After getting into fragrances, I realised one thing. No matter how many it takes, buy samples or decants and use them before buying a big bottle. It’s not about the smell but how the perfume going to mix with your body odour. Buying 60 - 70 decants of 2-5 ML will cost max to 2 designer bottles and you can easily make the choice whether you want to commit to bigger version or not
My collection comprises of a modest 20 bottles. My top 5 are Acqua Di Gio Profumo (2 full 125ml bottles), SpiceBomb Extreme, Dior Sauvage Elixir, Dior Homme 2020 and Versace Pour Homme
Out of all of my 70+ bottles Dark Rebel is the main one I use almost every other day before I go to sleep after a shower and my back up bottle is for date nights. There’s something in it where I just say “Damn I smell good!”
Parfum DeMarly "Carlisle" and "Reflection" by Amouage are superb fragrances. A definitely can't go wrong in one's fragrance collection! Get your noses on them soon as possible.

Some great ones there. LIDGE is killer, and I had Pi back in the day, way before I cared about fragrances. It was just what I had been gifted, but makes me want to smell it again, as it's been so long.
Dark Rebel is an all time fav of mine. Glad to see it mentioned here. I’ve never tried uomo intense, but I’m a big fan of all the Dior Homme Iris classics and Gentlemen EDP. Seems like it could be a redundant purchase for men since I have all of those and struggle with finding situations to reach for them.
Yeah that’s a complete and utter banger still to this day! Another one that along the same vein and just as good is Altamir by Ted Lapidus. Which I actually prefer.

Reflection Man 45 is ridiculously priced here in Aust - it never goes for any less than A$750 - way overpriced - I've got the OG which is significantly cheaper but still nice
There are a lot of popular fragrances that just don’t mix with me. YSL Y EDP. Prada Luna Rossa Black. All of the Acqua Di Gio outside of the original. Just gag inducing to my nose.

When it comes to the house of Amouage the only ones that were full bottle worthy to me were Jubilation man and Reflection 45 and maybe Myths man. (Reflection man was good too but just didn’t have that magic and longevity that the 45 extrait did.) BUT the jubilation was reformulated and made way weaker so I don’t care to get a fb. AND reflection 45 is just wayyyy too pricey. Myths man was also very good and unique but just don’t know if I like it enough for a fb …. So my large decants will make due for now.
Have you ever gotten your nose on Amouage Beloved Man? I think it’s 2nd best behind reflection man. The scent profile reminds me of Nishane Nefs owns Xerjoff Alexandria II. Not the same, but reminiscent of those.

I think Acqua Di Gio Parfum is a disappointment. To me it is essentially a watered down Profumo that performs worse too. The insense is missing and i cannot forgive that.😂😂😂
ADG OG was my signature back in the days. Now a days the Profumo is never used. My experience of it differs from what they tell on Tube. Big bottle = waste of money.
I was shocked to learn something about the big name frags at arguably the biggest Niche store in Canada. The 3 to 5 main(best) notes of these frags are replaced with SYNTHETICS !!! I am in a city with over 2 million people. You can get big name colognes in MANY drug stores, gas stations, etc like Dior Sauvage, Bleu De Chanel, Tom Ford, Initio. I saw Dior bottles and Bleu De Chanel in a vending machine! Also they are all over airports. He/she said ambroxan is amped up sooo much like msg for food. The store gets asked all the time why many designer frags are not on the shelf and the response is on a website now to save time explaining. Pre Estee Lauder takeover they were all over her shelves. I, like many, smell BDC and Dior S. and find it just ok. The reason some on youtube still say it is the best ever is they get free bottles TO SELL and make $. I was floored.

The 5 years thing is bullshit. I have a bottle of YSL Y edp since it was released and YSL La Nuit De L'homme Parfum for around 10 years and they are all good plus they were opened and used all this time.
Just don't get Spicebomb Extreme - very forgettable and that DNA has lots out there better (like Dior Homme Intense). Original Spicebomb is MUCH better.

One purchase I am proud of making mate. Luckily my bottle is a great performer too. 10 hrs easily. Now I am looking at getting the EDT.
