also vote for a British solo when you get the time.
