I love the Apollo alarms, suits the property very well, amazing work mate! quick questions, Ever thinking of making a demonstation board of the alarms? And are Chubb branded alarms a good beginner brand?
yeah, i used my board to build something else, i dont really have the space to showcase a demo board currently but when i do i will be sure to build one up. chubb devices are usually not actually made by chubb so if you find out what system its compatible with ie Apollo or hochiki or other it should work without any issues.
Find a call point without the resistor in series, KAC types with the rounded front have this option then just have the call point break the connection between the supply and sounder. This doesn’t work well with detectors you need a little circuit to make that work right.
@@Jake-resells I mean bear minimum. Literally wit up the same way as you would a light switch. Use a 12V battery or power supply if your sounder needs more then just up the voltage within its working range
Is your panel monitored (idk how to spell it) I’m guessing Test Mode doesn’t notify your local fire department when u set it off via test mode I’m guessing it isn’t anyway
It’s not monitored, I plan on integrating it into a system that sends me what’s app messages when faults and alarms occur. There is a serial port on the back of the panel for the printer I will just use the information from that, format it and send it via a what’s app.
Good afternoon ,I have a question i have a kentec synco as 8000 fire panel it has a sounder circuit 2 fualt but the resistor works and is instaled and the sounder circuit outputs 27v like all ways but can't fix the fault should i get new one or send or repair
@@TDSWar its either or depending on what brand it could be red or it could be green, there could be models that have two led colours to determine state and condition.
@@testlogs9005 I had one at school, when the lunch halls lights went out due to half (probably it was half idk tho) of the school losing power so I got to see the one in the lunch hall in action (it normally has a green light next to it when it is not active but has charge) it’s the ceiling mounted ones
In loop explorer the voice sounder will work under discovery sounder beacon. The tone selection and message selection can be done by following the data sheet that comes with the voice sounder.
hello test logs , i noticed you put the system into test mode with a emergency test switch? how does that link into the panel? its 10 amp switch correct?
there is a switch monitor in the backbox thats the switch is connected to, i drilled a hole in the front plate and fitted an LED that connects to the remote indicator output of the switch monitor. the switch monitor is set up in non latching to put all zones into test while the switch is on. this is a loop connected device.
@@testlogs9005 Thanks for getting back so fast! while I have you tho , I have bought a emergency light and a emergency light test switch. Wiring it is easy but most of the time when the fire alarms goes of all the emergency lights become active no matter what time it is. What happened with the fire alarm not activating (u used the Apollo call point and it didn’t activate first go) Edit: also when u tried to activate the heat detector it took so long to activate and the smoke alarm in the room didn’t actually go off at first (I heard one in the hallway go off and then the one probably downstairs and then it went off) Edit 2: the caravan smoke alarm sounds so basic lol (the Apollo’s sound more good)
It’s addressable, it has a very slow data rate it takes time for the command signal to tell all the sounders to turn on then synchronise hence you hear the sounders switching on in different parts of the house as it turns on and off, you can hear them sync sometimes as they stutter their tones.

Was the CO alarm wirelessly connected to the Module with the Relays for FLT INT And CO I think it is (fault) (co) and (fire)
quick question, are you able to disable the voice sounder and just leave it as just the siren
yes
The emergency light looks good
May I ask if u took out of the batteries off the panel, would it pop up with a AC Fault or something?
it would moan there was no batteries, then die if you killed the AC to it.
@@testlogs9005 ok so it would pop up with something like this:

Hey! This is the same guy who posted the original comment, You alright? Are you going to be making videos any time soon?
Question do you have fire blankets or extinguishers? I recommend having a dry powder or c02 in your panel cupboard
I have a co2 extinguisher its currently in the upstairs bedroom. The fire blanket is in the kitchen and there is a water and foam one in the garage.

Go down the fix route first. Swap the resistors you know work and see if it clears the fault on that circuit.

What do the lights on the emergency lights mean (red light and green light)
If it’s the green or red led it’s just for showing that the unit has mains power for charging.
