Where does this project stand now? I started my adventures in speeduino a year ago building my ecu ahead of a build. As of today it runs! Anxious to pair up with this speedy knock.
Heck yeah! I'm definitely interested in how this goes. I'll be converting to Speeduino this summer (MS2 is getting boring, no more development, and MS3 is closed) and I'd love to add one (or two!) to my inline 6. Keep up the good work!
MS started off a a cool project and after all the free help turned into a commercial product that is just as expensive and nowhere near as good support as the pro ECUs. Now it's just a way to make few a-holes money.
I've got my EJ22 running in my old wagon. I'm really looking forward to having some kind of knock control! Subaru engines are not a fan of knock at all. Det cans are handy, but being able to tune closer to the edge would be lovely.
Wow such amazing work you have done. im a red seal tech and im looking at getting into engine tuning. i love the idea of opensource software and hardware. thanks for sharing
ohcrap, speeduino got Srsly SERIOUS! ... last I looked it could only do 4 inj and 4 ign and had to have an external wb02. ... also remember diddling with this chip ona vems and using ferd's 4.9l knock sensor (and frequency tune from internet). it worked very well and helped me tune the ignition map.
So it appears as it has been a while since anyone has posted. We are all wondering how this is progressing I know. Please update us on this. I know I will be needing a knock sense/control for my project.
*** PLEASE HELP **** im simply after an approximate RPM from a knock sensor with an arduino.... nothing else. the knock gives a lot of 'noise' and difficult to just get approximate RPM from. i am trying a comparitor going to a schmitt and then arduino pulse time frequency counting.... works perfect with a function oscillator..... very accurate..... but then on a knock sensor.... eeeek! too much noise.... any ideas?
I was wondering the same. Looks like he’s using the TPIC8101. Actually I’d like to see how all 3 of those compare w.r.t. sensitivity and signal/noise ratio. The measure of a knock systems is how well it correctly classifies real knock from false knock across a variety of situations.
I also went for an arduino+tpic8101 design for my MS2 (knock window tied to crank position) years ago, but never finished :(. If I may request a feature that would be an auto treshold calibration at low rpm: 1.) An artificial knock would be introduced at low RPM. 2.) a ratio of knock/no knock level is measured in knock window 3.) you can propagate this ratio whole RPM range to have an RPM based treshold curve.
Hi Josh, I'm pondering a single cylinder 2 stroke, ignition mapping and knock sense, be very keen to chat some time and run some ideas past you. Cheers Richard Harcourt
awesome can wait for the beta boards, whats the sensor of choice, been mapping to today my sprint car at llandow track here in the uk its running speeduino love it
I'm super anxious for this release. Good work as always Josh
You're the man, you said it all, "one of the most requested".
I sure hope you're able to get this into our hands. We sure need it. Thanks for all your work on it so far!
Brilliant! I want one and don't even need one! But looks great and functions great as well

That's great! This will be a great addition to the diy community. I can't wait! Thank you Josh!
love the bodge wire
Now this just needs to communicate via can bus. Great work

Beautiful job, greatings from Brazil.
Seriously impressive. Huge fan of your work

Suburus engines aren't even a fan of life

That's awesome! I've been trying to find info on anyone doing a project like this; didn't think it'd be from someone familiar!
Can't wait for more

Josh é o cara ! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Hi Josh,
i will be very keen to purchase and test one of these units on my Speeduino as soon as they are ready for release.
Great work Josh 👍🏼
Nice solder job on that dodge. :p
Looking forward to adding this to my speeduino, thanks for the update.
P.S. ditch the music.
This looks Great!
Looks great
Wonderful work. I wanna be just like you. 😃
awesome work . keep it up
Outstanding!!!!
incredeble what you are doing!!! Wil order my speeduino this year, first get the stock car on paper, after that the tuning can begin🤘

which IC you use as a base?.. the TPIC1801?, the AN9770?, the PROSAK IC?, or other?...
@@Speeduino IT WOULD BE GOOD TO COMPARE THE SENSITIVITY AND THE DETECTION RESPONSE AGAINST A PROFETIONAL EQUIPMENT

josh, how is the knock project now? and thanks for what u are doing for the world and the really good educations!!!
Where is the knock on display ??? I so only engine noises !!!
@@Speeduino I think it would be more understandable if you showed it on video real detonation ... thanks ...
Good work. Do you have the schematic and code? I can't find in the wiki speeduino. Thank you very much

Soooooooo cool!!!!!! 🔥😎
Hi Josh,
have you considered releasing this at all.
This looks really interesting, is there any news on the development?
hmm a knock kontroller is more important then EFI. when you set up a engine system.
awesome can wait for the beta boards, whats the sensor of choice, been mapping to today my sprint car at llandow track here in the uk its running speeduino love it
Any updates on this?when it'll be available?
Any progress on this?
Anyone got any updates
Hello josh, did this ever come to fruition? I'm very much in the need for one
Any news on the availability, i would love to pre-order.
I'm sure this will be available soon 😂
Look really good - would this work with a multi cylinder two stroke engine ?
So what will be the Rev limit and great work Josh
Nice job, when it will be for sale?
Yes!!!!.
does it have an output available to tie it in to speeduino to use as an ignition retard for knock correction?
Hey josh how is it up with the project?
Is this available?
Any news about a beta version ?
Can you buy these?
