    You did a great job making this video. Nice work!
    So about that replacement ribbon cable…it uses GLUE to attach the display to the circuit board? It is not solder? Or do the ribbon cable pads have solder on them as well, which melts when you use the T-Tip on the soldering iron?

    No not possible to reuse old ribbon. Initial cause for dead pixels is the tracks on ribbon cable broken. New ribbon cable must be instaled.

    Fascinating stuff. On mine, there are no wrong pixels, but the clock part of the display is dark 99.99% of the time. Only very rarely it shows, so some connection is loose/wobbly, I guess? Do you have any idea what could be the cause?

    Well, that didnt work
    I purchased ribbon cables from amazon and soldering tips
    I am pretty handy guy but this repair was unsuccessful. I cleaned very well and I aligned correctly. I dont know if m amazon ribbon cable was garbage but this did not work for me
    I went from few missing pixels to missing 95% of them
    0 stars. Would not recommend
