- Can you believe this is the first time I've actually gotten automarried to Chrom?
7th playthrough is the charm, I suppose. (and I should note: the previous six times? I married Chrom, lol)
27:11 for the automarriage scene if you just want to skip to it.
I like how during the confession scene everyone else just bolts out of the fight like " ruuun, they're having a special moment!"

I like Byleth a lot. They're interesting in their own way and have a lot of potential for different fandom interpretations. But Robin telling Chrom how much it would have hurt her to lose him, and that she wants to "be selfish" and love him, has a lot more emotional impact than "..."
This actually happened to me by accident in my playthrough of the game and it blindsided me.
I wanted my character to marry Gaius on my first run but by this chapter, Chrom put a gun to my head and forced me to marry him. On the bright side, I got a ridiculously good Lucina.
“Will you marry me?”
“Yeah.”
“Good.”

@Bailey Law Don't think that as the canon wife. Think it as the easy-to-grab wife while F!Robin is canon.
Tecnically Chrom x Sumia was never supposed to happen. The reason it’s canon is because a few people on the Dev team didn’t want to deal with Robin having two forms since they didn’t want Chrom x M Robin. Plus while they were writing some of the support lines (After Marriage) it was way too adult for a Teen game (They could not come up with anything below that.) so they scrapped a lot of stuff. In the end, although most of the team liked the ship they had to scrap it which is why it’s semi-canon.

I was kinda forced into the marriage, I always paired up with Chrom because it felt more natural since they both are the protagonists.

When you look up chroma cannon love interest it always appers as Sumia when in reality if you chose the female unit it’s robin but when you choose male robin it’s Sumia so in reality female robin is the actual character gender and the male is the second option (not trying to sound sexist) idk if. I made a point in that I’m just explaining what basically happened during the plot of both routes
Technically speaking, since alternate timelines and universes are canonical for FE, all pairings are canonical in one way or another.

This was better than the supports. ...
The supports are just for comedy's sake. After all the main story is about them growing closer over the course of 3 wars and later, killing a God. Plenty of drama in the main story so I don't mind some goofiness sprinkled in here and there
That is what I normally do when I play this chapter. I don’t go for the S support and do this confession at the end
27:11 this cutscene has only played once for me. I’ve beaten the game a few times with this paring. Is it randomized?
This only happens under certain conditions.
1) Robin has to be Chrom's closest *available* love interest (you can either make sure Chrom never gets any hearts with other women or S rank the other women off to whatever partners you prefer them to have if they're available before this chapter) 2) They can't be S ranked yet.
This works this way because Chrom has to be married before the next chapter, so he'll pick himself a wife based off a priority list (choosing a generic maiden if no one is available)

Chrom always gets married by the end of this chapter if he's not S ranked to someone. If there are no Shepherds available he marries a generic villager.
Who he marries depends on available candidates, their current rank with him, and a list of priority if they're all even matched.
@@karkashan Ah, okay. I thought I could only get him to S rank before this chapter or he’d marry Sumia. That kinda makes the support grinds unnecessary-

How did you trigger this? I'm curious
Chrom automatically marries someone at the end of this chapter, like you see here. To guarantee a choice the safest bet is to get all the other choices married off (Olivia may join in the chapter but you've basically got to waste six or seven turns having her dance for Chrom to get that to work, so if you're aiming for a Robin mance that shouldn't be an issue as long as Chrom and Robin have reached A support)
i wish you could do this for male robin 😞
