I had a feeling this race would be featured! What a race mate, I was the bloke in P2. I haven't ever been that disappointed of a spinout but I got too hungry for the win. All the more deserved P1 for keeping your composure in some hairy battles. Well done, I'll see you in the next.

@@naughtysnotnice1431 At the time, I ran a single monitor 27 Inch Screen. That was why I kept giving up so much space as I was always afraid of ruining the race for anybody. However I made the change to VR this week!

As a brazilian racing drive myself I can tell you, that was an awesome race. Interlagos is not an easy track, but you are definetly fast in the most important sections. Congratulations Will !!
In game? I think it is easy af in F1. Just the S make me struggle a little because the high speed of the car💀💀

What I like about your videos is the fact you analyse your own driving against those who are around you and seem to have a faster line on some corners, it's great to see a experienced sim racer who is still able to see his own mistakes and learn from others, unlike some content makers on you tube, I watch every video watching your lines and car skills, and have to say I have seen a improvement in my own lap times because I follow some of your lines, but I'm still over 3 or 4 seconds slower than you on average, oh and I don't use Iracing because of the costs involved, my go to sim at this time is AC with CM so I have most of the tracks and cars you use, it's a shame I can't have you as my ghost car lol I think I could then improve even more lol, keep up the great content PLEASE

I was in this race and noticed you qual'd p1! Held 3rd for a bit before I spun on the last corner mid-race. Didn't want to have an unsafe re-entry, especially featured on video, so I practically let the whole field pass before I got back on track lol. Using a G920 right now but from watching your vids, I'm getting Heusinkveld Ultimates and a Simucube 2 pro soon! Nice race!

Awesome video like always but... like you say in the title "finally a great race", I have moved from iRacing to ACC and LFM because all the times I have bad races on iRacing... and I have 2K iRating... I don't want to pay for a service where the people don't do clean races... and the reporting system is totally a mess, but... EXCELLENT VIDEO

Great win Will. Is this fixed set up? Tips 20% more brake t1. BB to rear more on race start. 1click to the front thru race no more 1%. I race open series and I'm starting race 52.4. You need to manage tires thru race . If not the rear can have no grip on exits by the end.

@@boostedmedia I just need to find 10% more in my braking at t1. And in no way are those numbers absolute. Taking the heat off the rears with this new tire mod in f3 seems to b a thing. I suck at it. Like everything in iracing. Takes practice. Knowing what the car is or isn't doing is everything. By the way your rig when in f3 is even more stunning. Just looks awesome anyway but really loving the emerson in the f3. Cheers bud.
What a race that was. That really sucked that Christian crashed. I was really hoping for that Grandstand finish. I really gotta try and get a set up like this. The adrenaline that you must go through must be insane! Loving it!

Yeah it's bitter sweet because we all want that win that was hard fought all the way but yeah its nice to get that result 👌🏽
@@Anonylek4824 yeah the battles are always the most fun in iRacing. Though I got my first and only win because two drivers took each other out and I was beyond elated 😅

2nd comment now I've watched it properly. Really nice driving Will. A cool head and smooth driving won you that race. Well earned for sure. Perhaps not as fast as Christian, but much smoother. That last lap killed me, firstly with Jim prattling away through the first turns. I really wish he'd shut up in critical turns. Having survived the curse of Jim, that "moment" in the last sector was a bloody heart stopper when you almost lost it. But other than that, a pretty much flawless drive. Bravo!

I think F3 is such a nice class actually. It's not as insane as F1, but still so much more agile than those other classes.

I don’t remember mirrors in this game being this good, the immersion simply watching was crazy.
Love these FPV videos Will great job! The only criticism I have is I think it might be better to tilt the camera up just a little bit so we can see more of the screen :)

@@boostedmedia ah okay I had the impression that there might be a few more inches of screen up top that we couldnt see. Certainly didn't mean any offense by that just wanted to share to be helpful. Your content is an inspiration keep it up!
No offence taken at all! When my head is level there’s a bit more room but every time I tilt my head you see black if I have it any higher. I actually have to drop the image in slightly as well for open wheelers. For closed cabins it’s easier because the roof generally looks black anyway so it’s not noticeable.

Hey Will awesome race! Question about the dash on your wheel. I assume your using Simhub? I've got a bunch of dashes but haven't seen that one. Is it on Race Department some where? thanks again for a great video.
F3 is my fav class to race in IR
I just wish there were more people so the splits were more evenly matched. The spread of skill makes it so difficult to get a clean race.
Yep that’s also true. I did skippies for a year and it was very hot and miss.

nice run man! I've been wondering, with the setup you have, do you have pressure in your gas pedals? I just can't seem to find a sweet spot for my acceleration with no traction control enabled. My peddles only give me pressure through my breaks, and my gas feels just like my clutch. Now, is it my gear, or do I just suck?😂😂
I love this setup. I have 2 3070Ti’s and I wonder if I could drive 3 65” screens like this. That would be wicked
Unfortunately SLI is dead so two GPUs won't give you anything :-/
@@bjornromermann5080 I’m not running SLI. I haven’t used SLI since the 8800s were out. How ever I do have 2 sims setup with a 3070 Ti by Zotac. Just don’t think I can run 3 screens at full 4K without moving to a 3090
@@dirtyminerapparel Oh I have a 3090 with Triples, but not 4k. I use 2560x1440. And even with this Resolution the 3090 struggles sometimes. At least in ACC. There is simply no card wich can run 4k natively. Maybe upscaling DLSS. But I see what you mean.
@@bjornromermann5080 I was hoping the 40 series was going to be better but it’s not looking promising. I could always go triple Xbox One X for sims. There is a way to slave two of them for triple screens.
Take the Formula Renault 3.5 around that track,that's a whole lot of fun. I did a 121.9 last night in a practice session,with horrible gear compared to what you have lol
And i think that if you get a little bit loose the front ARB, you can carry more speed in the slower part of the track, and do not need to use de first gear!

Nice race. Looks really kewl. However in my opinion you were not utilizing your breaks for 100%. Even when you were breaking for a slow corner after fast section you used around 40% of your break power. Most probably thats why cvilla was way faster in a slower track section.
Also in mid-sector Christian's lowest gear was 2nd gear. You went all the way down to 1st gear. That allows him to put throttle down earlier than you. That's why he gained on the mid-sector

Nice race. I was just wondering if Christian's more aggressive style would compromise his tires earlier when he spun.
Could be, although looking at the replay it seemed like my rear was moving around quite a bit too so not sure. He was hitting the apex kerb much more agressively than I was in the final turn and it’s got a pretty nasty bump.

Hey mate whats involved in your complete set-up, and what would be the bare minimum someone would need to set up a proper SIM setup. Ive only bought the logitech g923 esk wheel and pedals, and my biggest gripe is i can never feel the throttle or brake pressure when i lose traction. What would you recommend?

Christian does not go down to 1st gear in those two tight corners where he is faster, maybe there’s something here… Great race by the way, congrats on your win!
I noticed thatand experiemnted with it. I found I got much better rotation by shifting down an extra gear but I could be missing something. I've noticed similar in GT3 and 4 cars too. I think the main difference was just that he was braking later. I was carrying slightly more speed on exit but overall he was about 0.2 seconds a lap faster. My slightly higher exit speed through the last turn as well as turns 1 and 2 were all that saved me from him driving off into the distance I think.

I Dont want to be rude but whats the point of having this amazing setup to still rely on the spotter when you can turn your head and see if the car is still there
Wills viewing angle with his eyes is much wider than what we see with the camera. So he can actually see the other car next to him even without turning the head so much we would notice it in the camera view.
He does not use wide angle because of aspect ratio for us here on youtube. We would watch it skewed so it is better to have a more narrow angle than he is seeing but with natural aspect ratio.

It never fails, there is always the one idiot who try’s to win the race in the first corner of lap one, Why is it so hard for drivers to maintain the first lap or 2 while building temperature and confidence in the car, then get aggressive, If you are faster than the cars ahead, you will catch them, if not , then you’re right where you belong. So many races are ended from the overeagerness and stupidity of others.

Wow. Just wow! What almost intrigues me most is the sound of the car. I watched it very loud (in fact maybe too loud) and it was awesome. That´s what I´m talking about when I mention the importance of sounddesign in games. I didn´t remember iRacing being on this level. Great work! I just wondered if is maybe a little due to the GoPro-Camera (which is a terrific idea btw.)

Great race! I was a racing driver and I raced there too many times with a formula car. But the driver's view it's a little bit lower than this! But congrats to the video!
those turns in the middle 3rd sector that you are going to the 1st gear, im pretty sure you can do it in 2nd or low 3rd, that said i love your content specially DTM Racing

Because that’s how it is on the real car. Has to be higher to clear the air intake
