Really impressive work! I'd have a couple questions if you don't mind answering: I wonder if the start and the end of the obstacle is tagged somehow or you step into a volume? Is this automatically recognized with tracers? Do the vaulting obstacles need to have a specific height or is this solved programmatically while still feeling natural? I noticed that there's visible hand clipping right at the start of the video when you climb over the orange obstacle.🤔 Great job overall!
This is incredibly easy actually. There is an integration tutorial already done on his channel, the setup is as easy as my very first UE4 tutorial, I promise!
@@ChrixB There is no tutorial in exactly that way. Still, the author provided a merge tutorial with the general 3rd person template from Epic Games. If you only have basic knowledge you will still have no issue understanding what to do!
The animation is always playing fully, I am also pretty disapointed that you can´t stop mid-animation but it´s more of an automatic process that is triggered as soon as you press an interaction button like F or E.
No this is not included, I guess you would need to do that on your own. What I can recommend is looking up a guy named Jakub W on UA-cam or Patreon, for 12,50$ you can get a complete pack with climbing and rope swinging, you can easily integrate this pack into that template!

First of all, I did not do any of the animations at all, since I am not the creator of the pack haha As far as I noticed for now, the animations are not procedural, still, for some reason they can actually detect where your surface ends or begins, therefore at least the length seems to be optional. When it comes to meshes you seem to need the exact size of the demo meshes so the animations work properly. do these animations have idles? For example the prone crawling/ladder climbing, can you stop then continue or does the animation play automatically?
