      syrahlover you're welcome but you can't use the straw for wider tubes though. Maybe something else to fill it up? :-)

    I am completely lost. When you got to the end I wasn't able to tell which beads you were going into to finish off each row. I guess these stitches are way more advanced than I thought. Clearly you're absolutely brilliant at this. Very gifted! I love your work. I thought the thing was something I could do but It seems it's going to be far beyond my abilities.

      +jill bowen Would be a good thing to start at the beginning Jill. I have done so many vids that I kind of continue where I left off on [previous vids to get people in to the more advanced beading section. :-)

      +B4Pbakup This really would be a dream come true for me if I could make pieces like the ones you made here. This is exactly the kind of jewelry I'd enjoy making. It would make my grandmother so proud. She was so gifted and creative with all sorts of hand work. Thank you!

    • @B4Pbakup
      @B4Pbakup  8 років тому +1

      jull just start at the beginning. Go here and choose for options "oldest first". Whatever you understand you don't have to make, but whatever you don't understand watching of is confusing, just bring out the beads, watch, pause and try and it will all make sence. I promise in three months from now ou can handle anything I trow out there on youtube :-) ua-cam.com/users/B4Pbakupvideos

    I really like your tutorials. They are very easy to follow even for those of us that are relatively new at it. Has anyone ever told you that you kind of sound like Anne Bancroft? Peyote stitch was hard for me to learn at first till a cousin showed me with pony beads around an empty paper towel tube. I love the way you explain "the figure 8" , it makes SO much sense! Thanks for sharing your beading talent!

      they are fun aren't they, I'm thinking of doing a video like this with a pattern in it and explain on how to use graph paper as you design your earrings with colours

    • @marsimoon5381

    Hi Gianna, Love the earrings until you get to the head pin to make the hook. I have enough head pin pieces to open up my own scrap yard. It seems that I do indeed have two left hands when trying to make them. In the new year when I have more time I am going to make the main part and see if I can come up with my own idea as to the second part. When you mentioned that you made it into Beads and Buttons - Oct, (congratulations) I bought the only copy at my News Agents. The designs look wonderful and I hope that you continue to make many more editions. I know how excited you must have felt as it was like when I won (now twice) a State Champion Award for my Hardanger pieces. Are the ones that you show in your video, are they in the Nov edition ?. Hope I can get a copy if they are. I look forward to beading and while doing so , sharing a cup of coffee (and sometimes a naughty cream cake or two) in the new year. If I haven't already wished you and your family - Have a truly Blessed Christmas and a Healthy and Safe New Year. As always in Friendship Chris from OZ.

    • @B4Pbakup
      @B4Pbakup  9 років тому

      Hi Chris, yes headpins do take some practise I won't lie LOL. What I did was preactise on a rosary with each bead needing loops on both sides, after that I pretty much got the hang of it. Yes these bead & button pendants are of the october 2014 issue. Since I hold copyright I can sell them myself in my etsy shop after B&B published their issue. You have a Merry Christmas and a very happy new year also :-)

    • @2zwaantjes
      @2zwaantjes 9 років тому

      Ja, wat ik gezien heb van die contest stukken is prachtig. Maar er is 1 ding wat bij mij altijd meespeelt en dat is: zou ik het zelf dragen? En jewelry kan voor mij persoonlijk nooit TE opzichtig of opvallend zijn.
      Veel van de dingen die prijzen winnen is (in mijn opinie dan) meer voor de mooiigheid dan draagbaarheid. En wat jij maakt zou ik dragen. Niet naar de supermarket, maar wel voor iedere andere gelegenheid, en daar is het toch voor?? Nee Gianna, Jij, Sidonia, Zinnia (in die volgorde) en een paar Italiaanse UA-cam ontwerpsters zijn het neusje van de zalm,

    • @B4Pbakup

      Ja het moet wel onder "wearable art" vallen om op te vallen by FMG, zoiets hoef je met je patroon bij bead & button niet aan te komen LOL

    I think the straws in the US are a different size. I can't get mine to fit inside. I'm going to have to find something else. :-( But LOVE these, and VERY easy to make.

    • @B4Pbakup
      @B4Pbakup  9 років тому +1

      +Lori Quevedo no just cut a little piece out of the straw enough to make it fit. I have done some projects where I even cut my straw in half and shuffed it in, still works great to get the sturdyness :-)

    I'm a relative newby to beading, and have finally really mastered peyote in many forms. But I'm curious as to why the peyote tube is done with odd count, is it possible to do it even? I'm comfortable doing the odd count but I was just curious

    • @B4Pbakup
      @B4Pbakup  9 років тому

      yes you can do even but I did this because I did an earlier video doing off peyote the "easy" way and I wanted to teach people it the correct way now :-) On top of that odd is way cooler doing little patterns in the stitch :-)
