I highly recommend visiting the website below for more info on the Famicom modem. I normally have a ton of sources for my videos and while I had several this go around, glitterberri.com is by far the best one on this topic. I purposely left out some info that can only be found on the site so that people would go check it out. There's all kind of great info on there. Please give it a visit. www.glitterberri.com/developer-interviews/how-the-famicom-was-born/developing-the-famicom-modem/
Such an Informative channel on gaming history!!! Already watched like 5 of your videos dude, quality documentary work! Didn't know streaming games has been around since IntelliVision, lmao. I really love channels like these on UA-cam, they make up for the void of tv shows about video games and they're history. ( fuck D|XD and they're screeching youtubers, is that all there is on tv for gamers now?!... God I miss G4Tv) Keep on the good work, just subbed, looking forward to more awesome content!
3:19 Hey, there's my subbed Famicom modem commercial! Very kind of you to give me credit and not claim it as your own. I've previously had Brent Black (Brentalfloss) steal my stuff as his own and when I kindly asked him to credit me, he (and his fanbase) were assholes. So.......thank you for doing the right thing. Although I should point out that you misspelled Famicom as "Fammicom" in your title card. Aw well, we all make mistakes. Now looking back at my own commercial, I wish I hadn't used such obnoxious font. If I were to re-do it, I'd use something less garish. But anyway, awesome to see a doc on the Famicom modem. I loved your documentary on the Power Glove - it actually enticed me to go dig mine out and re-experience the badness all over again.
+Satoshi Matrix hey! Thanks so much for taking the time to upload and subtitle it. I try to give credit whenever possible, it's only fair. I cannot believe I misspelled Famicom on the title for it though. Ugh. I watched it like 7 times before publishing the video and still missed it. Thanks again for the upload and for the kind words.
Man you're like a Gaming historian in steroids, your content is great! Didnt know you or your channel, but it was instant subscription. Keep up the good work.
+Talon's Electronics Thanks so much. I really, really, like making these. There's so many cool little stories about gaming history out there that people don't know about. It seems like more people have been finding the videos over the last few weeks so I can't complain about subs. Just glad there's people digging the videos. 😀
Wrestling With Gaming Yeah, man. I think I heard of the Famicom modem once a while ago but I didn't know much about it until I saw your video. I remember hearing that Nintendo wanted to do something similar for the NES in Minnesota by releasing a modem that would allow people to play the state lottery from their homes but it never came to fruition because people thought minors would use it to illegally play the lottery.
Wrestling With Gaming And I also think making videos about old games and consoles is fun. It's not always easy and can become very time consuming, but it's still fun.
I've been watching your channel the past couple weeks and didn't realize how relatively new at this you are. I figured you have been at this for 5 years and had 500k subs: These documentaries are great and very well produced. Great job!
+Robby Frick Thanks! Yeah, I'm fairly new at it. I've had the account for this channel forever but only started making these videos last November so it hasn't even been a year yet. Thanks for checking the channel out!
Excellent documentary! I came to be educated on a Famicon peripheral I had no clue existed and educated I was. Much respect to your channel for uploading high-quality content, keep up the good work!
one thing that popped out to me, buys a device meant to hook up your tv to your phone, returns device cause they could not figure out a way to connect it to both the tv and phone ... sounds like the typical adult in the 80's (and 90's)
+Laberge Thanks man. Jaguar vid is still coming. Since it's taking longer than I expected to finish and I pretty much had this video ready to go I decided to upload it since so much time had passed since my last upload.
I've never even heard of this thing before. It's quite interesting to read and see how far Japan and America has come in these times of days. Can't wait to see what else is out there in the future! Well done, sir!
Thanks! Yeah man, this is a strange and little-known piece of history.I was able to snag one relatively cheap from eBay. It really can't be used for much these days but it's nice to have.
I'm late to the party as youtube didn't notify me for some reason. Stupid youtube. Anyway good video I enjoyed it! My first experience with online console gaming was with my original xbox, and years before that I was playing quake 2 online using gamespy. It's interesting to see how that technology was already out years in advance.
+Useless Duck Company UA-cam won't even notify my own girlfriend of my new videos sometimes. The nerve! Lol, no worries man. It's amazing that Nintendo has had online connectivity of some sort since all the way back in the 80s yet they can't seem to get a decent online service going today.
You know we've come a long ways when it would be considered ludicrous in this day and age for a athlete to be the spokesman for a home console or home console accessory that wasn't sports related. Crazy ad.
+Kent Depamaylo Thanks! My next one is going to be on the Atari Jaguar and should be out in a week or two. It's actually going to be my longest video to date, coming in right around thirty minutes.
Man i love these kinda documentary style videos! i could watch them all day! probably kinda awkward to ask but do you know any other good channels that do documentary style videos regarding retro gaming? im subbed to you, Gaming Historian, Kim justice, and LGR , i could use a few more :D
+raafmaat Thanks! That's funny, I'm subbed to all of those too. I'd recommend checking out HistoricNerd. He doesn't just do gaming history videos but he has quite a few on them and they're all well done. His latest video on the little known Sega SVP chip (Sega's answer to Nintendo's Super FX Chip) is really good. Here's a link to it ua-cam.com/video/yZHFbLfvb8w/v-deo.html
thanks man, that video looks promising, Im actually really into old hardware but its quite hard to find good documentary style videos about it. ill be sure to check him out, AFTER ive watched all your stuff ofcourse, only just found your channel and watched this one video, cant wait to see the rest
+raafmaat Thanks again man. I only have 15 of these documentary type videos up but my next one is on the atari jaguar and should be out in the next week or two. I'm really close to finishing it up but it took longer than expected. Here's a preview I had put up for it (it's unlisted now). Ignore the end of July debut date at the end of it lol. Once I realized I couldn't finish it that fast I went with posting the Famicom modem instead. It'll be out soon though. ua-cam.com/video/GQEdB1U4B9c/v-deo.html
Just discovered your channel. Love it. Super informative videos. A+++ work sir. And I'm sure you get this all the time, but damn dude......you look just like Al Snow.
+Mike Evans Yeah, I love her overall look and design of the Famicom and most of its accessories. I gotta say though, as the owner of a Famicom network system modern it's a really ugly add on.
+Douglas Worthy Thanks. With it being not just a Japan exclusive but also a very niche device there just doesn't seem to be a lot of people that have heard about it outside of Japan. I found one relatively cheap, which is good considering it doesn't connect to anything anymore lol.
Wrestling With Gaming It's hard for me to pick up items that are collectable but have no function anymore when they have a high price tag. So I'm glad to hear you got a good deal
+KGRAMR thanks man. There's a really good chance the jaguar video will be out by Sunday. It's practically finished. I just need to add in the music, refilm a two minute on camera section where the audio got really messed up, and add some thank yous at the end. I'm actually rendering a copy of it right now to send over to the two jaguar experts I've got helping me with some data verification. The only thing that could hold it up is if they find some glaring mistakes. But I'm pretty thorough with my research so I don't think it'll be too much of an issue.
They actually tried to bring the famicom modem to the states to be used in the Illinois lottery. I didn't touch on it because it was such a tiny part of its history. IN hindsight i should've at least mentioned it. Anyway, state government shut the idea down and that was that.
+rheysonn infante Thanks! I'm trying to put decent stuff out there but I know you can't please everyone. I'm sure the dislikes on this video are coming lol. Thanks for checking the channel out!
Wrestling With Gaming i couldnt agree more. . cant please everybody. but so far, your videos are short but packed with information that is easy to watch. just finished watching your video about superman 64 and that was really informative. nice to hear the other side of the story. looking forward for more awesome videos. looking forward for that 100k subs as well, hehe.
+Tim Brooks thanks man! Glad to hear it. The next video is going to be on the Atari Jaguar. I was able to get some input on it from Leonard Tramiel and am getting some assistance from a gentleman that works for Retro Gamer magazine with research verification. All of that has made the video take longer to complete bit I think it'll be well worth it. Thanks again for checking the channel out man.
It's funny, really. We started with the Famicom Modem, which lead into the Satellaview, which lead into the 64DD's Randnet, which lead into the Gamecube Modem, which lead into Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, which lead into Nintendo Network, and before we new it, we're at Nintendo Switch Paid Online.
+raveboy004 it's still coming, I promise. I posted this famicom video because the Jaguar one is taking longer than I expected. Probably about 10-14 days away. A good chunk of the editing is done but I'm also having a couple third parties review my research on it since there's quite a bit of contradictory info on the Jaguar out there. It looks like it's going to be my longest video to date. I'm looking at about 30 minutes or so depending on what info gets added or taken out in the next week or two. Sorry for the delay on it. I really, really, want to get it out but I want is to be done right.
h00t 555 Thanks! I'm trying to make stuff I can be proud of. I know if I half ass the Jaguar video I'll just regret it. And yeah, it's crazy being at almost 10K. I never expected to even get half of that.
Hey brother, discovered you when your Saturn/32x video popped up in my recommended videos. Dig what you're doing here. I am also a (former) indie wrestler with a gaming focused UA-cam channel, so you might dig my stuff as well. Keep up the good work.
+George Watanabe lol I don't know but I wouldn't watch the wrestling videos. I promise I'm editing the next one but it won't be out for another week or two. Gonna be on the Atari Jaguar.
+George Watanabe oh haha. I had a preview for it up but took it down once it became clear I wasn't going to get anywhere close to the first week of August date inn the preview. Thankfully I had the Famicom video just about ready to go in case something like that happened. You can still see the preview at this link. It's basically the first two minutes. The final version I'll finishing up does fix a couple minor things in this preview: ua-cam.com/video/GQEdB1U4B9c/v-deo.html
London vice is a great kayfabe name, were you a cm punk fan? Also what year did you retire? Any current faves and your all time favorite if you dont mind me asking
+robert shelton Thanks. Sure man, I loved cm punk. Dude was great. I still wrestle just sporadically. I don't really upload my matches anymore though. My all time favorite is probably HBK. Current favorites? There's a lot of good ones out there. Kenny Omega, the young bucks, aj styles, cesaro, Bobby roode, Zayn... I could go on and on lol. There's definitely never been more high quality wrestling talent in ALL companies than there is right now. In my opinion anyway.
+Richard slater I posted this famicom video because the Jaguar one is taking longer than expected. Probably about 10-14 days away. I didn't want to go so long without a video and I pretty much had this one ready to go. A good chunk of the editing is done but I'm also having a couple third parties review my research on it since there's quite a bit of contradictory info on the Jaguar. It looks like it's going to be my longest video to date. I'm looking at about 30 minutes or so depending on what info gets added or taken out in the next week or two. Sorry for the delay on it. I really, really, want to get it out but I want is to be done right.
Whoa! I didn't know that the family com have a modem. But for stock checking? It's a game console for heavens sake. If this was launched say today, Nintendo will be scoffed at and there will be no sale at all. Also the company will be skinned and fried alive on social media. Though at least there's a lesson here about online gaming which is prevalent today. Again nice job and continue making these kinds of video. You rock. 😁💪
Of course this wouldn't sell today. The market is different. Nowadays you can get a general-purpose computer that is capable of doing this ultra cheap. Heck, if you drive around your neighborhood on garbage day you can probably find an old computer that somebody is throwing out in the garbage that can do this and pay nothing for it. That wasn't the case back then. Computers were expensive.
One of those few times that the UA-cam recommendations lead to a great new channel for me. Really good vid! By the way, do you know Top Hat Gaming man? He is also a wrestler gamer-small UA-cam channel. You should become acquainted with each other and maybe collab someday. :-)
the only reason this channel doesnt have more views is because of the 'Wrestling' part. I understand it was a past profession or hobby and you have a passion for it but its generally unrelated to the gaming videos. Also the alcohol element in the live stream title turns me off but thats just me. Great video like always!
+GetStainedAlready that's a fair point, actually two fair points, and something to think about. The livestreams are pretty much reserved for 12 or even 1am est or later and I don't publish those videos. They're pretty much deleted afterwards to make sure they aren't something more readily available to anyone but especially
Top quality gaming documentaries either way, so keep up good work. I can see a lot of effort put into finding the clips, putting in all the captions, and the transition work.
also I think an underrated aspect is the narration. very clearly spoken and also spoken as if you are interested in the topic at hand. Some youtubers sound like they are bored to death of their own video!
Nintendo could have made it more sucessful if they placed options following: 1.game downloading 2.online gaming and 3.having it in USA 4.better connection system 5.program that allows to make a game AND THE BIGGEST ONE 6.HAVE IT ON NES
I like em too. It's unfortunate that both All your history are belong to us and Game Trailer's Retrospective are gone... Those are up there on my list ;)
I wish a homebrew community will bring new live to the famicom modem and create new apps for it, such as paypal, what'sapp, hotmail, massanger and ebay etc,,, sure it will be in simple video text quality but that's fine aslong you can do some seriouse business on it, it will feel very rewarding for retro anthiossiasts like me.
Not at all. But I bet we both used the same source as our main one since it's pretty much the only and most comprehensive source on the Famicom modem that's in Enlgish. I don't know if she listed it on her video and I'm not sure if you got tto the end of mine but I actually listed my main source for this at the end of the video and also provided a link to it in my description. I give credit where it's due. Here's the link in the description: www.glitterberri.com/developer-interviews/how-the-famicom-was-born/developing-the-famicom-modem/ I actually purposely left out some information and encouraged people to go to the website to learn more as I wanted to drive some people to it.
somebody get cracking on emulating and hosting private servers for this shit. I just need to use my nintendo to bet my house on a fucking horse then I can die in peace.
Hyperdemention Neptunia the Animation references Satliteview for SNES Lowee the nation that expys Nintendo has a abandoned satilite network based on it.
+BASHEM72 Thanks, really appreciate that. I love making these videos. I have a very long list of topics I'd like to cover so there's plenty more to come.
I highly recommend visiting the website below for more info on the Famicom modem. I normally have a ton of sources for my videos and while I had several this go around, glitterberri.com is by far the best one on this topic. +Carlos Fierro Thanks a lot man, glad you're digging the videos. I'm hoping to have my next one out in the next day or two. Thanks again!
That Mona Lisa commercial was awesome!
+hey yo it really is pretty damn well done.
It's insane, how did they even manage that back then?????
Things like this explain why Nintendo was so slow to adapt internet capability in their consoles. Great video!
+Jan Patrician thanks
Man you're like a Gaming historian in steroids, your content is great! Didnt know you or your channel, but it was instant subscription. Keep up the good work.
+Antonio Zabál Thanks! I love the Gaming Historian so that's very high praise. I don't know if I deserve it but I'll take it! Lol
Your channel is so underrated. You deserve a lot more subs, dude.
That's why people like you, doing what you love not what you think will just make you a quick buck/views.
It would be awesome if you could do one for the XBAND someday :D
I had no idea such a thing existed! Interesting stuff. Really liking the channel.
+Cars Simplified thanks!
+JozaeJA Thanks! It's a quirky little accessory from the past for sure. Glad you liked it!
Great retrospective of a long lost relic, good vid.
+Riz2336 thanks!
I'm really loving these videos.
Keep up the great work.
+Razor Vermillion thanks so much. Appreciate it!
I just stumbled upon your channel today! I'm glad I did.
+ravager48 I'm glad you did too!
I really like your channel. I think it's one of the best on UA-cam. I really like that you do your homework on your facts. Keep up the great work.
Your videos are always top-notch. I wish you much success in the near future.(:
+srvfan42 Thanks, appreciate it!
Love your channel! It popped up as a suggested video and I binge watched all your gaming documentaries. Great job and I can't wait to see more!
+Andy Ng Thanks! Next one is going to be on the Atari Jaguar. Should be up in a week or two.
one thing that popped out to me, buys a device meant to hook up your tv to your phone, returns device cause they could not figure out a way to connect it to both the tv and phone ... sounds like the typical adult in the 80's (and 90's)
+osgeld Great point!
+osgeld My own parents returned a DVD player once because they couldn't hook it up. I was flabbergasted lol.
I love watching your videos.
They're so well made and informative.
Really hope you get more subs because you definitely deserve it
+Burak Crystal Thanks for checking them out. I think the subs will come over time. Either way, I love making these.
I had no idea this product even existed! What craziness.
+Thomas Pleacher Yeah, it was a weird little product.
This is my 3rd or 4th video of yours. I'm a subscriber now. Good work. Keep it up!
Good stuff man. Will watch some more of your videos on the weekend.
+Jonny Sorensen thanks
if the historicnerd loves your content i needed to check you out for sure and he is right, got another sub!
+Gokado Retro Reviews 😊 thanks so much man. I love historicnerd, he's the man. The research and 3d work he did for his Sega 64 video was fantastic.
yeah he is really great, and am loving your work as well, so ill be a regular around here :D
+Gokado Retro Reviews thanks again. Glad to hear it!
Awesome video as always dude! Never knew this existed.
(can't wait for the Jaguar video too!!)
+Laberge Thanks man. Jaguar vid is still coming. Since it's taking longer than I expected to finish and I pretty much had this video ready to go I decided to upload it since so much time had passed since my last upload.

Useless Duck Company That's why they added that stupid bell. So that not notifying subscribers is no longer their problem.
You know we've come a long ways when it would be considered ludicrous in this day and age for a athlete to be the spokesman for a home console or home console accessory that wasn't sports related. Crazy ad.
+Jenovi Yeah man, when I came across it I was like, "Mickey Mantle?!"
Just subscribed, you should do more of these gaming history documentaries.
+Kent Depamaylo Thanks! My next one is going to be on the Atari Jaguar and should be out in a week or two. It's actually going to be my longest video to date, coming in right around thirty minutes.
All of your videos are new information for me, I never knew any of this! I was still using dial up until damn near 2008 😂😂
Loved this! I was really curious about the rise and fall of famicom modem. Thanks man!
Shared on twitter as well.
Thanks so much! really appreciate it.

+angbald ha! Yeah I get the Al Snow thing from time to time. Glad you're digging the channel!
Great video dude, love the Famicom and its multi colored game cartridges.
+Mike Evans Yeah, I love her overall look and design of the Famicom and most of its accessories. I gotta say though, as the owner of a Famicom network system modern it's a really ugly add on.
Great vid! Looking forward to more!
+thelegend92399 Thanks!
Fantastic as always
+H. Celine thanks!
Really interesting videos you got here. I just discovered your channel and immediately subscribed.
+Rainer Mist Thanks so much. Should have the next video out in the next couple of weeks or so.
Wow, I had no idea this was a thing! Dial-up gambling, banking, and stocks (arguably gambling on its own) _on a Famicom_ of all things! Madness!
+tin pin Yeah, the gambling seems to really clash with Nintendo's squeaky clean image they like to portray.
You make amazing content!
+Milton De La Cruz thanks!
I really like this video I had never heard of this before and can't find many people talking about it. It's was very informative.
+Douglas Worthy Thanks. With it being not just a Japan exclusive but also a very niche device there just doesn't seem to be a lot of people that have heard about it outside of Japan. I found one relatively cheap, which is good considering it doesn't connect to anything anymore lol.

Y does this seem better online solution than any Nintendo system since?!
+adamlee007 haha, I know right?
Another great vid
I never thought the famicom could be used for horse racing stuff. thanks for the video
+Anas Elfellah yeah it's a weird and random peripheral.
oh tease!! that playcable looks seriously interesting!
+Art blender 😁
man.. this was WAY ahead of its time.. these days pretty much every game has the option to download them over the net.
+fpshooterful yeah, it's crazy that Nintendo did this so long ago.
Great video :-) I have a question...when will you release the Atari Jaguar video? I've been looking foward to it :-(
+KGRAMR thanks man. There's a really good chance the jaguar video will be out by Sunday. It's practically finished. Great work as always. Next I'd like to see a doc on the Wii dildo. Please make it happen.
+Stevinfinite Thanks buddy. That sounds like quite a pleasurable experience.
Sir, you deserve more subs
Thanks! One day...
I hope you'll talk about The Atari GameLine and Sega Channel somewhere down the line.
+ravager48 definitely. Both are on the list!
never heard of this..wish we had a horse race betting home console here in the states...awesome stuff man...
They actually tried to bring the famicom modem to the states to be used in the Illinois lottery. I didn't touch on it because it was such a tiny part of its history. IN hindsight i should've at least mentioned it. Anyway, state government shut the idea down and that was that.
0 dislikes.. no wonder. just stumbled upon your channel bro and its great! new Sub here! keep it up!
+rheysonn infante Thanks! I'm trying to put decent stuff out there but I know you can't please everyone. I'm sure the dislikes on this video are coming lol. Thanks for checking the channel out!

bro I fucking have become addicted to your channel
+Tim Brooks thanks man! Glad to hear it. The next video is going to be on the Atari Jaguar. I was able to get some input on it from Leonard Tramiel and am getting some assistance from a gentleman that works for Retro Gamer magazine with research verification. All of that has made the video take longer to complete bit I think it'll be well worth it. Thanks again for checking the channel out man.
Would love to see you do the 64DD. Great stuff BTW.
+1daniel66 thanks so much. The 64DD's not a bad idea, I may need to add it to the list.
This channel is criminally under subbed
Thanks! One day the subs will come.
You are so good!
+VisionThing Thanks! After a rough day that is really nice to read.
This was interesting, baby! thanks for this. ♥♡♡♡♡♥
+Ehrisaia Aleidria O'Shannon. Thanks, you're very welcome
What happened to the atari jaguar video please please please finish it
+raveboy004 it's still coming, I promise.
Quality over quantity. Gotta respect that. :)
Congratulations for nearly 10k subscribers!
h00t 555 Thanks! I'm trying to make stuff I can be proud of. I know if I half ass the Jaguar video I'll just regret it. And yeah, it's crazy being at almost 10K. I never expected to even get half of that.
Wow thats insane about Atari. I never knew that
Hey brother, discovered you when your Saturn/32x video popped up in my recommended videos. Dig what you're doing here. I am also a (former) indie wrestler with a gaming focused UA-cam channel, so you might dig my stuff as well. Keep up the good work.
+On the Stick sounds good man. I subbed and will check it out this weekend
Rad.
The first online DRM. Famicom GO
dang! I've watched all of the video game documentaries videos! What do I do now?
+George Watanabe lol I don't know but I wouldn't watch the wrestling videos. I promise I'm editing the next one but it won't be out for another week or two. Gonna be on the Atari Jaguar.
hmmm... I saw that playlist earlier but didn't watch it. now that you mentioned it.... lol!
The final version I'll finishing up does fix a couple minor things in this preview:
ua-cam.com/video/GQEdB1U4B9c/v-deo.html
nice!!! Can't wait for the new video! I like it that your videos are short and direct to the point. Keep it up!
+George Watanabe thanks, will do!
In my opinion anyway.
this tech looks a head of its time.
Awesome...but where's the Atari Jaguar documentary?????
You rock. 😁💪
+Ezio Auditore thanks! Yeah, it's a weird little accessory for sure. I was more surprised to learn about a Nintendo console being used for gambling!
That Mona Lisa graphic was way ahead of its time.. or is it just me?
+David Lewis Yeah, I felt the same way. It was really, really well done.
Wrestling With Gaming it shocked me! Great vids by the way and thx for the reply, happy Xmas 👍😄
+David Lewis thanks for checking the channel out and merry Christmas to you too!
It's 2017 and Nintendo still can't find the optimal way to use their systems for online functionality.
2019 and Nintendo still sucks at networking lol
Need to get that horse race money :D
Daddy needs that money to pay NTT's connection fees!
wouldn't let me comment on the new video. Did you say you wrestled in Puerto Rico?
+Nathan Justice i was born in Puerto Rico. Never actually wrestled there though.
Ah well never mind. I've always heard stories about the craziness there.
One of those few times that the UA-cam recommendations lead to a great new channel for me. Really good vid! By the way, do you know Top Hat Gaming man? He is also a wrestler gamer-small UA-cam channel. You should become acquainted with each other and maybe collab someday. :-)
+Glen Berkel I haven't heard of him before but I'll be sure to check him out. Thanks for the recommendation!
I dig your channel. Do you have a twitter feed?
+dick trickery thanks! Yeah, I'm on Twitter @wrestlesgaming
the only reason this channel doesnt have more views is because of the 'Wrestling' part.
To a younger audience. Still, you bring up some good points and I appreciate the feedback.
Top quality gaming documentaries either way, so keep up good work. I can see a lot of effort put into finding the clips, putting in all the captions, and the transition work.
+GetStainedAlready Thanks, appreciate the kind words.
also I think an underrated aspect is the narration. very clearly spoken and also spoken as if you are interested in the topic at hand. Some youtubers sound like they are bored to death of their own video!
3:20
Lol! FAMMMMMMICOM
Nintendo could have made it more sucessful if they placed options following: 1.game downloading 2.online gaming and 3.having it in USA 4.better connection system 5.program that allows to make a game AND THE BIGGEST ONE 6.HAVE IT ON NES
History of the GameShark maybe????
+Jake Thompson Yep! Definitely going to cover the Game Shark, Action replay, and a few other cheat devices at some point.
Nintendo is a head of it at the time. 😀👍🎮
Ah the days of dial up, truly a nightmare, haha.
+EarthboundX lol
Look out Norm.. we got a Rivalry a brewing!
+Jason Hicks lol I dunno about that. Gaming Historian is untouchable in my opinion. He produces my favorite retrospectives.
I like em too. It's unfortunate that both All your history are belong to us and Game Trailer's Retrospective are gone... Those are up there on my list ;)
+Jason Hicks omg, all your history was FANTASTIC. I still rewatch some of it from time to time.
Mickey Mantle hawked Intellivision?!
+lordjimbo2 I was surprised when I discovered it too. I just had to include it.
Great video!! I really enjoy your channel
Uemura is pronounced [OO-eh MOOdda] (the DD being pronounced like the DD in 'ladder' as naturally spoken).
R = L In japanese, [OO-eh MOOla]
Did you steal this videos content from Kelsey Lewin's video in January? Some of it is word for word !
Here's the link in the description:
www.glitterberri.com/developer-interviews/how-the-famicom-was-born/developing-the-famicom-modem/
I actually purposely left out some information and encouraged people to go to the website to learn more as I wanted to drive some people to it.
welcome to the 80's
where commercials were cringy af
fashion horrible
cars and music amazing
and i wasn't even alive yet :/
too bad that the plans for a NES version did not released, and no games at all
The host only proves that wrestlers have also brawns and brains
+kirby march Barcena thanks 😀
somebody get cracking on emulating and hosting private servers for this shit. I just need to use my nintendo to bet my house on a fucking horse then I can die in peace.
I would love if we still had to pay 25 bucks for a new game LOL
+Mrfox456 me too!
so how come nintendo consoles are garbage online today
+psp785 That is an excellent question.
Looks like they still haven’t learned, judging by the dumpster fire of the Nintendo Switch Online.
Probably also failed because of no 8bit Hentai.
And that sounded funnier in my head.
+Mark Boon lol
That's for the idea. I dunno if Kojima goes over it in MGS but modems have been done since DARPA
Hyperdemention Neptunia the Animation references Satliteview for SNES Lowee the nation that expys Nintendo has a abandoned satilite network based on it.
I really like your channel. I think it's one of the best on UA-cam. I really like that you do your homework on your facts. Keep up the great work.
+BASHEM72 Thanks, really appreciate that. I love making these videos. I have a very long list of topics I'd like to cover so there's plenty more to come.
