Thank you! The APC's have no output limit, that's probably why this seemed odd to you - if they had a 5kW max draw it would indeed make small transformers in the example shown here redundant. They are used to regulate power such that if too many consumers were on the line, a brownout would be experienced instead of a blown fuse. But even still, in a real (sim) world scenario for in-base power distribution with 25kW input feeding multiple APC's and subsequent transformers to subnetworks in a building, you may have more than the 3 subnetworks shown in this example. @@robertnett9793 I know the game has been in early access for many years, and so much has evolved in that time span - I started playing about 3 weeks before my 'Base Tour' video on my channel, approaching two years (?!) by now. If it was different for APCs before that time, I wouldn't be aware of it. That said, even back then, iirc they had heavy cables and an APC limited to only 5kW would have made them useless for higher voltage networks over 5kW via heavy cables and medium (or greater) transformers. Either way, glad to have helped you identify the current functionality of APCs as they are so very useful. Being able to use them in a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) role as I demonstrate here is invaluable, and keeping a tiny battery in the APC of the lights network is fantastic utility in the event of a power systems issue because we can still use our airlocks to get to places we need to be in order to assess and mitigate those issues. There are many text-to-speech voices available for Windows, but by default, it only comes with a small selection of free voices included with the Windows OS. It really depends on what segment of the established market you want to appeal to. When we apply a current market analysis, we are seeing what the majority or mainstream audience expects, and add features to achieve 100% expected interest in that regard. If we disregard the market analysis, and move the pipper in the triangle above with random features we've added without consideration for the mainstream market, we will instead be targeting a sub-segment of that established market which will invariably be fewer people than the mainstream audience. Sure, you can make sales like this, but it will not be as good or successful as one targeting the mainstream audience of a software, and will not garner as many units sold over the same amount of time (all other things being equal).

It's been so exhausting, most days when I'm up late, I wind it down by 1-2am at the latest - last night after 2am feeding, couldn't get back to sleep until 4:30am, woke up at about 7am, an hour late for morning bottle. Definitely gonna take a nap between bottles today, been a whirlwind of baby proofing and getting their playroom setup -- all between potty accident cleanup and training, plain water bath time, and piddle-pad replacement. Luckily have an 80-pack of carbon activated puppy pads from a (non-pet related) home project years ago, now they are so valuable!! Take care brother!!

Even just liking the video and sharing it helps, but beyond that, the words of encouragement are absolutely invaluable to me right now - I feel a lot less alone in this mission, I can't describe how much it helps to not feel so alone right now ... and I'm not typically a lonely or self-pity type, but damned if I've not been emotional when I have to write their story for posts, and when I edited this video between bottle times, too. I have been running around like crazy cleaning and "nesting" in between caring for them. I finally realized that in the morning after I've slept, I need to sneak out to quickly get bottle ready and also make my coffee and breakfast - yesterday, I had carnation instant breakfast just to get something down during bottle time, but then I snapped up at 6pm realizing I never made my coffee and was drinking cold leftovers from the thermos since the day before. Also, this morning, I got a bathtub ready ahead of time with (cat) body temp water, and paper + cloth towels just in case, so it's less stressful if I need to clean a poopy bottom and legs after a messy first-bathroom before bottles. Go figure, after getting it ready, for once I didn't need to do morning baths and both had good poopies without issue. Still sometimes picking them up and placing them in the litter box because the stand just next to it, or see "that look" and tap the litter box and watch them walk in by themselves and start bathroom proper. Sometimes they do it on their own now, sometimes I have to help with a q-tip like "momma cat tongue", and sometimes I find accidents on the piddle pads. When they have an accident on the carpet, I clean it up and then put down a piddle pad - it's worked well so far. SO many piddle pads around now, lol. Thanks again! 😻❤

Yes, I didn't want to bring it up - I am doing "all" the momma things, some not so pretty. I have been helping them with that, and also they have been going to the litter box by themselves, and so I sit by and assist as needed. It all comes naturally to them so I just need to sometimes demonstrate, or notice "the pose" and gently lift them into the box, where they sit happy, and do the thing - and I step in if nothing produces so it does, which works very well. Had to have a few tepid clean water baths, the little pink nose girl three times, and the boy just once. I have an itty bitty tub I fill ahead of time with (cat) body temperature water, but then I'm also getting them used to the sound of gently running water, too, for the final rinse off. They LOVE towel time and as soon as they realize, "OH hey - that was actually kinda nice!", it's snuggles until dry and then playing. Thanks so much for your comment! <3

Thank you! I really did not want to just steal babies from their mommy, so just kept watching from afar ready to swoop in - I only wish I could have known sooner. They are so tiny - about 4/5 weeks old, the pink nose girl is just 14 ounces, and the boy is only one pound, though I was not able to weight on day 1 because none of my scales could work for them (I have one now, on loan from my uncle). I'm adjusting the KMR as directed and going to begin weaning them onto kitten food in another week or thereabouts.

You have quite an imagination, friend! LOL! These cute little buggers indeed came out of a stray feral or semi-feral cat from the neighborhood. Our property is rural, and fully fenced - on top of that, this shed door was locked and shut tight. The cat sliced through the screen and got inside - you can see this when the door is shown, that damage is new. They have indeed been around humans (now, a little) in that we've had to go in to get tools and having decided to leave the door open a crack for the mom, had to relocate one of them to their den in the back. This was when we decided to use the tub to allow the mom easy access but not let the little ones out. Don't worry, they'll be fine - we've seen or heard signs that mom returns each night - and if not, we'll find a shelter. 😸

I use Project Management Teams and all my Team Leaders have HR skillz ... I don't manage every single employee task. I create design documents and hand them to PM Teams, they do the rest. I also task contract teams on contracts, to build skills of low level hires to later hire from within. I only have to manage the team leaders, they manage the employees.

Large Transformers are required after the Large Area Batteries to step down the unregulated output for further use within the limitations of a heavy cable. To saturate that heavy cable after the Large Area Batteries, you will want to use two Large Transformers. These themselves consume 10W, and so you'll want to set each of their dials (at least) 10W lower than max - with two in such fashion, you will have a main heavy power line at max power. APCs function as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for the power line they serve. For example, a nuclear battery in an APC has nearly as much capacity as a Small Area Battery. If all your APCs have nuclear batteries, and you put a Small Battery in the APC of the network which all ceiling lights are powered by, and you have a power outage event, all your machines and devices and airlocks will continue to function while the lights-out signals very clearly a power issue that you now have time to troubleshoot and restore. Redundant fuses are a measure of safety and security, and not a means to control or account for the power coming out of their own transformer, but for other considerations down the road. As bases are built larger, and when some cable runs travel behind panels or through solid frames, and especially in multiplayer servers, redundant fuses can ensure that even human error such as crossing two cables accidentally when both have high draw devices resulting in a cable blow out will only occur at the primary distribution point, and not somewhere potentially hidden to hunt down.
