Sorry for you loss… our fur babies mean so much to us… I have several that have passed on and I still think of each of them at least, once a day… I have a 14 year old bull mastiff and a 14 year old whippet/yellow lab that are both at the edge of the rainbow bridge… I’m just praying I get through Christmas with them…
That red is gorgeous!!!! I FINALLY found a red paste from Eye Candy that is deep red like that…. I started using pastes more than the mica powders…. I spilled sooooooo many micas….. 😢😢😢😢 so, I said to myself, "Self, you are a Klutz! Get something you can’t spill!" So, that’s what I did lol…
This is beautiful. Cute doggo's Steve! I always say that if you're not messy doing resin then you have to be doing it wrong lol. I'm very messy too. Love your channel. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
Those powders look great! If you like to swirl colors and may need to find ideas for that, you might check out marbling techniques. I made some marbled fabric.
wow..i am super impressed over how good these micas work together - blend but without looking muddy.. Honestly -i was a bit worried for the stand when you started mixing them with the coffee stick.. but WOOOW .. it is stunning!! I want to make one for my dog to.. Your dogs are soooo cute
You should give Mad Micas a look. They have some of the best micas I've used in both resin and soap making. And I haven't tried it in resin yet, but they have a True Red blend that works fantastic in cold process soaps.
I LOVE Aileen's glues!!!!! Try the clear glue she has…. It’s awesome!!! I coat all of my pictures i use in resin with them…. Much better than Moge Podge…. (However it’s spelled lol)
Great jump ring idea! Also, yes, 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve heard you say it hundreds of times…. 🤦🏼♀️ I ruined two silicone molds this weekend by using a torch 😳🤷🏼♀️ I know, I know….. the molds melted to the resin. I had no clue until I went to de-mold. 😩
thank you so much for this video, I have this mold and was wondering how to deal with the photos, btw, I also have a Lilly dog who is going to be immortalised in resin lol
Those are gorgeous colors! The mica powder set I bought the reds lean a bit cool, so the bright red is a tad pink. I have to really slow down on buying craft supplies until we move into a bigger house next year. I *could* pack away our dvds, that would give me a whole bookshelf to put things on 🤣
Steve, how much resin do you think I would need to create 5 of these heart shaped photo frames like the one you made today in this video? I would love to make these for my family members and I want to ensure that I have enough resin from the start. Thank you for this brilliant video!
They are beautiful colours but I’m perplexed. How do you know that the red is so good or that any of the other colours are so vibrant? I know you said the colours are on the bottles but if you’re colour blind how can you give an opinion on how pigmented etc the colour is? I know people who are colour blind and they can’t distinguish the colours like you can. How do you do it? Just wondering
Color blind doesn't always mean you can't see any colors.. Usually, they just have difficulty differentiating between color. Ability to perceive vibrancy is not impaired.
Just bc you are colour blind doesn’t mean you see in black and white It’s just a narrower field They just have difficulty differentiating Colour is colour and therefore they can appreciate it albeit can be frustrating If someone’s sees green as blue They can still see it’s a beautiful colour
As with any disability you learn to differentiate. So tho ☛ⁱ ᵉ he may not see red he can recognise it and how deep the colour is compared to others but he will always have to have labels near by
I can see the difference in the depth and brightness of the colour. This red doesn’t look washed out to me. Also I ask my partner a lot about what the colours look like in comparison to other colours.
Love watching you!! I hope one day I can make money making my crafts. just ordered my micropowders as I haven’t actually brought any colours just been working with what I have. I have just set up an Etsy shop and just jumping straight in wish me luck. Cherryrockscrafts if you fancy having a look at what I have been doing if you have the time. Loving you and your channel !!! You bring a smile to my face. 😊
One of my sweet doggies passed away in August. This would make a lovely memorial for her. Thank you Steve. ❤😊
I am so sorry to hear that, they are so important to us, it is devastating when we lose them ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you, they are my little girls. I am soooooo messy lol.
Is there another way? Lol. I've seen some videos that look so "perfectly" done. I'm convinced that they're cleaning up between takes.
That's absolutely beautiful Steve, might splash out and get one xx
What an adorable memorial idea. Great molds too. I do love their mica powders also. ❤❤❤ how this came out. 🥰
Beautiful colors!!
Very bright and the sparkle is brilliant.

You are so right about the red! It is impossible difficult to get a real red. Thefe is rust and magenta and pinks and oranges…. Never a real red.
Is the 4 hour cure resin just as strong and sturdy as the resins which are like 12+ hours? A 4 hour wait time would be fantastic for bulk making x
Steve do you use a picture from photo paper or a copy on regular paper printed with highest quality print?

Spot on. 😀
2:31 your swirls didn’t go all the way through, it is still just stripes.
1:08 how would you know it’s a proper red? You’ve claimed to be color blind a number of times so how do you know if it’s red or pink?
