The advantage of wired missiles in real life is that they offer the operator full control of the missile (It can't be interrupted by ECM, thermal jamming, etc) thus the missile can not be fooled by decoy tactics. The downside to wired operated missiles is that they still require the operator to have line of sight to hit the target (which isn't an issue in modern combat as most wired missiles have inbuilt camera to better help guide the operator to reaching his target).
That and Minovsky particles have this neat side effect of being an all purpose jammer that interferes with everything from radar up to even the visible light spectrum.
They are definitely doing more variations of this mold because I just found on both of mine under the backpack on the back there is a slot just like the pale rider and variants where the piece for the extra equipment fits into perfectly like it’s made for something else in the future. When the backpack is put back on it literally is like it’s designed for that extra connector to have space. Grab a rider kit with that lower back connector and try it out.
I also missed the first release for this a few months ago but low ans behold this morning it was back on the site and managed to snag one, can't wait to get it for the kitbash potential!
Wow, the GM Spartan looks incredible! I hope they do more with it in other media! Does anyone know if the shade of green on this GM Spartan is any similar to the green of the P-Bandai RGM-79 [G] GM Sniper?
I have both and compared immediately lol Sniper is a more natural, slightly lighter green. Spartan is a darker, richer green. They both look awesome together though.
Okay, now that I have mine in hand, I’m wondering why they bothered basing this thing on the HGUC GM Sniper II in the first place. Literally all of the body parts are new. The only thing it reuses are the joints and the interior of the leg thrusters, and I find that their attempt to retrofit the single jointed arms into double joints doesn’t work. I’m left wondering why they didn’t use the Pale Rider as a base instead, since that suit is also heavily based on the GM Sniper II, but it has proper double-jointed arms. This is exactly the same reason why everyone dunked so hard on the HGUC Tristan.
welp, this suit is great in GBO2, and they just re-released it on p-bandai for $26. since it looks good here, i went ahead and preordered it. ($10 shipping, doesn't ship till at least November. boo.) i like that it has 3 grenades in the game, and 3 on the figure's hip. gonna have to change out the main gun though. also bought some custom 1/144 dual pistols for the kit, to make it more like the BD Squad version in the game. i like that the blade is just gray on the figure, but in GBO2 it glows orange like a heathawk... that always seemed weird to me. is it supposed to actually heat up? (also in GBO2 the camera on the forehead is blue so that works for me. still gonna have to recolor the rest of it though.)
The knife is depicted as either a heat knife, a rapidly vibrating "pulse blade" or a combination of the two. I would actually prefer to go with pulse blade because if the knife heated up putting it back into the sheath would melt/weld the knife in the holder! (also pulse comes off as stealthy, heat would show up on sensors in my mind)
They should have made the visor in white clear plastic and then give both a blue reflective sticker and a gold on. And they should have also included a "117" sticker.
@@salmanmahyuddin8384 the rumors came from an interview where they were asked that question. Bungie said that they were huge Gundam fans and loved all the original msv designs and specifically named the original art work of the GM Spartan. So they didn’t say it out right but you get it. Just dig deep and find the article or Kakarot197 did a video on this. Gave the sources and all.
You mean halo’s inspiration is from the gm spartan. The original art work predated halo by many many years. The creators of halo didn’t out right say it but they did say they were huge Gundam fans and loved all the original msv designs and specifically said the GM Spartan.

Oh look master chief
That one kit with just a knife handle is P-Bandai Conroy's Jegan Ecoas, which also has the separate full knife but cannot put in the sheath

fun fact about the arm mounted sabers, those are a recent retcon to the design with code fairy thanks to a gundamized custom gm spartan in code fairy.
My sir, you are the luckiest man i ever heard to got it.
Yeessss chalie noice i was waiting for this amazing gm.
Its so worth it!
I finally managed to get one from the US P Bandai store and you could still preorder it
Got mine coming in at some point. Now I want to get one of Bandai of America’s Halo SpruKits to see how well Halo weapons work on this.
This is that one GM that you just can’t see as a cannon fodder.
That's the GM you see take on 5 goufs and survive like that one GM in gundam thunderbolt
@@B1_224 this is thd gm that can destroy mobile armors and gundams with pycho- phrame
It goes like this:
When the regular GMs are in trouble, they call upon the Gundam.
But when the Gundams are in trouble, they call upon the GM Spartan
Really glad they opened up a second round on this guy

Ha. Hope Bandai release a HG Gouf Hunter to go along with this kit for us Zeon fans.
if GM Spartan and Gundam Pixy is possible then i believe High-Boost GM is also possible in the future, even if it's just P-Bandai.
The series it's from is called blazing shadow
If we see one kit from that than that's not far around the corner
Would love to see the g-line get a kit of some kind. It has I believe 4 different forms. I bet it'd be p-bandai, but it'd still be awesome.
Looks real cool.
I just checked ebay and it's got the MG resin kit for Spartan
this would look great with the GM Striker Custom EX Metal Spider, if bandai make it
This kit is perfect for custom paint
새해복 많이 받으시길 bruh
You too buddy

Some blades do heat up(mostly zeon tech), but not sure on this one myself

I love that the barrel can spin. I’ve ordered 3.
You couldn't show the pistol separate from the gun?
I bought one for this but I hope they release MG version so I can make a team of Spartan :d
Only thing this is missing is a hyper bazooka
Which it had on its back skirt in the original art of you look closely
I really wanna get one.
How well would it work for kitbashing with the Nemos?
hmm... since I dont know what you are trying to do, cant say much. But any customization will require work in some way.
nice jim
what does it matter what color clear piece is
hey i was wondering is the knife 2 pieces or did you paint it grey with a marker cause most knifes in models are one piece
I did not color anything on the knife
This will look amazing once they make it in MG

with that much green, that kit's just begging for some weathering
Darn it was Pbandai
Simpro made a 1/100 scale resin conversion kit and B club made a 1/144 resin kit. But now the Chinese company XFS is making cheap copies of this kit
kit badly needs a matte topcoat out of the box. too shiny lol
master cheif.
GM HALO Master chief
Very Halo-esque design
There's rumors that bungie based the master chief and Spartans off of this design back then
@@Xroslight i wish there's a source for that, i guess the only way to know is to ask the original designers
