We don't want anyone to make excuses when it comes to our children. Using donor eggs was a way out of infertility for me and my husband. Infertile couples should set their doubts aside. They should stop fear social judgment. My dh and I decided that we love each other and we want to give the world our own child. And this is what our clinic helped us to do. I'm so grateful for this chance! I became a mother of a beautiful girl and I've never regret my decision.

I had ivf with donor eggs 2 years ago. The procedure was anonymous. We didn't have an ability to see the photo of our donor. But we knew that our clinic chooses donors for de ivf programs carefully. We gave a list of all needed features(we wanted our donor to have same hair color, nose and face shape as I have, etc). We were given 3 variants so we chose the one which suited the most. I've got pregnant from the first try. Now we have our 2yo daughter) We were looking for agencies and clinics where de ivf can be done for a really long time. Eventually we picked up clinic in Europe and didn't regret.
Would you mate with a man just based on his description? What a terrible experience paying all that cash for a description.

I’m definitely considering donating my eggs
So in Germany we don't get money for egg donations expenses up to £750 max. So I replied to an ad from a couple desperate for an egg donor. They have two years on the waiting list. We exchanged 3/4 emails each. They were very keen, seemed like a lovely couple and gave me their fertility clinic reference number to move forward with the donation. We were exchanging details in the emails and they asked about my religious persuasion. I replied that I am an atheist and have been since my teens. There was then a pause of two days and a reply stating that they didn't feel ok with using atheist’s eggs as they are very religious and didn't feel it is appropriate. I can't quite articulate how weird I feel about this. I mean IVF has to be one of the biggest scientific breakthroughs in recent times and that doesn't bother their religious stance, but using atheist’s eggs when they are desperate for a baby is a step too far? Since, I swore off to do it in altruistic way. I heard that in Ukraine there is a clinic which provides ootids to European reproductive centers. I’m planning to attend one.
They maybe feel like the child will grow up not wanting to be religious? Not sure but I’m Christian and if I’m as looking for a egg donor I would probably prefer them to be religious too.. but then again I don’t think being religious can be genetic LOL because my brother sure isn’t religious as me
I'm all in favour of egg donors and sperm donors however not in the European System where no pictures are available of the adult donors. Would you mate with a description for Large sums of cash? Would you date based on a friends description?

From the medical point of view choosing an egg donor is not an easy process. There must be many medical examinations done. A donor should be healthy without any addictions and health issues. It is necessary for a donor to have at least one health baby of their own so one can see and check the heredity. Also, appearance is important as I think everybody wants to have a beautiful child but not an ugly one). For some of the intended parents the age is important as well. I'm looking for a donor in her 30ies not less as it this age, the body is absolutely formed and "experienced".
If the newborn come with genetic disorders, to whom are you going to blame? The Lab or donor? would you take a brave to grow her/him or what are going to do? Aren't you thinking that not matter what profile you choose, there's is a risk of the newborn with a congenital disease. Maybe even because of you or your genotype!
That's why they do PG testing on the genes of the embryos before transferring them into the womb.
