    Have you ever come across the attachment that Hudson created that logs all your button presses in a game, essentially allowing you to watch replay's of video games.

      I thought that was the Famicom Repeater made by Hori?

    According to Merriam webster, the verb legate is a synonym to the verb bequeath. The definition in this case would be to "hand down" or to "transmit"

      Ah, so kind of like "delegate"? Interesting! Thank you!

      I too had to ask my human dictionary since my digital one had failed me and it's an unused word to mean "to store" or restore depending on if you're loading or saving a file. dang it, now I have to sub to your channel it's not everyday you find archaic computer terms being used in youtube videos.

    Legate is where we get delegate from. I think it was meant to mean to "take care of" or "to save". yeah its just a weird translation of "move and save".

    That's awesome, I didn't even know this existed. It's like a memory card from before disc-based games.

    You can save and load from the TurboFile in Castle Excellent. At the save/load menu, if you use the A button to confirm it will try to save to the Data Recorder, if you use the start button to confirm it will try to save to the TurboFile. Same for loading.

    Wasn't the TurboFile the peripheral that allowed one to move their characters from Wizardry I to Wizardry II?

  • @Larry

    Move and Legate, could that be some Engrish there and they mean Migrate?

    It might be a misspelling of migrate. Like move and migrate your character between carts

    Star Trek Definition for Legate
    Legate was a rank given to members of the Central Command and high-ranking flag officers in the Cardassian military.

    • @SeanOrange
      @SeanOrange 9 років тому +1

      Hahaha, right? That's also the first thing I thought of, but it turns out that it's also a rank in the Roman military.

    Actually, Knight of Swords (Wizardry 2) came before Legacy of Llylgamyn (Wizardry 3). I don't know how ASCII got the first two Wizardry sequels mixed up in the first place.

    Does Vinnk actually (i literally mean it) live in Japan?

    Maybe move character does convert the character from Wizardry II to Wizardry III

  • @goo3r
    @goo3r 9 років тому

    Maybe it's "Move and Negate" with an improper translation? Move and negate meaning it saves your game to the TurboFile and then deletes it from the memory. Just a guess.

    I geuss it fail at saving your file on the tape, hence why it didn’t load anything onscreen.

    I think there were a series of horse racing games that utilized this add on - if they can be played in English - I just may have a new drinking game.

    I didn't even know the AV famicom had an attachment for famicom peripherals.
    So I guess if you want to use both NES and Famicom peripherals the AV famicom is the way to go.

    • @SeanOrange
      @SeanOrange 4 роки тому

      Except I don’t think the EXT port is hooked up through the P2 port like it is on an NES, so non-controller NES peripherals won’t work.

    Everything was fine untile you waved your crapPhone in front of us. Why you're showing it off? Looking for people's jealousy, like, "oh, wow, you've got some Apple stuff! I know it's crap, but I still envy you, because everything from Crapple is cool".

    • @FamicomDojo
      @FamicomDojo  9 років тому +6

      eklipsegirl It's a direct reference to the immediately previous video (Data Recorder) where we make a joke at Apple's expense. Perhaps that would be more to your liking?

      Now this is rare, a self aware troll. Irregardless like most internet trolls you lack the mental capacity to respect people's opinions, in this situation apple products. Rather than shame, i pity you

      +maxumProductions I did respect Crapple-lovers for a very long time. Until I was forced to use Crapple hardware for 2 years during my job as an iOS and OS X programmer. Sheesh, I just do not believe in their sincerity anymore.
