    2:21 Not used to public speaking, and wasn't paying enough attention to my own actions - the reason these didn't appear in the save file was that 0.05 is the default, only changing to a non-default time would cause a changed value to appear in the save file. This is a feature of the save file system I created, where file write/read is very limited, and optimized to happen only when needed. *Also, "Open Keypress Timings Menu" would have been far less of a tongue-twister had it occurred to me to use that phrasing.. as always, AVCS commands have 'nearly any way you can say it' ready so we don't need to memorize commands in a literal sense, only conceptually.

    Very impressive work. You’ve really thought through all of the details. Thank you very much for your effort.

    For example saying "request taxi for departure" works, but adding a callsign just before doesnt work, i.e "hammer3 request taxi for departure" or "Ground hammer3 request taxi for departure" any ideas ? I check the callsign list and they are listed, voice recognition is also picking it up correctly but comes back as " Unrecognized catch-all "

      As I replied to a forum post on BMS Forums: Absolutely anything said before the actual command of ‘taxi for departure’ will be discarded, and the actual command will be recognized. These are “wildcard” commands. The problem you are experiencing is a recognition issue - 'exit for departure' is not a command. You can try enunciating a bit more.
      If you have not trained your Windows Speech Profile (at least three times completely through the entire Speech Training session), that would be the place to start.
      Check out this VoiceAttack page, the section a little lower down “Train your speech engine”

    Very nice. Is there any tutorial for begginers? I saw some information in bms Forum and VA forum, but nothing like a step-by-step instruction.

      You can find out more about VoiceAttack on their website. My profiles for VoiceAttack have a command reference on voice command - just say, "Open the Command Reference". These include lists of all available commands and a brief description of their function, groups in categories of common functions.
      You can check out the command reference for the current version of AVCS4 BMS (at time of this reply, v1.41) here: veterans-gaming.com/semlerpdx-avcs/profiles/commref/bms41.html/

    Very Nice. Is it possible to use it even in multiplayer? Thanks

      Yes, absolutely! Still in the beta version, but wrapping up soon. If your entire flight is all human pilots, you can simply say, 'Enable All Humans Mode' to make sure commands like "2 Say Fuel" do not fire these keypress macros (since you're actually asking your friend who will come back over comms), while all the rest will remain functional such as AWACS through TOWER commands. When 'All Humans Mode' is not enabled, it will assume all pilots are computer controlled, but if a friend joins the 'Element Lead' position, for example, you can set this as 'Human' so that commands such as '3 Fence In' would not fire keypress macros, but '2 Fence In' or 'Flight Fence In' would fire keypress macros. This allows mixed humans and computer pilots in one flight where the voice recognition for commands is intelligent and intuitive to configure.
      Updates will be announced here: forum.falcon-bms.com/topic/16233/avcs4-immersive-voice-control-radios-for-voiceattack

    Is this works in 4.35?

    • @SemlerPDX
      @SemlerPDX  3 роки тому +1

      Yes - the radio menus seem to not have changed for 4.35, so everything is working fine as it was in 4.34 - if something doesn't work, do please let me know. Cheers! (and sorry for the late reply)

    My speech recognition works awful even if I have great pronunciation

      It is important to train your Windows Speech Recognition Profile, and it is recommended to complete the entire speech training session at least 3 times, more if you have a strong regional accent. My Australian friend had to run through it nearly a dozen times before recognition was consistent in his manner of speech, though that may be unique to him and his accent. You might consider starting fresh with a new Speech Profile, so you know you have a good starting point. Any time you buy a new microphone, or if your voice changes such as after surgery, you would want to start over with a new profile and train it up for your voice and your (new) microphone. These trained speech profiles belong to one user and the specific microphone they used to train it - changing either of those, or negating training, will result in poor speech recognition. Good news is once you have trained your speech profile, you can backup and save this as a file which you can subsequently import if you ever had to reinstall Windows, or whatever, so you don't need to start over from the beginning with training: www.dropbox.com/s/hjrelzx69tp73ts/Windows_Speech_Profile_Backup_Tool.zip?dl=1

    Are you planning to do a profile for dcs ATC

    • @SemlerPDX
      @SemlerPDX  3 роки тому +1

      I'm currently focused on the BMS radio menus, and because the VIACOM profile for VoiceAttack is just so beautiful, I'd feel like I was planting weeds next to flowers in the same garden if I were to create my own DCS entry. I do have a full control and immersion profile in the works for Elite: Dangerous, though I realize we call that a 'space simulator' very loosely, it is perfect for voice control immersion using my 'any way you say it' wildcard style commands. ... Also sorry for the late reply.
