  • Here is short review of my 2017 honda grom, I bought it second hand with a little under 2,000 miles on it.
    I've had it since 2018 and been using it for doordash, ubereats, caviar,grub hub and postmates.
    It's been very reliable and fun.

      Mechanic at the honda dealer said that groms with BBK are the ones coming in for repairs, best to keep it stock.

    How did you mount the box to the back? How secure is it? I've thought about doing this setup for a while now before I buy the Grom.

      I bought a vagabond rear rack for the 2nd gen grom and bolt it the box to it, it's super easy and super secure.

      @two_wheels_dasher Thank you. I was also wondering how does this perform going up steep hills? Do you need a running start or can you start on the hill?

      Oil changes in between 2,000 and 2,500 miles.

    Did you replace the chain and did you have to adjust it frequetly?

    • @Two_wheels_dasher
      @Two_wheels_dasher  2 місяці тому

      I replaced it once for a heavy duty one at the honda dealer. Original chain didn't last long. And new chain did not needed that much adjustment but I always cleaned and lubed the chain that's why it lasted me for so long.

      Nope, I asked the mechanic at the honda dealer and he said if it's not making a noise there is no need to replace it.
      Currently I'm at a little over 54k and still no problems at all, untouched engine.
      Only time I open the engine is to clean the centrifugal filter and that's every 7k miles.

    • @Two_wheels_dasher
      @Two_wheels_dasher  Рік тому

      Hard to decide but I would go with 3rd gen just because it's got the oil filter.
      On mine every 7k miles I have to open the engine to clean the centrifugal filter which is easy to do but time consuming.
