- Another winner from Asvine. Great EF nib. Looks fabulous, very well made. I LOVE it.

First P20 Review - • Asvine P20 Piston Fill... - Навчання та стиль
I have had one of these in purple since last November. It is quite eye catching, and performs admirably with a M nib. These resins are simply beautiful, and feel more costly than the price. Mine is quite nice. I would buy another but I fight my FP buying impulses. (I bought a Conklin at the Chicagoland Pen show last week, and "buyer's remorse" assails me.)
I have the Amber for a while now and just ordered the Galaxy, hopefully it will look as good as the Amber. Great review Mr. CR52
I ordered the Amber P20 nib. Can't wait to get it!
Good choice!
That's a pretty sweet writing EF! I always appreciate the addition of 'O' rings on the nib housing ... nice!
Very sweet indeed!
It's very nice that Asvine, unlike PenBbs, produces Galaxy and Amber in the right quantities, and everyone can buy their favorite color.
These always come across my AliEx feed. Thanks for reviewing them. I’ve been curious!
Love mine! I have both the amber and a blue one. Writes incredibly well! May the treat earn you a loving reward! :)
It's always great seeing your reviews - thanks!
Thank you for watching & being involved.
My amber Asvine is on the V129. Lovely demonstrator. My P20 is a marbled blue resin.
I also like EF nibs, especially from Asvine. Very smooth.
So far, every Asvine pen I own performs very well.
Great review, Chris.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. These are very good pens.
Honourable Sir,
My sincere regards and thanks for this unseconded review. Looking forward to buy one for me with a medium nib version. Thanking you.
Sumit.
I agree. Thank you for your reply.
You're welcome
How comfortable are the threads at the section? I hold my pen incorrectly and rest the pen on my ring finger. Some cap threads are almost imperceptible like my Wing Sung 699 vac while others really bother me because they dig into/rub the ring finger. Thanks for your informative videos!
Great review. I have the Galaxy in Fine and Amber in Medium, Pilot Namiki Black ink. The medium (IMHO) writes better. It throws down more ink, is smoother (you'd expect that) and has just the right amount of feedback. My Fine does not seem to throw down as much ink as your Extra Fine. I'll use the Fine when I need to write smaller, but the goto pen will be the medium, it just writes better (note there is little to discern between the Fine and Medium nibs in line width). Having said that, the Fine is not a bad writer, it's really quite good, I just ATM prefer the Medium.
i've gone back to a pen I didn't like & wrote & said this is OK. Mostly due to ink (it changes over time in the pen) & paper & how I am writing (which also changes over time). I'm happy we have many pens we enjoy using.
Hi Chris! A very fascinating and interesting fountain pen model, thank you for this review. While for the EF nib I have great doubts. You take a very valid writing test precisely because it is also done on squared paper. The EF nib should have a stroke very similar in size to the lines of the squares; here in my opinion we have an F trait. The Chinese EF nibs of Moon Man and Wing Sung, for example, render much better.
I also add the EF Picasso nibs which, with their power supply, have excellent overall engineering and make the stroke effectively EF and continuous.
Thanks for the review. Exactly what I needed. I have been looking for a fairly large affordable pen with a smooth wet ef nib to use on Rhodia A4 dotpads. EF nibs are a neglected part of my collection..
Glad I could help!
Excelente presentación, una pluma muy bonita (un seguidor desde España).
Gracias. Asvine está haciendo unos bonitos bolígrafos. Disfruté de mi visita a España hace muchos años.
I miss your usually very informative rating. Without it, I hesitate buying this pen.
The ratings became too subjective for me. I love almost all pens I have. I hope the review allows you to decide if you like the pen. I provide lots of views for you.
I am confused. They say in p20 the medium nib is 0.5mm and in site they say medium 0.7 what is correct;
Based on line, I'd call it 0.7. Probably a typo as 0.5 is usually a fine.
Ooh, strange...my comment evaporated. Technology...Hah! Will you be reviewing other pens purchased by or for your girlfriend? And did you get her into the pen habit, or was her pen hobby a factor in your choosing one another? None of my business, clearly, so feel free to tell me to buzz off. Nice material on this model, and it's interesting to learn how smooth the ef nib performs, Thanks for another good review, Chris.
She enjoyed fountain pens before we met. Now she enjoys more of them.
An attractive pen indeed. Chinese manufacturers have upped their game in the last three years. Possibly they made large profits from the fountain pen revival across the world, and folk ordering more stuff during the earlier stages of Covid.
Not sure about large profits. When I convert the Chinese price on labels, it is usually less than the price we pay in dollars. Agree that pens are more popular.
@@chrisrap52 I was thinking purely in terms of the numbers produced.
I would expect sales within China are 100s times sales outside China.
I bought one with EF nib. Writes quite well but I do not understand why they are using this complicated and stupid piston filler.
It's a piston filler, same as many others.
