I dont see the back seat as a problem, if anyone sits back there ever its usually kids, and the few times an adult is there its not worth paying a lot more for a larger car, the hub caps make no difference to me,, I dont like low impact because if you hit a pot hole they can be a problem. its the perfect car for me! got one in March 23. and love it. and super good video! best
Overall it’s a solid vehicle congratulations and thanks for your owners insight 👍
Any issues with the car yet? What’s reliability like
Most steel wheels from the factory are quite cheap and begin to rust within a year or two.
Silly caption of the video. If you are a 6ft plus guy , then don't buy a corolla cross !!!!! go for a bigger car , common sense !!!!! It's a great car , I got the XLE Hybrid and it's awesome ..... no complain so far .
If a person is in this price segment, I don’t see anything silly about explaining the dimensions 🤷♂️
I’m 6 1 and have plenty of room. Test drove and was surprised by the room. I like driving with my knees bent like sitting in a chair. If you want to sit on the floor with your legs stretched all the way it won’t work.
My friend owns a Corolla and he’s 6’2, he has no problems with the dimensions.
I’m 6’6 and have plenty of room. It’s not a problem at all
It's Interesting how personal preferences are construed as general ones...
Nice review, but it doesn't make sense to complain about cost saving measures on a car and trim that's designed to save money. Some things just don't add value if you are tight on cash. If you have push start versus a key start, or steel wheels versus alloy... are you going to get to your location any later? you can even argue that keyed start is better since you don't have to drive with your keys in your pocket, which can be uncomfortable. Hard plastics are more durable and easier to clean... etc. Sometimes the fancier stuff is not a good idea.
Now, no rear wiper, no spare tire, etc??? That's something to complain about. Functionality should not be sacrificed.
Everyone can have their own opinions and nothing is wrong with that 👍
The rear wiper thing I’ve found it’s easier to just clean the rear no snow here so no use for it anyways. The key yes plus you’re signal can’t be hacked and stolen at the mall etc y pop u it can forget you have you’re keys and jumó in pool and still works no battery bs more reliable down the road i think these cars was designed to last a very long time. In 2 3 years with all the savings when it’s time to buy tires just get 4 oem reproduction rims or salvaged oem rims and that’s all
@@oscalsochirino8706Facebook Marketplace has all the good cheap parts you need.
I own the 2022 Corolla cross Excel and I love it could stand more room in the backseat but other than that to me it's a great SUV!!!
🎉 the my are awesome
My biggest complaint is the back seats dont fold down flat and leave a pretty big hump in the back cargo area making it difficult to haul things in the back. As soon as I discovered this I checked this vehicle off my list of ones to buy.
Thanks for your insight 👍
My biggest deterrent is that XLE cost about the same as CX5 or even CX50, and I rather have Mazda.
I purchase a L model 2 week's go, and I like everything, power , room, stile to me is perfect great Job Toyota 👍👍👍💯
They are nice vehicles congratulations
One year owner XLE-AWD, single person, has been an excellent vehicle for around town/travel & camping...
Thank you for your owners insight and 🎉👍
Nice review
Thank you
Toyota wasn't thinking back seat make smaller trunk so backseat move it back so you have more room for legs.
That is a great point
We just got this vehicle 3 weeks ago and I can tell you we agree with everything you state in this video.
Rear passenger room is the biggest downside.
Congratulations 🎉 and thank you 👍
I don’t sit in the back when I drive no problem .
@@donaldpiper9763
Just got this last year brand new, the gas mileage is amazing, super comfy ride
Thanks for sharing and congratulations
I'm ready to take out the back seat and make it my long term camping/travel vehicle AWD!
Sounds like a fun project
I like it! Lots of value for that price point!
I agree 👍
@@HawkeyeRides Thanks for your response! I will probably buy a car in the new year and will put this at the top of the list. I actually live south of Tampa but wouldn’t rule out a trip up there for a “deal”! Agree about the plastic wheel covers!
If this dealerahip has 3 Crosses available, not already promised to somebody, and AT MSRP that is EXTREMELY rare. I got my L trim FWD at MSRP (plus the usual bs "processing fee), $26.7k out the door. But I waited 6 1/2 months for it.
These do sell quick but sometime you can find them online
Should have went to Mitsubishi, they are selling at MSRP with no bump up in prices, plus you do not have to wait, the dealers have what you want.
@@kennylavay8492 A Mitsu is not a Toyota!
Big difference in quality, so I would much prefer the Toyota product.
Great price I got mine for 28500 out the door still not bad but 35 day wait it states on mine
Picked up my new 2023 L series a week ago for $25,399. Had to wait a week
Well! It’s a Mazda body 😅and Toyota Engine 😂💪🙏🙏👍👍made in USA I had it last June the L Trim 💪💪🙏🙏not bad at all saves you gas , we drove it in Vegas 2x no issues going up just when you enter freeway kinda you have to push gas a bit 😅😅but over all . Im happy 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the insight 👍
I got that same model and year, but the only difference is that mine is blue. I can't complain, I was going to change it in five years, but I think I will keep it and buy another car maybe a Tacoma.
I would keep it as well 👍
I hate hard plastic in cars, but Toyota somehow does it right even with hard plastic. My biggest complain about corolla is bad isolation, other than that its a great car.
If only the auto world would listen because this plastic stuff gets old 👍
@@HawkeyeRideswhat would they give instead of plastic for such price😮
@@boboiboy9350 fake leather with with padding so it’s soft to touch and comfortable to rest on
I have a 22 Cross XLE AWD. We love it.
🎉 they are nice vehicles 👍
Same here, use it on the back desert roads!
What people dont realize-yes it is a little slower but the body, suspension, frame is over built, better built then anything in its class!!! This is a fact ..
They are nice vehicles
I currently drive a 2022 Hyundai Kona Limited and would consider the CC next time -- XLE Hybrid as I have my standards. Let's see if Toyota makes me switch from Hyundai next year.
They are good value SUVs 👍
@@HawkeyeRides I love the "spaceship" style of the 2024 Kona BUT I still have an awfully bad taste in my mouth from the Hyundai dealerships in my area even after leasing my 4th Hyundai back in October 2021.
Toyota made me switch from Hyundai when my 2015 sonata caught fire while I was driving it…
Are the seats higher than a standard Carolla?
No it feels about the same, the ground clearance is different because this is a suv.
2023 LE owner great car except tail lights are very small, can’t hardly see the car from the back, Hugh negative
Thanks for your owners insight 👍
This is the Poverty pack, which I think should not be in the line up just the 2 above it and make them more affordable, who in this day and age wants hubcaps FFS.
I'm not a fan of hubcaps but some don't mind I guess
Does anyone else notice an annoying vibration felt in the gas pedal especially around 1500-1800 rpm going at a steady speed .. Very annoying.
I didn’t notice anything abnormal when testing them but let’s see what other owners say
Thanks for watching and drop a comment below 👍
The cross is an entry-level budget car...
If You want “Features”; GO buy buy a BMW/Lexus...
... but Don’t keep making “Entry level cars” Less and Less and Less “affordable” for us lower working class..!
For a suv it’s a fair price, it would be awesome if it was under 20k but that’s inflation 👍
L series circular tail lights are ridiculously small safety issue. Trunk lighting does not light up. They are fake lights. This is safety issue since 2022. There should be a recall,
It’s not everyone fav
This is silly. I’m 6’6 and have owned this car for almost a year, and have absolutely no problem with its size. I have plenty of room, totally comfortable
Silly 🤷♂️, thanks for your owners input
What's the price of the cross suv 2023??
It’s within the first 5-15 seconds of the video
They start around 23k
Wrong
With taxes/fees/markups... the “base” Cross starts more like ~$30K...
....And yeah, fees/etc is still “REAL Money” that needs to come from Your Bank Account..
Stop Low-balling the Real Price..!
@@oskarngo9138 not ever dealership is adding mark ups and everyone pays taxes and fees 🤦♂️

@@oskarngo9138 you can buy one 28k out the door not bad since a 4 old Honda these days is 19k plus tax dealer fees etc these days 22k so 6k more new car smell and warranty mine came with 3 years oil changes etc 35 bucks to fill the tank up to the brim it’s also very confy on city driving and even highway driving has all the safety features too
Just got mine 25,400
I like this guy, very good guy
Thank you
No auto headlights?
yes it has it
Good thing i don't know anyone that is 6ft!
👍
Is the problem CVT?
No
Yeah, the fact that it looks like it's from 2013 on the inside... Toyota cars are not cheap for what they are offering.
Because it’s still new, it would’ve been nice to see upgrades in styling and tech.
Spare tire and jack? I thought only a tire repair kit.
It’s has it 👍
Hybrid-tire repair kit, Standard-spare tire
2 wheel drive or all wheel drive?
I have the MSRP in the first few seconds 👍
4
So what’s your opinion about buying the Corolla cross? Is it worth?? 😆
I would buy the XLE 👍
LE AWD is all you need. Moon roof and 18 inch wheel sucks.
NO!
What spare tire?!

We just sold my Wife's 2020 Toyota CHR, dealer serviced, at 67K Miles a slight noise started, had Dealer look at it, needed a new CVT Transmission, estimate... $10,500 for new Transmission... We sold it the same day to Carmax.....
Don't buy any vehicles with CVT Transmissions
I’m not a big fan of the CVT either, I had a Infiniti for 10 years and 170,000 on a CVT never had a problem on it I also did the service as recommended, every 30,000 miles.
this crossover has cvt
CVT is becoming the standard transmission
Ecvt I hear this one is reliable and has 1 gear not a true cvt
I am sure auto transmissions has broken down also for many brands, let's not buy those cars with them either. Engines can break down too especially for KIA/Hyundai's. Didn't stop world from driving those. Ppl live in tornado areas of U.S....
Does even the basic or LE trim level of the Corolla Cross come with blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning and vehicle stability control? Rather than talk so much about the cosmetics, consumers need to know about safety features vis-a-vis the electronics.
I’m sorry you feel like that but if you watch the review you would know as I talk about the features with the review 👍
and what is this con ??
I have a few with pros mixed in on the drive part of the review
Cheap plastic hubcaps!?
On the base, they are hubcaps
I'm waiting for all these car dealers to stop playing games and come down $10K across the board. This greedflation will not be tolerated.
I agree, anything extra is not right but for some reason people still pay 🤷♂️ and until that stops I don’t see huge discounts
Air conditioning in this car is TERRIBLE!!!! Kids don’t get any air in the back!!! It’s lacking and at full blast, it’s still does not feel cool and I wish I got a car that was more powerful. In Texas, Air is a main feature!
Thanks for sharing your owners insight 👍
maybe this car could be more strong, and durable car, fuel consumption is efficiently nice, but i couldn t give money this car for buy, because terrible interior like commercial car.very bad interior space.
It’s a great everyday vehicle 👍
CVT means no. not a chance.
It’s not everyone’s fav 👍
DOG & PONEY SHOW VEHICLE. Be ready to wait over 13 months to get one. Maybe ...
They have 2 or 3 right now at this dealership
35 day at my dealer I am waiting they said 50 now it’s 30 days I’ll come but it’s in Miami close to where they are made
What’s the big con? I don’t want to watch the whole video
It's the pros and cons in the drive part
it looks ugly
It’s not everyone’s fav
I think all suvs are ugly, but this one looks clean and simple to me. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
These are nice reliable cars.
This is what Toyota is known for
@@HawkeyeRidesI purchased the 2023 Corolla Cross L trim over a month ago. Still getting use to it as I am not accustomed driving an SUV compared to driving my Hyundai Elantra that I had for 20 plus yrs. So far no complaints.
