O it's been so many years since I've seen this kind of bead work. I used to watch my foster momma make thunderbird earrings this way, then learned how but so much trauma has happened and so many years have passed I've forgotten how. It was truly relaxing to watch. It just felt like being home.
Man I usually love doing tedious crafts but this one GOT ME SHAKING it's honestly kinda hard to start off! And the beads are so tiny but it's so beautiful! Thank you for the tutorial!
I listen to this type of tutorial at night with the sound off. Your tutorial is so good, I didn't even need to hear you explain it. You are an excellent teacher!! I just love this ring. Thank you so much for sharing your craft with us-❤❤❤
just purchased some pattern downloads from your site and i’ve begun working on one. it’s already turning out beautiful. thanks for making such awesome patterns
Wowwwwwwwww!!! What a beautiful stich! What a beautiful pattern! What a beautiful TEACHER to share your gift with us and show us how to make this ring!! TBH you had over 297,000 views!!! It should be at least 200,000 likes and near subscribers!!! THANK YOU for this tutorial. (And YES! I subscribed)!!!! lol
Wow. This is so cool. I always thought that the people that know how to do this are one of a kind. It seems impossible until you see it. Thank you for sharing. ✨🙏♥️
I bought quite a few pieces of pearl jewelry while in Cape Town / South Africa, a few years ago. There were some that came to the conference I was at, to offer their beautiful work to us participants and they had a lot of work with them. I saw the same type of things in stores there too, but it all was in a slightly smaller beads than she uses here. The type of beads aren’t all uniformly made though like the ones she uses here. The beads are slightly rounded. I think the diameter is about the same, but those she uses here are taller than the ones in the necklaces, earrings etc. I bought some of.
I have found your channel through this video and I'm so glad I did! I'm just about to start my beading journey and you make it look so easy! Your channel seems to be a gold mine of beading tutorials and information. Not only that but the sound and video quality is great! I'm excited to go get some materials soon and start. Edit: forgot to say thanks.... Thanks for the tutorial!
Thanks, I haven't picked my beads up forever. I needed something simple to pull me back in. It might actually be better to stop at the smaller size, because beadwork always stretches ❤
Oh, this is killing me! I do NOT need a new hobby, but I’ve always been interested in beading and after watching this video I just might be popping by a local craft store & picking up some beginner-level supplies. I love the idea of small projects like these rings to start with. (I actually went on Etsy and bought a couple of peyote stitch rings in the hope of satisfying my curiosity, but it didn’t work. I’ll give those rings to my sister for a birthday present!😂 Look what you did!😅
Lol! It easy to get hooked but I also think beading can be very meditative and calming so you can think of it as a good thing you are doing for yourself. 😃
Wow thank you for explaining this way. I have been looking at different videos and none explain like yours. I am going to do and once’s again thank you.
Thanks a lot for this video (which out of the blue came in my feed)!!! I didn’t know I needed this, but actually I think that is something I’ll enjoy. Also, I think it would be cool to make bracelets and rings using traditional knitting patterns!!! It would be real cool for small card purses, makeup bags etc. too… Small trinket boxes? Lots of neat small items, e.g. also matchboxes for by the fireplace at home or at the family cabin… Etc etc… The fantasy sets the limits, I’m sure… One could also use the beads that kids us for beading, only sew with thicker thread, maybe (yarn?) and make larger things. Imagine cool sofa pillows, toiletry bags, diary cover etc. etc. SMH, I got going there, didn’t I, LOL… I’ll stop now!!! But, thanks a lot again, I think this is brilliant!!! I’ve always wondered how it was done. I thought it was woven… 🤗
Great tutorial!!! I am going to put this video to use once I get my s-lon thread. I'm afraid the nymo thread I have won't be strong enough for rings. Thank you again!!!❤
New subbie here. You really messed my mind up when you added color beads.😂 I was searching out how to restring my N.A. necklace but now YOU have gotten me interested in small bead work. Now, I gotta go get supplies for this 'new' craft and it's ALL YOUR FAULT! 😣😂🥰
Hahaha! It’s true, you don’t need a loom. But I should point out that this stitch lines up more like a brick inside of straight lines like a loom. You can still create amazing patterns though. 😀
ahhhh very good point! I am so enamoured with the idea of being able to whip something out on the fly! I'll definitely be trying this technique :D @@snailsandfairydust
beautiful rings! I've made four so far. I'm using FireLine microfused braided bead thread, and Miyuki Delicas; but all of the rings have stretched. I'm making sure I'm pulling tight every stitch, but they alwas stretch after a couple of wears. Any suggestions?
Yes, definitely. Here’s a link to a video I have for a peyote stitch bracelet Beaded Bracelet Tutorial with Odd Count Peyote Stitch and FREE PATTERN ua-cam.com/video/twgMWxywndE/v-deo.html
Very beautiful! I’m so new to this and I love these but at the end you really sped up and it’s a little hard to see what you’re doing. Do you have more of these tutorials or is there any advice you can give me to help me improve? Thanks!
Hi, first of all, thanks for watching. I have another video which uses the same stitch but the project is a bracelet instead. I'll link it below - with that one there is also a free pdf on you can download from my website to follow along. Hope that helps.
Hello! I bought Woven beaded rings. I love your patterns. I cant find Word chart on every ring. Why is that so? I think its easier to follow the Word chart. Best Regards from Sweden
I can do this stitch but when it comes to using colors and patterns I'm lost. I want to make one of these rings with the pattern of the Jamaican flag but my brain won't let me

If you double your nymo, it should do fine. Try one, wear it, see if it goes fuzzy at the edges.....if so, it would be a no-go.
Luck!!

If you’re working on a loom, it’s loom stitch. Not peyote. Peyote is a beadweaving stitch, not a loom stitch.
@@deekang62449 m😅nths later still finding this useful thankfully only spent 3$ on my loom board for beginner
Peyote much more durable than loom stitch.
