I hope they don't gentrify the grom. Bikers call small bikes toys (while they commute and run errands every day) then taking their "real bike" out for Sunday ridesies to nowhere 😅 big bikes are toys. Small bikes hold to world together
I used to own a 2019 Grom. Heavy modded with 181cc complete kit. Loved that little thing! Had to sell it. But would love to own 1 again. Honestly I'm not a big fan of the latest design.
Looks are looks, none of the years stand out... they're Groms, small little bikes with loads of character that will leave most people with a smile on their face. I started riding 60 years ago, exploring first in the dirt and eventually on the street. These little bikes are loads of fun, can take you almost anywhere, cost peanuts to run and will just about run for ever. What's not to love?
Why change it if it’s good? The 25’ Grom has nice body panels but it’s good to know the mechanical parts and accessories are interchangeable with the older model.
25 looks better by far IMO old plastics were dated, I do wish they upgraded the terrible headlight can't see much at all with it and more CCs would be great but I'm sure there is a reason they left it a 125, buuuut Honda if you are listening maybe a GROM R is in order maybe a 250 lets gooo
The new body panels look more streamlined than the 22-24 models, but I wouldn't trade up if you already have a 22-24. I wish Honda would up the compression on these to 11:1 to get the power up to 10-11 crank HP.
I like the 25 groms I really never liked the exposed bolts on the earlier models it just killed the entire bike for me. But this one I might trade my old 19 grom for a 25. That SP is doing something for me and I can't resist.
I have the 2025 and it’s cool and all I always did rather the older looks as in the one you have but you’ll really feel for the newer look it’s not bad
Got the ‘25 ABS a couple weeks ago and really liking it, I tried the 16-20 first and then a 22-24 and my knees hit the tank cover in a sharp way and I’m only 5’11” so it wasnt very comfortable for me personally, I will say the ‘25 is a lot better in that aspect, with the 16-20 being second best and 22-24 last, otherwise it’s basically the same from what I can tell(from a comfortability standpoint) . Also wasn’t a fan of the big washers myself but not hating, just wasn’t for me, 25 hits all the marks in my book. And it wasn’t used so I didn’t have to worry about how the last owner treated it 😅 very happy with the purchase!
"I regret nothing about that purchase" - that's my man right there! Same here, I regret nothing about buying a second hand 2023 grom. 2025 model brings absolutely nothing relevant to the table.
I have had a 2019 CBR650R since launch. (Have Vin 000001) have put 15k miles on it and absolutely love that bike. Recently picked up a 25 Grom SP and 24 Navi for my gf and I for $6800 otd. I’m actually loving the Grom just as much as the CBR. Just waiting on the $ for aftermarket parts. Lol.
So quick question. I sat on a grom YEARS ago like when they first came out. I felt that my feet were almost behind my ass in the seating position. So I never got one. Years later I got a Benelli 135 and fit perfect on it (I’m 6’3). Seating position was great, handlebars never hit my knees even at full tilt, had more cc’s and an extra gear than the from. Plus it was cheaper. The exhaust from the factory sounds sick as well. Would totally recommend. However I sold that bike a couple years ago and am wanting to get another bike. I haven’t sat on a grom in years and need to run by my local shop to see if the seating arrangement has changed since my first time sitting on one. You said you’re a “big guy” in the vid, how tall are you? Just wondering how the seating position is for a big guy until I can get my ass on one locally to see for myself.
Kirk, you should check the Husqvarna Vitpilen, a really cool looking motorcycle. They have 125, 250, 401 versions, not sure which ones they have in USA. There might also be a 200 version internationally.
Honestly, why would you buy a older model when the new one costs the same? Also on a side note: You shouldn't be doing this review Kirk, you seem to talk too much trash about the bike. Get rid of it to someone who will appreciate it.

😜
Totally agree the grom is the best commuter price, reliability, looks and fun

The 25 only goes 57 before it redlines
Just bought mine new of the show room floor just wish they had a 6th gear would be nice
It’s crazy how well they hold their value. The body styling doesn’t sell me on the new model over a used model. I’m on a green 19sf
Ride on brother
Or sister
‘25 plastic will fit ‘22-‘24, but you must change all body panels ( cannot mix triangle with new tank shroud). 🤙
You should make a video on your opinion of the top 10 best beginner motorcycles including pros and cons of each bike.

Any issues with the known transmission noise?

i put a throttle tube on mine..helps w/ the over twist on the wrist.

Hoping Yoshi releases a new high mount exhaust like the limited edition titanium dual they did a couple years ago since that’ll fit the belly fairing.

I'm 6'1, 200lb. Grom fits me fine. It's more comfortable than the scl500.
I prefer the 4th gens. I think they look great!
Do they have transmission issues like the 3rd gens?
I wish they had a 150 cc grom

401 comes to America. Gorgeous bike!
The Husqvarnas are Chinese made crap just like the KTM.
Yellow 22 and orange 24 are thee best looking colors on these ever next to the sf higlighter yellow
25 model have different ecu, Dh motoring wrote an article about it.
I have a ‘23 Grom and wish Honda would make it 6 gears
Would love a Yamaha super Tenere and can am spyder rt limited review!
I would rather get an rps condor, cheaper and with a bigger engine, but I do want the mt09
why the groms tank so pointy, the inside of my knee always bruised lol
Did "Yoshimitsu" almost slip bro? 4:11 TEKKEN
yes for 2025
Cool
i wish they could make go like 80mph. i feel i would get bored quick just driving in the city but idk they do seem fun to have.
Honestly, why would you buy a older model when the new one costs the same? Also on a side note: You shouldn't be doing this review Kirk, you seem to talk too much trash about the bike. Get rid of it to someone who will appreciate it.
Damn u paid almost a.grand over msrp for a used one? With no regrets! 2025 looks far better too.
Your tail tidy is illegal.
25 looks like a boom vader
I saw some loser popping wheelies on my street on one of these. So dangerous. Think of the children. ☠️💀👹
What a Loooooser!
It was me 💪🏿🤫🙊
