IMPORTANT PATCH CHANGES TO WEAPONS!! (v1.12.3) As of today (4th June 2024) the Top 2 weapons have had a slight nerf, especially the Number 1 weapon but they still do significant damage, just you cannot use the broken method of using the weapon on the floor infront of the enemies to deal the broken damage anymore! The weapon at number 2 has had it's arcane scaling changed with the bleed affinity applied and will not do as much bleed proc anymore. As I say, they are still very useful/can be powerful when used correctly, they just aren't as broken anymore so might fall down the pecking order when it comes to a "Top 5" weapons list from now on lol
@@ThatsThatOnThat I just tried it and they do 4/5k damage (in base game NG+7) which is still good for what it’s worth - with the build I showed you can also do around 1500 damage with light attacks with them too :)
But it is really cool if you’re better than me and can pull the full thing off - it still does a load of dmaage tho because of the bleed build up and it’s one of my favourite katanas to use right now :)
I’ve done some testing with the rellana build and found that it actually synergyses really well with the end boss weapons and actually is basically the same just that I’d recommend some talisman changes and more endurance and higher concentration on strength by a little bit

Been using rellanas twin blades myself with shard of alexander, winged tali and millicents prostetic...probably gonna add rellanas cameo too. Super cool
Probably not the best weapon for it but cragblade sacred black steel great hammer with the deflect tear is super cool to look at while also being forgiving on the deflects thanks to the high guard boost. Plus it gets a cool bonus effect on guard counters for insane stance damage

Man I was havin fun with perfume bottles just runnin around and killin mobs of small enemies, cant do that with perfume anymore since people wanna complain about it, I dont see why they cant just have it to where you cant use broken shit in pvp but still allow it in pve, really shouldnt be that hard to separate the 2. Not only that what did fromsoft think was gonna happen when they added pvp to a MAINLY PVE game where people will actively look for broken builds and what not? Like be fr just dont allow broken shi to be used in pvp and they wouldnt have to nerf shi for pve
Honestly rellana’s twin blade is sick af but it’s a crappy sonaf, ancient meteor greatsword is absurdly strong, although you’ll have to sacrifice defense for damage cuz it weighs a shitton, but honestly dlc enemies 2 shot you anyways so….

@@tkcjazza W I’ve used so many of your builds over the year or so I’ve been playing and I’ve been trying to make a build for my backhand blades and I mean it’s a good build but your builds are always amazing and I’ve been having a lot of fun with them so I’m just waiting for one 😭

You guys that post these 'amazing builds that destroy' videos need to also put what NG you're on (if you're no NG at all) as I'm on NG5 & these builds would get you destroyed.
This is pretty much the only video I haven't mentioned it in the actual vid (which I know I should've done) - But footage is from NG+2/3 - All of the builds will be good for the later NG+'s and do hold up :)
The perfume build will not work for me. Got the exact build and get max 2000 damage. I’m not locking on and throwing towards the ground and still nothing
Are you using all of the buffs? And also check your scadutree fragment level it might not be high enough. Check if that helps because the same thing happened to me until I upgraded scadutree and then I could do 20k to radahn with different buffs
Backhand blades dual wielded with the bloodflame buff and flame buff is top tier. Using broken weapons is not the way to play a game and should only be used as a last resort in case you are struggling with anything. So,I think the backhand blades are one of the best weapons in the game if used correctly.
Yeah, Backhand Blades are super fun - Of course, these weapons are there to help people struggling as most of us got humbled very quick in the DLC but they can be fun to use still, especially the first 3 :)
I went through the game on a quality build with 25 faith, switching between the Rakshasa GK , quality backhand blades foe bosses and most enemies and DragonHunter GK for the dragon fights I then got faith to 30 so i could use blackflame protection towards the end with the buffs Never had trouble with any bosses, fun play through
I did the same thing almost. Quality with 25 faith. Except I took my 1st ever character who was lever 250 and I put all the extra points into arcane for item discovery so I can try to collect all drops easier, all the armor sets and weapons. And that sword makes dragons easier for me for sure. My problem was always hitting their head. So untill the dlc I would kill dragons slowly by attacking their feet forever. I gave up hitting the head. I would still try sometimes but it would always move and make a fool of me Because of high arcane tho, if I get stuck I can put bleed on things and it makes the weapon op. Or occult if it has bleed already. I put the extra points went into endurance just so I can carry more weapons to play with
@@AzAboveSoB3low he’s in that woods but can literally walk anywhere in that area so he might be closer to the cliff edge or closer to the church - he’s there and can blend in with woods as he’s not wearing any armour
I did try it many times in many different boss fights (both DLC & base game) I just simply preferred these weapons over that - don't get me wrong, it's a cool weapon and I will make a build video on it, just simply liked these more :)

I used the Rellana twin swords as soon as I got my hands on it. I was playing a pure caster build with 80 int and minimum req in all other stats. The magic version of the skill just feels so wrong to use. A 3 part cast, absurd stamina drain and the dmg is worse than my sorceries or any of my other Int melee choices (deaths poker, moonveil, wings of astel) Even at 16 Faith the fire version of the skill is still putting up work much better and consistently since it doesnt miss so easily like the magic waves, which clip into everything and silly auto target. Might respec later to fully enjoy this beatiful weapon

No the Perfume does not still do significant damage. 1-3k damage at max stats is absolute garbage. The weapons are done. Nerfed into oblivion
You’re wrong. The perfume bottles are basically useless after the nerf. They barely do any damage now. Not powerful at all anymore.

Renalas swords are mqybe the coolest weapons in the game. I wish the ash did a bit more damage though

Rellana's blades are pretty weak too imo. AOW is very long, but damage output just does not fit the time at all.

If you do use the blood fiends arm ( aka the chicken leg) there are also other attacks then charged attacks
But the charged heavy’s are where it’s at ;)
But ur leaving so many opertunities for damage with a quick light attack

Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana. Once I got my hands on it the DLC became easy mode.

Rellana's Twin Blades may not he the most OP, nor is it the best, but it's my all-time favorite of the DLC
