@Vrinez sollte Fakten aber Shakespeare nennen, dann was zu seinem Sprachstil und typischer Elemente und noch ne Analyse von eins seiner Sonette, hoffe das hilft bissel 🕵🏽♀️
Thank you for the video, I am aswell as the top comment from Germany and I am doing my a levels in 2 days and there is a possibility that Shakespeare is gonna be the topic, which is exactly the topic that dealt me the most pain in all my 3 years of a levels. Now, I can recognize the pattern that we never discussed, as we always went line by line, and here you explain it in a way that makes it way easier, as you can choose lines from the first 2 quatrains which you understand most, to explain the whole sonnet! Brilliant. Thank you :)
My 2021 pledge is to read and write as much poetry as I can. To see how much I can develop what little skill I have. I’m looking at different styles, and am attracted to the structure of the English sonnet. The fixed form gives fascinating boundaries within which to work. So this was a really nice introduction! Thank you
Hello! I've been a big fan of Shakespeare since I was a kid. Now I'm reading all the sonnets for fun and this video os really enlightening! Awesome job!
I still need to watch the new Macbeth! I don’t tutor online at the moment. With teaching full-time, it would just be too much. Is there a topic you’d like me to cover in future videos?
When the volta comes, I'm assuming it means he's kind of moving closer to the object of the poem, or to whom the poem is about? I'm new at this, so I apologize if my question sounds dull.
No, that’s actually a great question! From the sonnets I remember, they tend to get more specific rather than universal at the volta, often pivoting to the person the sonnet’s inspired by, like you said.
Hi Carly iam Hamid from Morocco country I study English at first year in university of literature and I find sonnet 18 for Shakespeare hard and else I can't understand well poetry moreover I need some help from you carly

I'm a non-native English speaker getting acquainted with Shakespeare's sonnets for the first time and this has been incredibly helpful. Thanks!
I’m so glad! 😁
This is my very first time reading William Shakespeare, and I'm loving him already through his poetry. I am currently reading his sonnets.

P. S. As a David Tennant fangirl, you recommending his reading made me feel giddy but also, I understand its relevance.
