At 2:23 sign says road closed, ignores the sign three seconds later at 2:26 “oh my god this road is terrible” ,made me laugh.
Good to hear your gonna pipe the Raptor! That thing will sound sick with the dual exhaust. Your in Sioux Falls right?? I'm in Mankato. The street riding you do looks fun, maybe someday we can collab if i'm passing through 👍
Glad you're making these videos for anyone who needs to learn these things. Stay safe.
you should definitely make an in depth video on downshifting, they are very limited on youtube and there is none on the raptor 700. i've watched some other videos on it but they are mostly on street bikes. itd be cool to have one on the machine i actually own (raptor 700)
Bro this looks so fun.
I’ve been trying to learn how to ride a banshee and this is literally the only video that has helped me learn when I should be shifting up and down thanks man
i love your quad vlogs bro! im 17 still looking for my first job and i would love to save up for a raptor 700!
Yamaha raptor your hard to gear
Have you got it yet?
Just get a trx450 bro I’m 14 and bought one and there in the same power range as a 700
Just got a 2020 Raptor 700
if it’s your first I recommend a yfz 450
Thanks man good videos part 1 & 2 I’m a new rider just bought myself a blaster I love it and these videos taught me lots on how to ride clutch I’ve never done it before up until last week watched these videos also with a little help from my buddy and I’m getting there! Liked & subbed 👍🏻💯
One question do you have to push the throttle in while downshifting?
Finally he posts, I wanna get my street legal so bad in arizona but it's to hot to ride:(
How do you have good timing when your turning on your quad
Somewhere in Colorado is a clapped out XR100. I learned to ride on it 16 years ago and I was really bad at shifting.
so when let’s say there is a red light, do you have to go in neutral for you to go to a complete stop without holding the brake?
Dude u actually helped me so much
I've got a couple questions.
Do you have to "blip" the throttle while you're slowing down? Do you have to give it a little gas before letting go of the clutch? And do you have any tips for a beginner to a clutch? I'm looking at a 400ex, simply because everyone says it's a good starter quad to learn how to use a clutch and its reliable. Currently, I am riding a 1998 Timberwolf 250. There isn't a clutch you have to pull in, you just shift whenever you please. Really appreciate any feedback I can get!
Rev matching definitely helps and is better for clutch and tranny
What did you add or do to the quad to make it street legal. Do I need to be a certain age or any certificates.
I was wondering how do you switch down a gear I didn't really understand it
Can u elaborate on how starting your quad in gear hurts it it’s 4 stroke so long as it isn’t a bump start your not gonna hurt a thing specially with a stock motor like your sitting on your not on no race bike
Can you make a video on how to drive clutch on the atv starting off from a hill
This is kinda my opinion to you’re last question you answered. When you sowing you’re quad down it’s kinda a lose lose type scenario considering yeah you’re wearing you’re transmission down but if you’re engine breaking you’re basically doing just as much damage to you’re clutch as you are you’re transmission. Granted I’d much rather replace a clutch rather than a whole entire transmission in just saying it kinda sucks that you have two options to slow down but both of the options are wear and tear on the bike. Lol
I got a automatic quad but I was watching this video just in case mine broke down and I had to use a manual but with my quad you have to put it in neutral to start
what if you need to make a sudden stop?
clutch in, slam ur brakes or whatever, downshift to 1st and start driving again i guess
how to change gears while going fast ish
I don’t kno if u know but.... u press the gas until it’s ready to shift when it is ready u let go of the gas pull in the clutch and shift up on your left foot side.
Motoposh come back please you helped me learn to drive a quad
My question is what happened if you are on your last gear. Do you keep going or no down gears
What do you do on a hill
Wait why are u holding ur clutch in when ur slowing down or turning when ur not switching gear?
u hold it so the when your going at a slow speed on a to high of a gear it would not burn the clucth plates. so thats y and they shift down to 1st
Can I be in like third gear + and come to a stop and ride off in third gear?
If you want to buy a new clutch. It would take a lot of slipping to get it going. You can stop in any gear you want. Clutch in and stop. After you come to the full stop down shift to 1st and go again.
sheepdog 9/11 ok thank you
Quads like motorcycles are constant mesh transmissions. Meaning once your rolling you can shift without the clutch. That is how you shift in racing also. "If done correctly!" It won't hurt it. I.e. shift and go again. Do not hold the shifter up or down. Thats between gears. Then the trans has to jump into the next gear and shaft speed doesn't match.
Dude that looks so fun
Bro can you change a twist throttle to a thumb throttle?
On a Honda 400ex 2002?
@@mariozuniga1419 stock 400ex is a thumb throttle. You can either run a twist or thumb on anything. For a quad I would stick with thumb.
I found you so helpful😆😉
How do I downshift?
say your cruising on the top of 5th gear, you have to slow down, (just like shifting up a gear u have to listen to how the quad or bike sounds before shifting so you don’t prematurely shift or you shift to late) , pull the clutch in, then push your shifter down once, then u let the clutch go, once u let go you’ll be in 4th gear, you just repeat the process until you get to your desired speed and gear. On my crf250r i don’t pull my clutch in when down shifting
He calls it engine braking, a lot of people would call it rev matching, witch would mean that he his revving the engine before shifting down with your foot. he bumps the throttle a little to match the speed he’s going on the quad to down shift. And doing that with a lower gear in the process he showed should slow you down to make a more relaxed stop
Do you have to pull your clutch when downshifting? Please help me
Yes. Pull in the clutch blip the throttle and change gears
How do I switch gears to speed up while riding? I’m scared ima pop the clutch and wheelie accidental
Same
Do u have to go back into 1st gear or neutral when you come to a complete stop ?
Yes
@@Motoposh He asked Did you go into 1st or neutral, not really a yes or no question.
@@Medik2 yes
@@Medik2 yes
Do I have 250 or a 150 I have 250
Wait is your quad street legal
it helped but i didn't get how to go down a gear
He was cool.
How tf do I not stalk when coming to a complete stop. I literally stalk 7/10 times when I’m driving home bc I have to stop at stop signs
Pull in your clutch and stop. Practice starting to roll from a stop. The clutch out slow and give it gas
I wanna know how to stop and stuff
That one of the reasons why I don't let everyone ride my bikes for one main reason they are expensive to fix and you've got those friends that say and swear they been on one or know how to ride but get on the bike and wanna go fast and don't know the basics of them. Yes these bikes are fun but are not toys they can hurt you pocket wise and physically 😂😂 and it's not to be rude towards them it just the fact that I don't want to keep putting unnecessary money into my bikes everytime you ride them 🤷🏾♂️
Downshifting I think is what I need to get the hang of most
I believe that's my schools cop
Fist one to view this 🤩🤩
Make a video on how to switch gears but show the shifters because no1 is gonna see how to shift
It's not so confusing. It's just like a car
Do you let off the gas to shift?
For a second, yes
MotoPosh thanks, gonna get a raptor 700r soon so i need all the info
MotoPosh also a video on going up hills wile shifting would be nice!
Get the yoshimura exhaust
I think if you can register and insure it they should be road legal everywhere. How about chase real criminals
I am now at your channel

My love I'm me l lol
