My Diner was inspected by Santiago as well.
That guy got around!
Great pinball game.
Thanks for all of your great videos!
very good video, I like your showroom also. keep up the good work. thank you
Thanks Jay, we appreciate you watching! See you on the next video!
Don't forget to remove the hi voltage fuse on power supply for the displays. Don't need that anymore.
i know this comment is older, but i did exactly that when i installed LED displays on my 1980 firepower
Love all your videos! Cool attitude and deep knowledge in unity! Cheers from Norway!
Thanks Hak, you're Irreplaceable!
Top Job Joe !!
I have a Pinbot, its damn awesome !!
Definitely!
It kind of shocks me that they just left those bridges without a fuse, unlike everything else. Perhaps it was an oversight? I can't imagine it would be cost cutting, fuses are pretty cheap.
Yeah I really think it was an oversight, they weren't really cutting corners on the electronics at that point at least.
What I remember from playing this game a lot in the 80's is that it was all about picking off the center targets (which led to a lot of lost balls coming down the middle of that wide-open playfield. So at least for me, that meant a LOT of holding the ball on the flippers. Would all of that holding contribute to burning out the flipper coils?
It shouldn't, if the flipper end of stroke switches were properly adjusted. Basically to flip there's two coils, but once the flipper is up one of the coils turns off so it doesn't burn up, the other coil is a weaker one that can stay on indefinitely.
@@LyonsArcade Got it, thanks. And thanks for the video. This game was in a bar next door to where I worked when I was in college. My after-work routine was a pitcher of beer and a couple dozen games of Pin-bot. :)
My pinbot was Inspected by F. Hard! I kid you NOT!
I KNEW IT! They're probably still laughing about those damn tags...
I recommend you actually use 89's under the visor. The brighter 1251's WILL melt the visor over time.
I think you got them backwards, the #89 bulbs are only 14v and burn very bright if you put them where the 1251's are supposed to go, because those sockets get 28volts. The 89's are 8 watts too where the 1251's are only 6watts...
For the ... my pinbot was inspected by none other than F. HARD! Yea baby!
LOL They had to be pranking the boss, and he was too out of it to know what was going on, lol
I am not sure about the LED displays but I do know that if you put in the ribbon cable the wrong way the displays just come out a garbled mess and did not blow the displays.
Like I said though not sure on the LED displays but I am thinking they too would just be garbled mess and might be fine after switching the to the correct way around.
I think you're correct....
Nice Pin Bot it has same board system as my Fire! Is a sys11A , I had short on my old displays also and then have buy new LED display , nice thing on dis new LED display it run only on 5V insted old ones they use 110V 😎
Yes I imagine it actually lowers the amps the game is running at too but hard to say, probably saves you money on electricity....
I want that machine but I can't afford it as I live on Disability and it was my most favorite pinball machine of all time.
me too
@@TheBreathez I wish it was made for computer .
@@denisgosselin7383 That would be awesome!
@@TheBreathez Yes it would be totally Awesome
do you have some footage of replacing the knocker on PinBot. I recently bought one that had the knocker removed. I have a new knocker assembly kit but do not know where I need to reconnect it to the board/harness. Thank you in advance!
I haven't really done a video on it, but you should have two wires running over to where it mounts, are your wires still there? On the coil there will be a diode and one side will have a band on it, the power wire goes on that side, the ground wire hooks up to the other side of the diode. The thicker wire is the power wire.... You can email me some pictures if you want and I can show you where it goes. Thanks for watching Molar Medic!
@@LyonsArcade ty very much! I do not see the wires. The previous owner totally removed the knocker. I have a new knocker. It has diode on it already. AE-23-800 Just not sure where to run the wires to connect to the main board.
i want a blow up doll look-a-like pinball machine , my blow-up doll just farted and took of to do a orbit around my chandelier and now i need a new one
do you ship to holland lol
