- Brought to you by Meat Loaf Bootleg Hub (YT won't let me paste the link here, sigh...)
Update - I've found out that the 2CD version of CSIB with these tracks included was actually released before the date this show was supposedly recorded, meaning it couldn't have possibly been recorded in Sydney on October 5th - until further info can be dug up it shall be called Live in "Sydney"...

This is a great show albeit a short recording. It was (supposedly) recorded in October 2003 at the NRL Grand Final in Sydney during the first leg of the huge "Last" World Tour that ran from January 2003 until March 2004. This is one of the earliest records featuring C.C. Colletti-Jablonski on backing vocals as she replaces Renee Cologne in September. This is a really fun show and the quality is near perfect as it's sourced from an obscure official release - certain later Australian editions of the Couldn't Have Said It Better album featured these 6 tracks on the 2nd disc. The original quality is great but the soundboard is rather dry and muddy so I've EQ'd it and added a bit of reverb and I think it's sounding pretty fantastic.
Meat and the band are on fire here, we also get a rare performance of the underrated 'Love You Out Loud' which is a nice treat :). With all that said and done, enjoy this brief albeit charming snippet of soundboard material from what many (including I) consider to be one of the big man's greatest tours! As always, if you ever want a show up - just request it, or email me at these addresses: mlbfcollection2@gmail.com OR mlbfcollection3@gmail.com... Thanks - Jack :)
He never died. Well, not his legacy or the love us fans have anyway....I'm always finding different live versions I've never heard before. Thanks for sharing!
I remember Meat saying about Couldn't have said it better myself, when it came to doing the live version of the song, it was John Micelis idea to put the drum intro on, which I don't remember being on the album
I honestly prefer it with the drum intro
I have both the dvd and cd from this concert, a great version of Objects in the rear view mirror on there, especially Paul's guitaring
You may be thinking of Ontario 2007 or Melbourne 2004 or Sydney 2011
Objects was played in Ontario but Paul played at all 3
This show has never had a video release besides 2 mins of footage shown on TV
Hope this clears things up
@MLBFCollection yeah sorry I've just realised, the one I have is the Melbourne one with the orchestra
I'm getting mixed up, sorry, the orchestra one had the real good version of For crying out loud, the one I'm thinking of with Objects is the dvd they did in London Ontario, sorry for my confusion
@tug1345 Oh it's alright, they're all from a similar era - it's an easy enough mistake to make with two being filmed in Australia and one in the less popular London
I have feeling the live tracks of " love you out loud" and " tear me down" were on the "Tear me down" single
They were indeed
I have been searching for a while on the specific date of these live tracks and I don’t believe they are from this particular date. The 2 disc Australian edition with the live bonus tracks was released on 29 Sept 2003, before the Sydney show in question would have taken place.
That's very helpful information - I'll look into the actual date!
The earliest Australian date I have for the tour is October 1st in Canberra
Maybe these were rehearsals with added audience noise
Wouldn't be the first time
@@mlbfcollection8785 Yes, that’s possible but I wouldn’t think these tracks are from Australia at all given the 2 CD version was released on 29 Sept ‘03. I think it’s more likely they are from some date on the US leg of the tour during the summer of ‘03.
@sirskyscraper Probably
The only dates I can confirm to have a soundboard recording that received any official-esc treatment is Mexico City from August 8th
